If you're talking about the brown noise, it's below the human hearing range (if it exists). Somewhere like 5-20 hz I believe it's around 6hz. It doesnt matter that you can't physically hear it because the amplification of the waveform still increases as volume does, thus the effect would be greater. Either way i'm quite sure most home speakers can't reproduce even below 40hz, let alone down to single figures... And i still fricken hate whitenoise with a passion.

Personally, i'd leg it away the minute i heard. He's 17, got his whole life ahead of him. And aside from that, she's not even told him, personally i'd take that the same as lieing, and when its something this big.. You can either spend the next month or so feeling depressed for leaving someone you love or spending the rest of your life the way you wanna spend it. Thats how i see it anyways...get out, now :D
