Words can speak louder then actions
  1. Don't know exactly why I'm posting this at all. I hardly think that I'll be missed from these forums but it's not all about that. I'm an expat living currently in Dubai which is in the United Arab Emirates (look it up in an atlas, it borders wioth Saudi). I've lived here a year now with my parents and brother and was expected to stay longer but as things do, things come up. I'm not gonna go into that too much but it was something with my dad's work, which was the reason we came here in the first place from Sweden. I've loved it here and have made a bunch of friends and feel I had got a better life here then I ever had in Sweden (mine, and my ancestors homeland). It's not what the stereo-type view on arab countries is at all. It's highly developed and got plenty of room for mre and ppl might have heard of certain projects here like islands being built in the shape of palms and the world. The hardest thing to get used to is that the week starts on Sturday and Thurday and Friday is holiday. Anyway, I've loved it here and would not wish to leave but as things r. :( This isn't the first time I've lived as an expat. When I was 9 we moved to Singapore for 3 years though I didn't enjoy it far as much as this time. It was tough especially since I didn't speak English almost at all when we moved which was the spoken language (sp?) of the private International school I went 2. At least this time I didn't have that problem when I came to Dubai. I came back for a year to Sweden but found it hard to get back in place, especially in my old school. So much changes. After another school year had finished we were off to Dubai and after a year here we r ready to get back to Sweden again (none of this was planned btw, things just come up). I guess my biggest regret now is that I haven't had much contact with my friends in Sweden. I don't know why, I just never did. I just feel...don't know. :( By the time anyone reads this I'll probably be asleep and within 6 hours I'll be off 2 the airport 4 Birmingham (7 hours there, pooh!) - to Sweden. Again Im not sre why im posting this, depression I think. I guess it also is goodbye as this is probably the last post I'll make in a while since the analouge connection we got in Sweden usually isn't too relible. But mostly Id like ppl to post their expat lifes if they have anything to share. C u all in this great community in a while! 8) -~-Loki Spawn-~- PS: I havent been able to say it to too many ppl here in Dubai so to all Swdish ppl: Glad missommar i f̮̦̉̉rsenat efterskott! PPS: Oh ye plz post if u even know me. Actually forget that...
  2. The problem is that 90% of the rest of the world r lazy. They don't want a challenge and want to get as much as they can, from as little as they can. Human nature I guess but in all cases organisations and companies, regardless of their moral polices woll eventually have to go with the majority. I actually think that wat I've written can have some meaning to all points made in this entire thread (though I'm not to sre wat I've written though). I sadly think that the only thing that can be dun is pull the plug after another mass-banning takes place. I like the museum idea though. U could choose to start the game at one of the following lvs: 3 (noob lv) 20 45 60 82 91 Ur remaining skill lvs would be similar to ur combat skills and ur skills could only be trained 3 lvs mre (except 4 the noob that would be able to train his lvs 10 up). When u logged out, ur stauts would be gone unless u logged in again within 10 minutes. How does that sound? Wacky, looney or brilliant :?: Another solution would be to just make RSC p2p. Hey thats my best idea yet! Make rsc p2p!
  3. Check my sig if it helps. All these sound great! Will Null's attack and Harry Potter be f2p though?
  4. a) y do u still play B) y u got so many posts c) sorry if someones already posted about this Some ppl just got different views on who they want to put on their friendslist, I mean wat does it exactly take 4 someone to get onto that list? Someone asks; Do u want to be friends? when walking past them? Someone asks; Do u want to be friends? after u've dun a large or good trade with them? Someone asks; Do u want to be friends? U talk to them a lot when training together to make the whole proccess mre enjoyable? Or is it when u add them 4 clan related purposes or TET members? There r probably a lot of other reasons to add someone but why do U add someone to that list? I add my friends in RL, ppl who helped me as a noob, training partners and ppl on the forums I think r cool. What about you?
  5. We need a "report for noobiness" button and a THWN group... (To Hell With the Noobs)
  6. yellow never seen a green tennis ball my friend says green though so i got rid of the eveidence

  9. Saradoromin wrote this in the 4th god letter 25 oct. 2002: Dear Saradomin, I know there are a good amount of people who might know this question but I thought I might as well ask. I would like to know what the world of runescape was like when it was first created. Nick Petit Ah, a historian I see. Well I almost don't know where to begin. Which is what I said at the time, in fact. But of course it all started with Lumbridge, and the good kingdom of Misthalin. But there was no Al Kharid or Draynor village, and Edgeville was pretty deserted, so people called it Ghost Town. The world back then was a comparatively good place. People didn't tend to wander around Lumbridge calling each other "noob", because everybody was one. Black knights were the toughest monsters, of which there were three. The top equipment you could get was adamantite legs, mithril body, adamantite large helmet, adamantite long sword, and iron kite shield. There were no amulets. Adventurers could, however, sink their teeth into six different quests: the Cook's Assistant, the Restless Ghost, Demon Slayer, Shield of Arrav, Romeo and Juliet and Sheep Shearer. The main skills were combat, ranged, mining and smithing. Cooking consisted only of cooking meat and bread making. Of course, families have always been divided over the issue of vegetables, and this was literally the case now, with many a warrior dropping dead from scurvy. Mourning partners were in time told that there were plenty more fish in the sea, but this was of little consolation, as no-one knew how to fish yet. There was also no crafting, and Lumbridge's traditional Sunday afternoon craft fairs were a bit of a let down as a result. ------------------------------------------------------- And thats all I know!
  10. To make things short: Signed! By the way, how does p2p get them anyway?
  11. Hmmm, the link seems a bit weird and it doesn't work either. What's wrong? Although from what I hear it could be the UAE censor acting up, the site seems like censoring material. If for some reason the link looks okay to u then this is what I c: http://www.Inappropriate.Site/portal/view/178200
  12. At that he pulled out his rabbit-smithed carrot bazookato shoot the monkey, BANG!!! Then the sllimy bogie shot up into orbit around your mommas head who then ate the monkey. Afterr committing-suicide so monkey was buried alive. A ketchup bottle from outer space suddenly plumeted into a sink full-of potatos, killer potatos.A potato ate a king monkey in a volcano full of water and nitro-glycerine. A person comitted suicide and sadly he died much teribaly, but who cares. His uncle had visited beautiful lady, he died because his heart fell of the smart giant lard tub of flaming oblivion. 13. I had once problems with RS music too. It worked for everyone else on my computer but no matter which computer I used my account on, it just wouldn't work. U wanna know why? Because I had forgot to turn it on from the options menu! But if this isnt the case, then check the FAQ.
  14. This is a story that I earlier submitted to Runscape "Tales from the tavern". Jagex didn't seem to like it however (not to mention a few errors in the format that was later corrected and resent). I'm not the best of writers maybe and if you're looking for a huge chronicle of in depthe stories, then go somewhere else. Just tell me what u think yall (ok the main character's name is probably not the best part but I hate all these fancy Heroic names that sound like a bunch of scrambled letters with an "i" in it). And with that, let our story begin... The red wave The gloomy atmosphere that surrounded the torchlight sewers gave any who went through the winding corridors of darkness cold chills down the spine.
