  1. Lets not go NPCing without cause... Unless Russia has actually invested a tonne of money, aid or otherwise, in North Korea(as can be backed up by Sere) then I don't see why Russia would say what North Korea would do...
  2. Ross you could ask Sere or Dusty for Tear Gas...
  3. Well you have a choice, you can either let the sanctions though(ie no one can trade with Scandinavia until the UN says so) or you can veto them
  4. If Russia is already involved then it seems unlikely they would allow the sanctions...
  5. Switzerland, as per terms of the Alliance, offers to send Australia 78 Stratos Jets.
  6. Not especially...People who drive taxis and such tend to people very suited to the job... They are unlikely to just upsticks and leave...Also 0.1 Trillion is 100 Billion...As Retech would no doubt point out, thats a 1/3 of my economy.... I think you should just go with the incentive idea and see what happens(Obvouisly the same thing happens since you are in control, but for realism...)
  7. Ico, we just want to make sure that no one else goes 'hmmm I am going to make Robots, and quintumple my economy in a day', not saying you will, but someone might and so we need to make absoutively sure. Anyway, the issue everyone is talking about is that you producing a tonne of jobs is all very well and good, but are they going to have orders, and if so from whom? Unless you plan to spend a tonne of money on something, every year, for the next 100 years, those factories might close down...and then they won't have a job at all.
  8. Ah...so the government is forcing them out of their livelyhood and treating them like serfs....or Communes...I think the Russian people will be slightly unhappy about that. You will also rather annoy all the Mafia and such...
  9. Ico- Not neccessarily...super easy job, something my father or mother or someone might have done...On the opposite side there is a need to retrain and all that stuff...People like you to spell it out for them....Tax Cuts are the government's way to get people to do stuff, without anyone realising... Anyway, if the jobs already exist then wouldn't they have moved already... Meaning you are sort of screwed because no one is doing the jobs no one wants to do...
  10. Ico, don't say 'force out' say 'given an incentive to'...Ie you give everyone who leaves Job A to join Job B a 40% Tax Cut... You lose a bit of money, but then most people have moved jobs, you slim down the Job A market, shrink the tax cut, and done... two years down the line you get everything you want with none of the strife...
  11. New Anti-Stealth Chemical Bombers have been sited off British Coast! (Reads Newspaper Headlines) It has emerged that a Teenage Briton attached a sheep to a bunch of Helium Ballons and let it go. Some hours later the sheep relieved itself over Birmingham, causing a major traffic accident. The sheep's ballons were later shot and the sheep plunged into the Irish Sea. Wildlife activists have been keen to point out that the sheep would have starved to death anyway.
  12. Glad to know people are pretending to know what they are talking about  Exosuits would be worth a few million each...They are high precision bits of kit...and would probably need to be matched to the user...So you are talking about hand made suits, rather than mass produced machines...Also the testing would have to be fairly strenuous...don't want a bridge, that you are holding up, to collapse on you when the servos give out... Then there is retraining, since obvouisly it will be different in a suit than not in a suit. Then there is the gun scaling and all that palva....You are probably looking 2-4 million per suit, in total...for a good suit anyway...for a one size fits all suit which doubles strength you are looking at 100-125k...Course such a suit would be totally ineffective against anything bigger than a tall man, and would offer all the protection of a kevlar vest...So...
  13. Probably for 4-5 hours.
  14. 2/3 hours time, by me...
  15. Talk to Ross, Retech. Talk to Sere, Rules.
  16. Its on the front page... Few Trillion I would say...
  17. Thing is Ross, is that I don't plan to engage enemy troops personally...I plan to be the 'archer' shooting them from the top of my tower while they scurry around outside getting killed. (Since my territorial inclinations extend to Liechtenstine...which is pretty much mine in all but name) Anyway, Abbysina stops sending Legos to Japan and asks Scandinavia for an agreement....Basically that Scandinavia sells to the East of Abyssina, and Abyssina sells to the West of Abyssinia.
  18. Well I want an alliance more than I want the exosuits...Since I am a defensive power it is more useful to me, so I am willing to accept the deal...I have a project to talk to you about though.
  19. Given that lego isn't painted they can knock themselves out.
  20. Abbysina begins building Lego Blocks using Oil-Free Plastic, storming the Green Market in the Federation, as well as parts of Europe and Japan. (Since Mather built the plants...or at least builds them with these 6 months...apparently) King Archarnis, flying out to Melaborne, wonders if the Exosuits will be able to support 200 Kilos of recoil?
  21. Abbysina regretfully informs Japan that they will not be ready to produce massive amounts of toys for some years, but are willing to help supply Japan at a low cost with what can be spared.
  22. Abbysinia has recently been slated by other African nations for developing a new green industry, in the place of the agricultural produce. Though agriculture still plays a major part for the income of Abysinia it seems that the production of light and heavy industry has come out at the top of the five year plan. The aim being at industralising and demilitarising the area. As such the Sallie Doctrine has been announced, pledging aid to any African country that requires it. Bonds between Abbysinia and the Federation grow stronger as deals are reached to export machinary, toys and other general stuff, to the Federation at very low prices, even lower than China. Quality will be a big factor in beating the Chinese Monopoly. Switzerland continues to be opaque to the outside world and reports of what is going on inside the country have grown incredibly sparse. With the exception of Zurich, which has almost become a ghost city, Switzerland is now totally off limits. Zurich itself is heavily policed and anyone found trying to enter the rest of the country will be arrested for acts of Sedition and disappear within the inner workings. One SSR national posted an image on S-Net to describe the situation: Otherwise the mission to Mars has landed and construction of the base camp is underway. Research into terraforming is set to start next year and will not be announced again
  23. Ares- The large being shakes its head, then thinks and says 'Shiny stuffes' Ok then I am gonna call it a night.
  24. Ares- The Large being seems scared of leaving the caves.
  25. Kemios mines some tin.
