Thanks for the guide :) Wearing vambraces also counts as having gloves on - anything in that field is probably OK I think...

TIRED OF POINTLESSLY RUNNING AFTER NOOBS TO KILL?
Shane72 replied to kaibani's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Why don't you try attacking people of a higher level than you, or at least armed and ready for combat ?? You might find that people don't tend to run away so much if you stop attacking those 20+ levels lower than you, or at least those that are armed and actually looking for a fight. -
Well, it is dangerous. You cant teleport out above level 20, you can get ranged, frozen by magic or by the zbysmal whip, multi-teamed, all number of things. Try hitting the wilderness on a crowded world with no weapons or armour of any kind and see how long you last ??? I'm sure it's frustrating to have people log out just as you're about to land on them, but if they're not in a position to fight, why should they just sit there and let you beat the hell out of them ??? I agree the wilderness should be dangerous, but that doesn't automatically mean that killing other players be easy, now should it ???
-
One thing I'm tired of is how many people complain about how hard it is to kill someone in the Wilderness. Do you expect people to just sit there like a stuffed sack and take a beating ?? (particularly when they're totally unarmed, are mining or on a treasure trail) Chances are you're only going to attack someone if you think you have a better than average chance of beating them. Usually, this seems to involve going after someone who isn't there for combat, and is therefore unable to defend themselves. You want people not to log out when you attack them ?? Here's a suggestion. Hang around level 40 wildy, and attack only those people fully armed and about 20 levels higher than you. Maybe if you go looking for a seroius fight instead of wanting to use other people like a punching bag, you'll get less people logging off before you can attack them. How about it ???

At least half the money you payed for it ?? I can see a lot of people selling each other crap (like balls of wool) for massive prices, getting most of the money back (obviously you'd only do it for trusted friends), then getting killed carrying it and making a lot of money. Say for example though, it was shop value only. You'd still have heaps of people losing party hats and getting upset because they didn't get back the millions they paid for it. I can't see it working. Games like Ultima Online have introduced this and have problems with it, as people NEVER lose their expensive items.

This topic is already being discussed on 'Rants' - I think maybe the original poster just wantd to discuss the idea of fully disposable arrows, which would certainly be one solutionto the problem. On the whole, it's a matter of personal preference. There's no rule against picking up fired arrows, so it just comes down to courtesy. How very true

I can't believe that this topic refuses to die !!!! For as long as I've been reding these forums (only 6 months admittedly) there seems to be a regular whinge about the ever-increasing price of rares. Let me say up front that I don't care about the price of these items, one way or the other. If people want to pay 100 million for something that adds nothing to your stats or abilities, and is totally useless (even a ball of string or a chisel has a purpose), then that is their decision. Good for them. At the same time, if the price dropped to 10gp tomorrow, I wouldn't care. I certainly wouldn't race out and buy one, I have enough stuff cluttering up my bank account as it is without adding to it with something that has no use whatsoever. However, I am getting sick of the constant complaining about the rising price of these items. They are called RARES for a reason. Jagex isn't making any more of them, and as more and more people start playing the game (and those that have been around for a while start generating more and more cash with nothing new to spend it on) then the price of these items is going to keep on rising. It's quite funny when you realise that the only thing pushing the price of these items up is that people still want to buy them !!! Chances are that if you want one, then so do plenty of other people. The only solution for someone upset that they can't afford to buy one ?? Have a good hard think about how truly useless they are as items, and get over it !!!

That is virtually identical to the Ultima Online system. Maybe you should have mentioned the fact in your post, rather than claiming it was 'your idea' ???? And yes, I can see Specialedone picked it up and mentioned it earlier - I'm just reinforcing the fact
-
Bad idea......VERY bad idea. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a wilderness at all, doesn't it ???
-
Excellent idea - you could manufacture stuff, leave it with a 'virtual' merchant, and come back later when it's sol and collect your cash. Would save a lot of mucking about.....

WHAT IS AN EASY WAY TO GET MONEY CAUSE I AM JUST A NOOB
Shane72 replied to lord_steve's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Moron !!! It's people like this that ruin the game.... But really, the best way to make money is get your skills up, or produce a certain item for sale. Have alook on the forums and see who is buying what, or work for a mining company that requires a certina amount of ore for a customer.. -
My Solution to Smithing and Other Problems
Shane72 replied to Adam007's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Sounds good to me. I've just hit 68 smithing, and it's almost not worth the effort of working towards 70. I've got 2 more levels before I can even smelt addy, and another 7 before I can make addy arrow heads. Hardly worth the effort -
Well, why not go all the way ?? Dragon hand-grenades, dragon machine guns, etc ??
