  1. I don't see how he could have only 70 or even 80 hp with 99 str. 99 str is about 13 million exp. A little less than a third that is 4m. 4 million is like 87ish level hp. Unless he used something that trains str without training hp. Like bare-handed fishing... Huh. I'm sure there are other ways. I'm not really current on member stuff.
  2. It's technically possible to be in the 50s range with 99 str, and 1 att and def. I don't think he could have been lower than 50, though because of hit point experience. It would still be hell to train it, though... For that guy's sake, I almost hope your friend was wrong.
  3. Yes, it's safe to assume they don't want to do it. But to make it so that it doesn't allow for basic variable and if, then statements is fairly absurd. Mind you, I'm not saying you're being absurd. It's quite possible that that's the truth. If so, they're the one's being stupid. As to the rest of it, I admit that belittling someone is usually wrong. I misunderstood the meaning of the word before that post I made. I apologize for that temporary ignorance. Still, I was not belittling him. As far as I can tell, my doing so did not affect nicrune in any negative way, nor was it intended to. I was using irony to make a point about his assumptions being useless when actual evidence would only have been a few clicks away. Never did I say anything that could have been viewed in the same light as "haha you don't know this an I do". I was actually assuming that he did know those facts. My entire point would have been lost if he didn't know those things. Using irony is a very, very valid way of making a point in writing. It highlights exactly why someone is wrong in such a way that makes them rethink their incorrect position. This is getting way off topic. Paw_Claw if you want to continue this, feel free to post it up in the rants forum. I'll keep an eye out for the next day or so. EDIT: Might be more appropriate in the off topic forum. Not really sure. If you post somewhere, pm me or reply here.
  4. Most of the skill clans I've seen have either no reqs, a total skill level req, or a certain level req in any non-combat skill (some exclude woodcutting).
  5. Totally off topic... But 3 times? Really? I have 42 agility and it regens almost exactly twice as fast as 1 agility. Do you still have the exact times it took to regen a certain amount? I was under the impression that it was sort of a logarithmic equation with a reduced rate of return for each successive agility level.
  6. If you're filthy rich, there's that service I remember being advertised a while back for people with 1 def who would sit in the wildy and take your hits while someone else would run him food. It shouldn't be more than several hundred million gold for that much time  Still, if you've got the cash... EDIT: Nevermind. I can't find it. Maybe they died off.
  7. Since when is it not alright to belittle someone who gives you a stupid, worthless answer in a forum setting? More importantly, when did it become a bad thing to use knowledge in a counter argument? Also, you don't even have to tell the game to use a different equation. All you do is put a line of code in when logging onto a free world that says "free = 1" and a line in the energy regen equation that says "if free = 1, then rate = whatever-it-is-when-agility-is-1" Yes, it's more work, but so is the whole division between member and free worlds. Mamong, you're completely wrong.
  8. The only definition of sarcasm by the Oxford English Dictionary: "A sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt. Now usually in generalized sense: Sarcastic language; sarcastic meaning or purpose" My remark was not sharp, not bitter, and not cutting. It was far too subtle to be considered any of those, evidenced by the fact that someone actually thought I was being serious. One of several definitions of irony by the OED: "A figure of speech in which the intended meaning is the opposite of that expressed by the words used" Wow, that definition of irony sure fits the description of what I said earlier. How amazing. See, "How amazing" was sarcasm. Are you getting the difference yet? Also, you can catch bass with bare-handed? I thought it was only tuna, swords, and sharks.
  9. I'll gladly make bread and wine. I would also suggest black priest robes. It is a funeral after all. Add me.
  10. If you want to get there as fast as possible, you might want to grab some ranged armor. And a short bow since they shoot faster. And get a maple bow , while you're at it. There's usually people selling armor at the archery shop in Varrock 1.
  11. "Making it impossible"? Are you joking? I'll admit that the Jagex programmers are lazy, but even they could make agility not work at all in free worlds if they really wanted to. Just like how it would be easy to make it possible to bare-handed fish in the free world. Easier than making it only possible in the member's worlds, for that matter. And don't give me any crap about how I was just "trying to sound smart". I was pointing out the fact that his assumptions based on no actual evidence are useless. I asked a question which would be fairly easy for any member with 55 fishing to verify in about 2 minutes. He gave me an "I don't think" answer, which is about as useful as the "I don't know" answer he gave for the other question. With that said, thank you for actually answering the questions. I will assume you are speaking from experience or knowledge from a reliable source. And for the record, it was ironic, not sarcastic.
  12. Just like agility doesn't give you a regen bonus and you can't don colored gloves in the free worlds, right? Thanks for trying dude, but that did not answer either of my questions with any certainty. Does anyone know for sure?
  13. After you finish the barbarian training, can you use bare-handed fishing in f2p worlds as well as members worlds? Also, is there any difference in catch rate? Thanks.
