Rune is better if you die, but Torags is better for the defence. So it's either be cautious and go with Rune, or get Torags and have a good plan that doesn't involve you dying.

I'd like to see a sequel to Sea Slug. You saved the boy, but what the heck are the sea slugs doing? Why are they controlling the minds of a bunch of dudes? Why are they bringing more sea slugs up? Could it be a plot for world domination?

Although option number one can be negligible at higher levels, think about it in terms of not whether you automatically level up or not but about how many pots you won't have to make and how many ingredients you won't have to find or buy. Also, there IS the bank in Rogue's Den. That has no requirements.

I have an obby shield. I still went for rune.

I take initiate plate and legs, glory, climbing boots, berserker helm, whip, dds, hally, and my rune defender. Kinda considering making myself an unholy symbol to replace my glory for the prayer bonus.

I have two Rune Defenders. I used up about 2.3k tokens to get to the first one. Then another 100 tokens and got my second one. I got my second one while collecting big bones and occasionally I'd get attacked so I'd fight back. I started with 4.6k tokens and currently have around 1k tokens left.

Dogfever is right. Combat isn't very good at making money unless you have good levels and can do something like Barrows or something. And your levels say that you can't. I guess you could do Regicide and get a d hally. Go Dragon Hally some blue drags or black drags. Don't hally them with anything other than a d hally. I've seen it. Other hallies take too long. Oh. And I also forgot to ask, f2p or p2p?

:^o :^o :^o have you ever done the quest? I did it at 69 combat with 59 mage... He hit me once for a 16 then I got into the safe spot and owned him using 9 spells from start to finish. :-s It doesn't sound like he's ever done it. He can't get at you at all once you're in the safespot. And he's amazingly weak to the spells you'll be using. The poison spiders that are there aren't very huge threats to your safety. Just any pkers who may decide to mess you up.

I agree. Take a regular str pot if you're that close to it, and try it out.

It does. But a large part of whether you get defenders or not is luck. A row just helps with the odds.

I say go for it. Get that lvl 85 mining. And omg. Did the forums have this many emoticons before or are they arranged in a new way to look like a lot more?
