  1. The problem with tank armour is that there is only a few places where it is necessary (Vorago, maybe Nex/KK but thats pretty much it). Generally people just want max DPS, which makes pwoer armour the more wanted armour in almost every case, even with buffs/fixes.
  2. I'm in huge support of this. Just an npc which gives you a nice looking 120 cape if your account has 104.3m xp, no change to highscores needed, it's just a cosmetic acquired when you reach a certain amount of xp. I don't think 120 all skills for max cape is a good idea. If a new player started this game and tried to achieve 99 all skills without having access to bils from a previous account or knowing the game off by heart and all it's efficient methods, I would say it would take them around 2 years of playing to acquire that cape. I'm assuming that they would only play 3-4 hours a day as the average person is either studying or working and has social/family obligations. 2 years to acquire an "end-game" cape is a very long time, and pushing that out further by what, a factor of 5 at least, is very very intimdating indeed. 2 years to get 120 all skills playing 3 hours a day without knowing the game or efficient methods....when nobody even has it yet excluding Suomi. What the hell are you talking about? Sure if it was a max requirement more people would aim for it, but still it would a huge amount of time, much more than you suggested. Though in the end we both agree, it is not a good idea.
  3. Questions about Refer-a-friend: It works with bonds? So an account using 1 bond for 14 days of membership activates the 10% xp bonus? Or how many bonds does it take?
  4. True, the point I was making however is that our standards are going to be constantly pushed up because the amount of experience we gain will forever increase. What if they increased all skills to level 120 or something? Now there would be more skill capes and the high scores might shift slightly... I wouldn't mind if they increased skills to 120 if I got to keep my 99 cape, as I grinded fletching with maple longbows like a year or two ago (chose to make money over xp, bit me in the butt after I realized how many hours I lost), and firemaking was okay, very slow and afk. In the context of what he is talking about, that would make 0 difference, since 120 is less than 200M xp.
  5. Yeah all the special voyages are from the highest region you are.
  6. Really want the chronicle one, its really annoying having to destroy my chronicles because its not worth my time cashing them in but the hunter xp is nice.
  7. Gratz to Forsbeg on 200M thieving and Goud on 200M Divination! Goud also passed Almostlost to take rank #6. Forsberg is closing the gap quickly on him too.
  8. I don't believe he was after that sort of answer. If this was another thread sure, but this 200M in all skills. This thread is about top players and top training methods. Using green/golds is not something any top player, or even most maxed players, would do.
  9. "They want to make the city work like a D&D where each hour one city will have the light of seren which will mean that a portion of the city will have better skilling; xp, skilling, etc." This sounds really cool, but also kinda annoying. Combining this with auras seems like most efficient training; like woodcutting with lumberjack, then move onto mining with quarrymaster as the light moves around etc. I am getting more and more excited for this city!
  10. Okay cool thanks for letting me know. Excited to see him and Drumgun train with all that built up bonus xp. Goud should finish 200M Divination and Forsberg should finish 200M thieving by the end of this week too.
  11. This is exactly how I feel. Sadly this won't happen, seeing how as soon as they put the poll up people are expecting it to happen, so not bringing Legacy back would cause even more rage.
  12. Is Dragonseance still building up bonus xp or has he majorly reduced his play time does anybody know? Forsberg should pass Elvis tomorrow.
  13. Seems like a low rate to me, especially since he doesn't have to care about other combat stats and assuming he uses an avatar Well 20 hours might not be exact. If it was 18 hours, it is nearly 120K xp/hr. It could have slightly less hours just on slayer too, with farming and other things he might have been doing.
  14. 110K slayer xp an hour, 20 hours a day for 30 days (month) is around 64M slayer xp, so yeah.
  15. I never knew Magic Notepaper was tradeable, not sure how I feel about that. Since I power train all skills the only circumstance I can imagine using the notepaper is slayer for something like Dbones which would have been left on the ground, but they are worth more than a notepaper so it is worth using it for them. I could also use them for an easy boss like GWD where I could stay a long time, but even then I have a pack yak to help bank items.
  16. At least it gives us a high level something. Smithing is greatly needed there. Smithing is my #1 choice too ;)
  17. Just because the skill is chosen for a training method in Elf City doesn't mean it will get a whole rework...in fact I am nearly certain it won't.
  18. I am surprised how much talk about Yelps there is compared to the skills from the Elf City. Personally I voted for smithing, then I switched it to fishing when I saw smithing was in the lead but mining/fishing were close. I am surprised how high the mining vote is with LRC, while fishing in LRC is less than half of the xp rate as mining. I don't think most people train via barbarian / C2 methods, and even if they do, mining is slightly faster. I guess fishing is more afk, but with the action bar gold deposits are so easy too.
  19. That may have worked, idk. I will probably use revolution when it comes out. However, its taken way too long now. Many who dislike eoc are permanently poisoned against it by now. Momentum has been so much lower dps for so long that it will be a hard sell even boosted. Revolution while cool for me, when I mentioned it to friends that disliked eoc all I could get from them was that it was still eoc and they aren't interested. Legacy has their interest piqued. Just want to point out that Momentum didn't decrease the xp/hr from pre-eoc, but EOC brought the chance to get even higher rates. So when EOC came out, if you used Momentum you would get the same rates as before, just less than the maximum. Which is how it should be, like many other skills.
  20. "Bonus xp is FROZEN, you will not earn bonus xp during the weekend" I guess in the context of that post, I figured that meant on the usual things such as gilded altars. But taken out of that post it sounds kinda obvious, thanks for pointing it out.
  21. Still can't tell if the bonus xp from the weekend will stack with bonus xp from skills. Planning on training summoning/construction that weekend. Maybe some fishing/crafting depending on answers to the above question.
  22. That is what momentum is for. And they are bringing in momentum plus and revolution, so you can get decent dps while standing around and chatting like you used too.
  23. If I remember correctly, the bxpw modifier has previously overridden all other forms of bxp (including gilded alters and stuff) in the past few bxpws. Last time, pendants and so on worked during DXPW. Yeah, those are both points I thought about. Some stuff worked, some stuff didn't and now it all is in the same boat. It really would affect mine (and I am sure many other people's) plans, so if anybody hears anything, please post it!
  24. Question, do you guys think bonus XP will stack the bonus xp multiplier? Since all bonus xp is in the same form now. So thinks like stealing creations or whatever would be even more effective.
  25. One could argue that if they die that they aren't really a God, meaning Bandos, Guthix etc. aren't true Gods.
