What happened to these forums?
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to swagcake's topic in General Discussion
There isn't anything to be done really. It's not like tip.it forums are dying and nothing else is. Forums are a dying breed full stop. Every fan site, every game, every forum out there is in a similar situation as the world is moving on. The forum as a concept has had its glory day and now social media and reddit are taking the fore. There's no point trying to cling on to it and force it to carry on, you just have to move with the times and realise nothing can last forever and as something birthed is the 90s (mostly) the forum has done quite well as a format. It's outlived Myspace, Bebo, MSN, AOL etc. Yeah, you're right. At the plus side videos on RuneScape are easy to find on YouTube. I'll just stick with that. But still though, I do feel sad about how deserted this place has become. But I will learn to deal with that, it won't be an easy task, but eventually I will. -

I still feel very sad that this place is deserted. I'm not gonna leave RuneScape since I love that game. And the fact that it's one of my favorite games is exactly the reason why the biggest RS community being so deserted saddens me. Is NOTHING we can do to make it lively again? There has to be something we can do. -
Corrupt a Wish (IT's over Nine Thousand)
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to Piscis_Rex's topic in Forum Games
Granted, but one of these people corrupts a wish in a way that's totally irrelevant to the wish the person in the last post was making. I don't find forum games fun anymore, in fact I have grown out of them. But I am making one exception to make a very important wish. I wish this whole message board would become as active as it was in 2002. -

That's it in the near future I am gonna make a video talking about how I don't like how inactive these forums are. Even the general discussions are very deserted. -
This. High alching pouches is a plain bad idea. There are a good amount of pouches that sell for more than they cost to make in the GE and any that don't you turn in at Bogrog which heavily offsets the cost of shards. Essentially if you are making a pouch that requires 100 shards you only have to buy 100 shards per pouch for the first lot. You then get 70 shards per pouch back thus making future pouches only need 30 shards to be bought. Also writing off an entire skill based on it being intentionally a bit of a money sink to train is insane - many familiars are extremely useful thanks to their skill boosting properties, item carrying functions or combat uses. Yeah, you're right with the last paragraph. I am gonna do further research on the skill before I make a video about it.

One of my upcoming RuneScape related videos will be on why I hate the summoning skill. And I wanna make sure everything I say is 100% accurate. Now I did try the summoning skill some time before I left RuneScape, and my distaste for it still stands. The main issue I had with the skill back then is the fact that I had to buy the shards to make the pouches all on my own. And the money I spent buying these is more than the high alchemy value of the pouches. And there was no way I knew of to gather these on my own without having to spend money. Is everything I say accurate? I want to avoid making a video with false information that's why I made this thread.

I still care about RuneScape and I come back here, not to necessarily post, but to read good posts. It is so rare now and I still find that frustrating. Seriously when the hell will people post in the rants and suggestions forum again? -
Very strange question about this forum member
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to mysaxd's topic in Help and Advice
I don't think he's dead. Just because someone is inactive doesn't mean they're dead. He just left the website, and thus never got notifications. Why would you ask for notifications on a site on a subject you don't care about anymore? You wouldn't, obviously. -
Very strange question about this forum member
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to mysaxd's topic in Help and Advice
At the top of what Ammako said, if it's related to RuneScape, do you really think that person would still care? Considering he hasn't been online since 2011 and the thread was made in 2007 I highly doubt it. Also his last post was made in 2008 which means the fact he last logged in in 2011 doesn't mean much. Look I can relate, there are people I used to talk to in the past that I pretty much lost since I don't remember their usernames. And again I hope it's unrelated to RuneScape because the person doesn't care about RuneScape anymore most likely. -
I'm pretty sure I did make a thread like this in the past, but since I don't wanna bump up an ancient thread, I decided to make a new one. Anyway, I think this thread does make for an interesting discussion. Do you think there will EVER be a RuneScape live-action movie? Now the Warcraft movie was very good in my opinion, and it did make more than double its budget in the box office, so I think there is now a good possibility a RuneScape live-action movie can be successful. What do you think? Do you think there ever will be one? I know that would be hard to do since there are trillions of things you can do since Gielnor is a huge open world, but I think it can work.

Ok the fact that the wiki is more useful explains why the site itself isn't as popular as it used to be. But why aren't the forums being used? I don't know about you but I find using forums to have conversations a lot more comfortable than discussing things on sites like Facebook and Twitter, because on those sites your comments are hard to find as they'll likely be buried under a mountain of replies to a facebook status for example. At the top of that it's inconvenient to browse through replies on a site like that. In a forum you can find the posts by looking manually through the page, and they are also easier to find since all discussions are sorted by the topic name and that stuff. I do find it hard to believe that sites like Facebook have somehow replaced forums since like I said forums are more comfortable. -
Hello!
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to Aegis V's topic in Introductions, Farewells, & Forum Account Help
Welcome to this community. Yeah, RuneScape sure is a lot of fun. I started playing in 2004 and became a member in 2005. So I have been playing for a long time. -

Mind fill me in as to why you need to set the graphics to low for FireFox to work? Just for future reference for myself, might someone else encounter the same problem and ask the same question ;). Because that uses less of the computer memory that way. Yeah, the high graphics take so much of the computer memory that it's hard to do anything else while playing. I hope this helps. Do you got a system with less than 4GB of Ram then? I'm not sure, but the version of Windows I have is Windows 7. -

Thanks for the help everyone, but I found the solution on my own. By going to settings and put the graphics to the lowest quality possible, FireFox works fine now. Yeah, I remember now the reason it worked in the past is because of these settings. So I'm marking this thread as answered. -
Ok, so I decided to play RuneScape again after over a year of not playing it. I downloaded the RuneScape client and something horrible has happened. You see I like multitasking, I like playing RuneScape while watching YouTube videos. That's exactly what I have been doing before I left the game in late 2015. But now every time I try to play RuneScape while watching YouTube videos at the same time, my FireFox keeps crashing. There is also a warning about that the graphic cars might be outdated, so I click update drivers, try to download it, and it STILL says that. Is there a solution to this? I want to be able to watch YouTube videos and play the game at the same time. And I don't wanna have to download another browser since FireFox is my favorite browser. This is new, this has never happened to me before I left the game. Before I left in late 2015 I was able to play the game while watching YouTube videos just fine.

Come to think of it I'm noticing a huge lack of posts as well. It is sad how inactive this community has become. I don't use reddit myself, and probably never will. But yeah, the last post in the rants forum and suggestions forum is from over 3 months ago. That is awful, these used to be very active, in fact they were very active before I left in late 2015. -
How many RuneScape originals from 2001 are still here?
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to DragnFly's topic in General Discussion
I haven't been since 2001, but I was still available during the early days of RuneScape. I joined in 2004 and became a member in 2005. -
That's right, I'm back to this fun game, and of course that means I'm also back to the community. There are a few things to note. Nothing I did back in 2015 will happen in 2017. I'm not gonna try excusing or justifying what I did in 2015. But I promise nothing like that is gonna happen again. Because I know what I did wrong, and am gonna make up for it. If you don't know what exactly happened, good let's keep in that way. My blog is dead. I am talking about this one. Why is it dead? Because there was never anything interesting about it. Just logs on monster drops and that's it. What would be the point in keeping a blog that barely anyone reads anyway? I'm not even gonna keep track of the monster drops I get anymore as there is no point. There is no thread showcasing my YouTube videos anymore. The reason for that is because I do many things in my videos that goes against the rules of this community, and I'm not just talking about the swearing. I might link videos sometimes if I need to to show an example of what I'm talking about if I talked about it in any of my videos, but that's about it. I'm gonna keep doing what I've always done in the game. And that is pickpocketing knights and killing monsters. (like red dragons, steel dragons and greater demons) The reason I'm going back to that is because it was fun. I might have gotten bored of it, that's the reason I quit, but I remember now how fun it was so I will do it again. That's basically it. It's good to be back to RuneScape.

How wrong was I about farming?
Blaze The Movie Fan replied to Blaze The Movie Fan's topic in Help and Advice
So I was right to assume the skill is boring in the past? Well, ok then, glad to know that. As for the cape, I couldn't care less about capes in all honesty. But herb runs being easy money is interesting, I will look more into it, thanks for the help. Also even though I might have been right in the past to assume farming is boring, I'm still sticking to giving it a chance. Because my reason for thinking it's boring from what I remember weren't legitimate. I found it boring because I had to wait hours until something I was growing was ready, so I never really gave it a proper chance. I didn't re-watch the video by the way I might have given a different reason in that video, but I somehow doubt it. EDIT: Alright, I just re-watched the video and yeah, my reason for hating the skill isn't legitimate. -
I noticed something, both Mote Plox and munclesonkey haven't posted in months. Oh my god. I hope I can find a good RuneScape YouTuber soon which also does list videos. Their list videos are the types of videos I subscribed to them for. Speaking of which any good RuneScape youtuber who makes list videos who's still active? But I don't use Twitch, but thanks anyway.

In the past I thought farming was boring, and I even explained why in this video. (warning: It contains swearing.) I talk about farming at the 8:13 minute mark. But I am thinking maybe I was wrong about the farming skill, maybe I was missing out by not doing that skill. So I ask again just how wrong was I about farming? I am willing to be open minded and give it a chance when I return. For those of you wondering when I will return, well, I will return as soon as I'm done with the game Pokémon Sun which I'm playing right now.
