Reign of Terror Explain.. They started out as a clan who disliked and broke the unwritten honor codes that the rest of the clan world went by, for publicity and for spite. They crashed every f2p war they found out about, and every p2p war they could. They even crashed fun events! But they became a large problem to the rest of the clans, and an anti-no-honor alliance was set up to protect wars from no-honor clans including RoT. The strategy of protecting wars worked well enough to make it not worth it economically for RoT to keep crashing wars, in the free world at least. They appear to be trying to regain the respect of the clan world now, and are planning a fight pits fun event on New Years, but they are known for tricking the trustworthy, so I dunno what they're going to do. They were definitely founded just to be bad, but the clan scene is much more complicated than cops and robbers, heroes and villains. Basically, anyone who's not your ally is your enemy, but should be treated like a person whenever clans are not involved. That is very accurate and detailed, and I agree completely with it. RoT are now the main No-Honour clan, now that NI is pretty much dead (its leader joined rot). They are pretending to be good in order to get ranked, but I advise everyone to stay wise to what they're doing. Once you are NH, you can't just go Honourable in a click.

Both are completely seperate. PK run-ins show a clan's ability to return and use the battlefield wiseley, whereas Wars test organisation, and there is more pressure on them. Some clans may be terrible at PK run-ins but great at wars, and vice versa.

The 3 main factors are: Levels, Numbers, and Organisation. I believe organisation is the most important: levels barely make any difference, and huge numbers can lead to poor organisation. Adelais defeat on tunescape is a prime example, being outnumbered 3:1 yet still pulling through.

DS can alwas defeat DI in f2p. EH and Corr will continue getting stronger and put an emposing threat on DS and DI, and maybe eventualy out-return them. F2P success is about how much you can return, as the 7 hour DF v DI fight showed. The p2p top position will be constantly fought over for by RoT and DI, but with possibly more joining RoT, and maybe RoT to become #1, even though a lot of the stuff they do is pathetic. EH is 4 months old.

His Lordship has made a suggestion that should reveloutanise the use of Player Owned Houses in the terms of clan use. The main idea is allowing a house, with the builders permission, to be open to anyone on their friend's list. This would make houses a lot better for clan interactions and create a more friendly environment. Here is the official suggestion from the runescape forums. Please go to thread 24-25-325-24307761 to support this much needed update. It needs your support to get noticed. If done successfully, houses could be a whole lot more clan-orientated as well as for personal use. They would be excellent for clan meetings, drop parties, and many more, and the builder would not have to constantly keep going to let people in. Do you agree? Post your support on 24-25-325-24307761 Thanks, Tnuac.

What about the eastern countries and australia. They have abolished it? This has sense morally: and some of the tax paying population would much rather pay for a criminal to be exectuted, not catered for. But, the question is is it worth that massive amount of money to kill 1 person? I am strongly for the idea of slaving..some people, like someone said, feel no remorse or guilt while they are locked up. The other alternative to capital punishment is making them do something productive. The only problem arises from there is that the more outside they get, the more chance there is of escaping. Its not just a matter of them escaping..some murders could be sent back out after just 7 years of feeling revnege and anger instead of guilt and remorse.

thats all true..optimism does lead to happiness. Although you gotta learn when to control it. I know a Phillipinean gang member who said that "friends come and go" and that "winning a gang fight was more important than losing one friend". He wasn't even upset. That is taking optimism too far. I got jealous when my friend, had no idea that he was doing it, but snatched a girl from me that I was going to ask out. I manage to deal with it and they broke up in 4 days anyway :)

I don't have a job. My parents pbject to it -_- I was thinking of getting a job as a lifeguard over the summer..that pays ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã5 (~$9.50) an hour which isn't bad. Do you have work experience in the US? I'm doing that later this year and it should really help. Just got to find something more intersting than the average work exp

hmm think you should have had enough advice there..anyway I'll just help out (if you manage to read this before). You have to chose a career you enjoy and think that you will never tire of. Personaly, I'm going to college / university and getting a degree first. You have to balance how much you enjoy it and what pay it will give you. If possible, but I doubt you have time, do some work experience and try the two careers out before you make your choice. You can always leave a job early if you want to (unless its a minimum time contract?). Once you have experience in what you enjoy, the choice should come naturaly to you. Well that's a 15 year old's advice

It's perfectly natural to be slightly jealous, but some people get much more jealous than others. I can put myself in that situation and it sounds bad..there's no reason why you shouldn't get jealous. You just have to learn how to not let jealousy overide you. The more jealous and spiteful you get, the more isolated you become. Forget about any jealous feelings and just focus on working harder. That's easier said than done, thats for sure. What else do you do besides acedemics? You are sure to have talent in something. Just find something you are good at and compete against people..you are sure to feel better about yourself as a person and you'll forget whatever spiteful feelings you had in biology. Tell your friend how you feel and maybe he/she will understand and help you to fight the jealousy. Nothing good comes from concealing what you really feel.

Harry potter and the GOF, possible theory*spoiler*
tnuac replied to Lionheart_0's topic in Off-Topic
Harry potter is one of those bookes with one level for the child and a much deeper level for adults. As for the malfroy idea and the muggle / wizard / mudblood etc. divide, it can surely be expressing today's racism. As for the KKK idea, it might have been influenced by that, and its a matter of opinion, but I doubt it. Referrance to and symbolisation of the KKK would probably make the film unsuitable, but its hard to tell. -
thats one of the main problems..criminals will build up in jails until more and more space must be taken up. Something needs to be done to criminals instead of stacking them up like lego. Its true that in some cases capital punishment does not deter the criminals. Its not supported but its a possibilty that crime mates would just be more determined to continue murdering and commiting crime through an act of avengence. Regarding cost, that is for the US. In the UK it might be different but I am not sure about that..
-
damn..I had no idea. Is there any way at all for it to cost less? Thats is amazingly high! Ah yes that's something I thought a long time ago and never posted up. For some criminals, physical exhertion can be much worse than being locked with digital television, and it could really help do something for the country. The only problem is keeping them in watch but that wouldn't be too hard. At one point I thought about producing energy for the country by using some form of exercise. Now I've realised that human activity does not generate that much energy, and this topic aint about energy.

hmm k.. That is a very good point. A murderer should never have the choice of what to do and the victims relatives should decide what happens. Problem is, they may be to upset and it could make loss worse. Expensive? Surely it can't be more expensive than food bills, television bills, and all the other luxuries they get. If religion gets involved, it will get excessively complicated. "eye for an eye" is a very debateable phrase. That is very true. Many murderers feel no remorse for what they did and laugh in the face of the distressed families. A case in the UK happened like that recently. Death and pain might be the best way out for a lot of the people, mainly because it is the worst option for them.
-
Yep, its a serious topic. I recently had an informal debate about it, and I just want to see what people think regarding it. In the debate we reach these points: FOR: - Discourages criminals from commiting murder - Prison cells now have digital television and are far too comftorble - The obvious one, deserve to suffer for what they did - Some murder cases have a 7 year sentance..that is nothing. - Criminals might enjoy the horrible atmosphere in jails and continue to bully - When they criminals come out, they can just murder again Sure I've forgotten some AGAINST: - Could kill innocent people, as can be seen in intensive court cases - Instead of discouraging crimnals, it could make them seek revenge - Why solve murder with murder? You have 2 innocent families in mourning - If you really want criminals to suffer, prison can be a horrible place with bullying and seculdedness from the outside world - Being in a cell gives the criminal time to be choked in guilt Of course those points are cut very short and can easily be expanded on. Without repeating exactly what I said, what is your view on capital punishment? Do you think it should be re-established or are do you strongly oppose the idea? For me, it is hard to say whether it should be brought back. Criminals would suffer in jail and second murder is unjustified, but it would probably cut murder rates down by a lot. Even though it may be immoral, it reduces the risk of break outs and serious revenge-taking, and jail space cannot run out. So please, offer your opinion. Do not start flaming about it..I covered both sides. I just really want to know what people's opinions are.
