  1. I spent 6m on Nomad with stats far-inferior to what I have now. You'll breeze through him with the SS+Turm advice here.
  2. A Zerk ring will provide less than 1% bonus exp if you're maxed in every other department.
  3. Herp derp. It being nearly 4am is my excuse. <_< There's one thing about the DPS spreadsheet that I don't understand. How exactly do I pull up the max def of my target?
  4. This might sound lazy but I have no idea as to what I'm searching for while you do. Is there any chance of a link of thread title to point me in the right direction? As a rabid efficiency freak, I'd be VERY interested in finding out exactly how equipment bonuses work.
  5. Slayer or chins are how you train ranged.
  6. Yes, I'm entirely aware of how to switch prayers. If I wasn't, I would even be getting 22 per hour. Would it help if I recorded a video of a typical trip? I'm not sure where I'm making mistakes since I'm pretty peachy-keen when it comes to prayer and equipment switching. EDIT: I assumed that a weapon's atk bonus is added to a player's based atk, resulting in players with lower levels and bonuses benefitting more from weapons with higher atk bonuses, therefore making slower but more accurate weapons like godswords worth experimenting with.
  7. Why do you think we're limiting him? We're just informing him of the fact that what he's doing is not efficient, just in case he does not realise it. A lot of people don't. Tell me one way in which we're physically or psychologically limiting him from doing what he wants. If he values income, he'll follow our advice. If he does not, he'll go to the gnome stronghold.
  8. A lot of people also don't understand how income and wealth work. They seem to think that gathering resources yourself makes skills free. Those people either end up being too egotistical to admit fault or grateful for the lesson. If this particular poster is one of those people, then this is his chance to respond in one of those ways. If he genuinely doesn't care about efficiency, then he can go with one of the other answers provided in this thread.
  9. I never eat until after a kill while waiting for a respawn and I drop a large number of the sharks for drops. They're there for security since half of the TDs' roars seem to end up with them staying on the same attack and hitting me for 200+ before I can switch my prayer back. Godswords seem to be better for DPS than a whip with just supers. I originally went with it because I was sick of my ddef flying to the other side of the inv when I switched weapons so a two-handed weapon seemed appropriate. However, if the extra two ticks of attack speed (albeit with a lower total str and accuracy) from a whip really is unanimously agreed upon as being important, then I'll stick with the whip. Just to confirm, are you sure that 90 attack with super attacks will result in the whip and a ddef being a better overall choice than a godsword? EDIT: Please don't tell me that your demons consistently change their attack style when roaring. If that's the case, there are some serious issues that I need to look into.
  10. Quick update. I'm managing 22-28 kills per hour using Karil's and a godsword. Worth continuing? EDIT: I picked the godsword in the end because it makes inventory and attack style management far easier when used in conjuntion with Karil's. Darklight becomes slightly less accurate but it's not that noticeable.
  11. I thought the drop rate for claws was 1/512. If it's as you say, this is definitely a no-brainer.
  12. With such resounding support for Karil's, I'll give it a chance. The price of bolt racks still worries me, however.
  13. If you enjoy repeatedly jogging to an obelisk and back again, followed by spending a few mins waiting for some glowing glass balls to stick to some wooden sticks, then fair enough. Go for it. However, most people would assume that people derive their fun from training these skills in the smallest amount of time possible in order to make money to afford gear used for killing Nex and co. You know, stuff that actually gets a bit of adrenaline pumping. If you, against all reason, enjoy the actual act of grinding, then just do whatever suits you. It doesn't sound like you want your mind changed.
  14. I merely made a reasonable request for evidence. I never decried the credibility of this forum's players. Please do not insinuate anything of the sort. I've switched to using a whip but am sticking with broad bolts due to the huge price leap when switching to anything higher-tier than that. I have also acquired the enhanced excalibur and am now actually having to drop a large amount of my food to accommodate all of my drops. Thank you four the assistance, everyone.
  15. The wiki lied to me again? Unimaginable! Since I have no reason to accept a proposition without evidence, what's your reasoning behind that statement? Same applies to the wiki. However, I see it as been more credible than nothing due to this particular piece of information having been visibly uncontested for a long period of time.
  16. This intrigues me. Are the demons' weakness to stab negligible, then?
  17. I'm not competing with them at all. I'm using them to my advantage by dealing more damage than any bot could deal before moving on to another dragon. I can fill an entire inventory in a couple of minutes. Remember that I specified "crashing" as my activity of choice. Bots do not gain a single drop when I choose to use them.
  18. My stats are the only things in question as I am fairly capable of combat against tormented demons without any major mistakes. I recently gained the ability to profit from them as I have finally finished my journey towards 79 summoning but my lack of a chaotic weapon, extremes and other high-level benefits worries me. This is my loadout for TDs: Elite Void with melee and ranged helms Korasi's sword Rune xbow w/broads Dragon defender Ava's Alerter Dragon boots Amulet of Glory Ring of Wealth I'm currently using super strength and attack, ranged potions, a fire titan and sharks. I am considering initially bring a tortoise loaded with sharks and leaving the titan at the bottom of it to significantly lengthen my journeys, though. My question is simple. Should I use TDs as primary money-making method or stick to crashing green dragon bots in the Chaos Tunnels? In case anyone reads this before I change my RSN in my Tip.it profile, my current RSN is "AHappyBunyip".
  19. You require the crystal trinket obtained by speaking to Arianwyn (sp?). However, while this will grant you access to the Temple of Light, it is highly inadvisable to craft death runes using this method as the journey and the aggressive shadows in the area will drastically bring down your exp and profit rate, making the Ourania altar, nature runes or the abyss far better methods.
  20. My name's now NaffryisLame. Check me out. =P They're not overly-high at all. My combat stats are all midrange. All you have to do is be smart with how much damage you inflict before moving on to your next target and be accurate with prayer. I always choose to do 250-300 damage if the horde of bots is large enough to down the dragon in one cycle of attacks or 400 if there are only a couple of bots. I make sure to have chivalry active before I make my first attack for all targets.
  21. Then let US benefit from D bones crashing to hell! It's win-win!
  22. Dear god, you guys are bad with humour. Of course I know it's not botting. I was merely presenting a hilariously ironic money-making method in a compelling and refreshing manner. :| If I wasn't tabbing out to read the forums after every 3-min full-inventory trip, I'd be making several million an hour just ballooning to Varrock, filling up on bones and hides, teleing to castle wars and repeating. You guys should constantly crash the bots' parties in every world and hope that they give up.
  23. Potting up, walking into green drags, hitting them as they spawn for 300 and letting my personal army of bots do the rest of the work for me? This is making millions. Get in on this before the bots are repurposed!
