  1. Personally, at 380k thieve bonus/hour and 350k hunt/hour it's worth for both skills, especially how much you cut down on actually doing the skill. Potentially not worth doing it for thieving, dependent on fletch xp. Average hour doing traders/broads is approx 300k:350k thiev:fletch. I think I'm right in saying this is the only source of lossless fletching xp, so reducing your thieving time by heisting (can't take broads into heist), would in fact increase your total time to 200m all since youd have to fletch (admittedly at 600k+ fletch xp/h) later on too. And, for hunt, if you only do aura hours you can get 900k xp in an hour. (OMG a post actually on topic)
  2. The fact that people have 100m+ stored bxp makes comparisons between calculators a bit redundant
  3. Got to the part where he was talking about the 3rd hit of conc blast. Laughed. Of course he's not going to do as well with a wand/book if he doesnt use it right. What he is also assuming is that he is equally competent at dps-ing in all 3 styles, but his kph seem low, like 10-20% lower compared to mine, and I'm certainly not going to claim to be the world's best at dps. (as an example, his nechryael kph with drygores is 348, mine is 460, and drey's is 492) He does mention later on the relative values of melee/mage/range xp. If your only aim in rs is to get 200m slayer, then sure mage everything (and we haven't even mentioned barraging yet), but I imagine that most people going for 200m slayer are also going for 200m all combat. Glacors being almost 750k/h compared to melee/range being approx 400-500k (assuming op melee methods soon to be nerfed) mean that the shortest time to 200m all cb + 200m slay involves maging on slayer tasks as little as possible. Notably, using a cannon increases not only your slayer xp/h, but also the percentage of your cb xp going toward range rather than either of the other (quicker) styles, dramatically decreasing time to 200m all cb + 200m slay, but I can sympathise with not feeling you have enough money for cballs (although I am willing to admit I don't have a clue what the break-even point on how much you value time is for cannoning)
  4. then ba + agilityspan would be best
  5. All of the ones in EE I think Carcass does ba too. He was supposed to join a team that I was in, but he wouldn't leave the lobby :c Have seen drowns there too
  6. Technically, you don't gain Agility xp until you train agility.
  7. Oh yea. You're from EE clan. I'm regret the secounds I spent trying to follow your logic. What numbers are you using, or is it all still a big secret. The numbers I use aren't a secret at all. Never were and never will be. I've actually sent the file I use to calc it to atleast 2 friends by now. I've also mentioned them so many times on the past so I can't bother going through that process once again. I expected it would be common sense by now that the numbers I use are based on the methods "top players" use to train their skills. I have no idea about what would be the purpose of including methods like C2 and so on if "top players" doesn't use them. It would only ruin one of the main purpose of any calculator (accuracy). Edited my post so it makes more sense now since mods removed some posts before mine. Ignoring the bait about C2, which part of Drey's numbers are you arguing with exactly? Changing smithing to 285k for rune legs adds only 30 hoursextremes/ovls are the only sensible way of training herbI know that ba + barb is a relatively new way of training agil and youve not been playing much recently, but surely that shouldnt exclude it from your calculator?pp with ibis (perhaps with traders for aura hours) is again not an unusual training methodEven excluding the use of seismics and dropping the slayer xp/h to a relatively low 125k would increase this to only about 740 hours. (for reference, i managed to average about 110k/h recently using only drygores and ovls - no cannon, no steel titan scrolls and very few slayer points - and this was by no means the most efficient of slaying)Even assuming a few deaths at wbs dropping the average farm xp/h to 1200k, farm wouldn't be more than 85 hours total. In short, your figure of 4585 hours seems at best ludicrously misinformed, at worst deliberate trolling
  8. Lold. Show me videos of you doing these rates for 18h's a day please. Whether or not Drey can achieve these rates for 18h/day is irrelevant to them being the best xp rates in game. However, i do question why you're recommending he does farming from wbs rather than smithing
  9. Given the name of the thread, I think it's a pretty safe assumption that that's what we're talking about.
  10. What's the most xp anyone has ever got in a year?
  11. A misunderstanding of what exactly? That post was directly talking about the competition for the top spot, nothing more. No need to be so defensive. You said: "But I don't blame anyone who chooses not to play with such an anal attention to detail at such long periods of time, or who would even want to." I've never encouraged constantly paying high attention to detail for long periods of time. I've never said anyone has to do this nor have I said that any player in the game even does this. Your post had nothing to do with competition for top spot... You don't encourage it directly but you certainly like to make a point of praising people who do it. It's a debatable difference sure, but it's pretty clear you think less of 'casual' players. It's a comment directed at all the top players, not just you. You might have a substantial lead on everyone else, but you're not the only top player in the picture. If it sounded like it was an attack on your playstyle, then I apologize because it was clearly not. That said, I'm not sure how saying if people have a negative attitude about closing the gap with the top player is not a direct statement on the top players themselves, but this might've been another misunderstanding. I fail to see how anything less than attentive, prolonged hours of game time could catch up to where you're at currently, but hey, maybe I'm wrong. "nor have I said that any player in the game even does this" It's like neither of you even read that yet you assumed there were people that do. People naturally go into a trance state while skilling even if their focus is not misdirected towards other content on their screens. Nobody maintains complete focus the entire time all day long every day. So frankly I don't understand how you can even refer to such people as existing. I don't do it nor does anyone else. That's not to say we can't maintain fast or perfect speeds the entire time of course. It just doesn't require the constant focus you assume. "You might have a substantial lead on everyone else, but you're not the only top player in the picture." "I fail to see how anything less than attentive, prolonged hours of game time could catch up to where you're at currently, but hey, maybe I'm wrong." There's not enough real life time available in the world for anyone to catch up. At the pace I've been setting since 07 started, I'm set to max in 2 months. If you take a look at the TTM page, the next closest to me is User and he's about a month away and gaining further distance at his current pace, which also happens to be his best pace yet since it's summer and he's got full free time. Even if he magically became more efficient and became the best nolifer in RS history, he still couldn't max before me. There's not enough real life time available to do that anymore. It's just the facts on the state of things right now. http://crystalmathla...?page=timetomax Ever heard of not counting your chickens?
  12. At the very least it I think the question mark needs to be removed
  13. Regardless of your personal feelings (whether you like/use the content or not), unless your only goal is specifically to get X mining xp, warbands will be more efficient (compare ~1.4m mining xp/h vs 108k mining + 75k smithing + 72k mage)
  14. This. If people are serious about a race to 200m all (which I realise not everyone is), they would be doing warbands. 3 hours of lrc vs 15 mins of wbs is a substantial daily difference - 82.5 extra hours/month.
