Ares- As you look into the mirror you see the reflection of a beautiful girl(or man, want to by gay? Nothing bad will happen, you rolled a 20 so...) who waits patiently for you to speak.

Jen- Well of course. Though you can't see anything you can hear two people exchanging words, clearly one of them is unhappy but eventually sounds resigned. The Cart you are one is slid upwards and the cage slides off the back(unfortunately not breaking, but fortunately not knocking you out either.) "I trust you will keep her nice and safe" says the female voice. "Until burning....Don't show your face for the next three weeks and I will call off the armies. Guards, get the cage." You feel the cage being lifted and the sounds of men complaining about the weight.

Ares finds himself confronted by a mirror.

Umbra- Half an hour of mediation will give you .6 Shadow Magic and .2 Dark magic.

Jen- The guard begins to react and then stops. A female voice says "Been around Witches for a long time us, what with being them and all. You will survive till we get to the Quisitor, then you will be his problem."

Umbra- Just shadow magic?

Ares begins falling into a deeper sleep and begins to dream.

Umbra which skills do you want to focus on?

Umbra, then you might gain something, or you might waste 30 minutes.

If one person has five loaves of bread and five people have no loaves of bread is it right for the one person to be forced to starve so that the other five people can eat? Now consider the inverse, is it right for one person wielding a gun(symbolic of executive power) to force five people to starve so that they can survive? Neither idea is right and, although the numbers are different, both come to the same end...Might is right and screw everyone else because they are not important. Why? The morals of it are 'We, the people, think that mutliating a child would be a good thing to do.' The logic is 'We, the people, would enjoy seeing a child mutilated.' The few are sacrificed in service of the many. Going further it would be possible to assume that the crowd were of the mind set that their own right to enjoyment were superior to the child's right not to feel pain. Similar in many respects to the argument on gay rights...The crowd subscribing to the mindset that it is better that other people suffer than they themselves suffer. (Whilst it is possible to argue that Gay people should fight against oppression of their entire way of life; fighting unfairly against not being allowed to do something which only functions as a status symbol is not really fighting for anything more than enjoyment and the suffering which they, I, feel, is entirely psychological, not physical.) NB: I personally would object because I have a strict code of morals which would be offended by the notion of damaging another human being for any reason. I am talking in general. Traffic laws exist so that one cars do not kill pedestrians. Anti-Trust laws exist to prevent industrialists from exploiting the majority. Anti-Communist laws exist to prevent the 1% of American Communists from growing. The War on Iraq exists to prevent a small country from exploiting rising Oil Prices...or to prevent a small country from deploying Nuclear Weapons. Similarly The UN has sanctions against North Korea because it has Nuclear Weapons and the majority feels that it shouldn't.

Umbra goes back to the tower and meditates. Gaining no insights.

Ares fails to wake up....again.

Jen's magical power is leeched by the cage, producing only a dribble of mildly warm water. Jen starts to feel tired.

Ares fails to wake up.

Umbra- The deer bolts away as you fail to cast.

Umbra-Language.... You find a deer.

Ares manages to fall out of the sky and knock himself unconscience.

Jen, one assumes that you have been mostly disarmed if you were stuck in a cage. Anyway you fail to summon any hot water.

Umbra there is no man, it has been written on a board and stuck in front of your house.

Ares heals himself, but cannot concentrate on flying and light magic at the same time +.1 healing magic.

Umbra arrives in Exile to see his house as a burnt out shell. Someone has scrawled 'Ares for Mayor, out with the murderer!!!'

Jen summons only a small amount of water, the cage seemingly saps her magical prowess.

Ares fails to heal himself

Umbra sees that a fire is breaking out in Exile.

Jen- The bars are not magical and the sword fails to make any significant indentation in the metal.
