Black Metal bands used to do it to hide their identity (and black metal is closely related to death) Emo bands just want to look scary. So putting a dress on obviously works wonders.

Just sounds like ignorance to me. You've gone completely off the point of the bands you listed not being screamo and you've nothing to back up your statements, so do one.

I find it HIGHLY hypocritical that you're telling me to keep my mouth closed because i don't know you, and then you're telling me to "go and listen to metal sh*t or whatever the hell im into." I didn't say I didnt like the music, because I actaully own and quite like some of their music, but that doesn't make you less of a rectum on legs. We're going in circles again, FFTL are NOT SCREAMO, NEITHER ARE UNDEROATH OR SILVERSTEIN, THEY ARE POST-HARDCORE/EMO. Sonny Moore is not talented. He's whiney, he's tone deaf, and he looks like a fricken girl. The only reason they sell so much is because pathetic little dipshats like are too weak to take out your emotions any other way. Oh yeah, saying you'd make out with a guy, way to be another generic insecure emo kid with his face so far up he's crapping out his own mascara. You have no idea what screamo is, and kids like you would get battered at a screamo gig, and i'd be proud to be the one kicking your face in.

lets not forget that being drunk can make you do stupid things when you're with friends - stupid, but hilarious :) so it makes for good times!

yea people who go out just to get drunk and then brag about it for the next two weeks are annoying as hell. i drink with mates but we dont even get worked up about it anymore, its like "meh mayaswell get wasted" "mmmkay" and then stay up all night watching movies and playing ps2/xbox. its agitating when people act like drinking is all that matters to them, especially when they hardly drink :| maturity > knobbers

To me, it's THE seems like THE PERFECT excuse for a lot of people to go out and party their bottoms off, get drunk, have fun with the opposite gender (if you know what I mean :wink:), etc... :D Dunno, theres just something about new years eve which seperates it from other seasonal parties as just being insane and out of control. House party tomorrow, WOOH!
