  1. 7/10 Brush strokes are nice, and I like how you did the pattern. The text seems weird for it, and it's a little plain. I would suggest using a more solid font, and possibally incorporate a different line of text, a quote or something. The simplicity is nice, but the font gives it a different feel. So, change the font, basically.
  2. 6/10 - Too busy, and puts strain on your eyes because you're trying to view everything going on at once. Yeah :( I blame tip.it for that one (No offense intended). The resizing lowered the quality quite a bit, and made the scan-lines too numerous. But ah, you win some, you lose some. I wasn't sure of the limitation when I made it :P
  3. What Brand of PC are you running? You may be able to perform a non-destructive system recovery. I would only advise doing this if nothing else works, it returns the computer (aside from the user created portions) to factory settings, which USUALLY fixes your problem. If it's an HP, I'm positive you hit F10 when booting up, as soon as you turn on the PC.
  4. 7/10 on your new one. The text is a bit off, Plain, and hard to read, and the the character seems out of place, but other than that it's good. I like how the orange and the white contrast each other, makes it seem like there's some action going on, like a "calm before the storm" situation.
  5. Upgrading's always nice. To me, it sounds like a conflict with Java and Firefox. I can recommend getting a client other than that, such as SwiftSwitch, or Jagex has a runescape client. That sounds like it would help to me.
  6. -sigh- Check the FAQ next time. Upload it to somewhere like http://www.imageshack.us Then Use the code with the URL that the picture is located at in ImageShack.
  7. 6/10 - Lol And No, It's not the same style. Mine's more grunge than his, his seems a little on the abstract side.
  8. 6/10 Nice and all -- but too much going on, your eyes have to scramble to see the smaller details. The text is also difficult to read, which puts some strain on your eyes.
  9. Yeah, 9/10 because of the text... Try a different font, search around on http://www.dafont.com :)
  10. PHP Makes me mad sometimes.. When working with MySQL and PHP, it gets on my nerves. But, nice script for a first one :)
  11. The only thing I can think of, is Jagex is getting a lot of requests.. So, Try to sit an wait, and it should eventually come.
  12. My logitech mouse used to do the same thing, then I got a Micro Optical mouse, and it hasn't done it. I think it's concerning the way the harddrive was made. I thought that the laser wasn't correctly secured, which made it think I was moveing the mouse, when I wasn't.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong but...: The style Jagex uses to display ads, is I-Frame, so they can have the center navigatable, without having to reload the ads. Your problem would have to do with your internet connection speed and the speed at which Runescape can deliver you the information. I think it may be that you try to connect to the runescape site when it's being attacked with requests... I'd say try going to the website at a non-busy time, after 10:00pm EST has always worked for me. And what type of Internet Connection do you have? What time did you try to play? It could be that you have a download running, that's slowing your connection speed.
  14. doesen't auto update.. but: http://www.rsbandb.com
  15. That's a DNS error, it can't point out the name server of the website... So, I'd say that it may be a Browser Hijacker.. Get AdAware (Don't have a link right now...) and scan. Just Google for AdAware, you'll find it.. Lol. If that's not the case, then check your internet encryption/connection settings.
  16. Everyone basically covered what to do, and if you need a great antivirus program, the one I use is Panda Titanium: http://www.pandasoftware.com , goodluck.
  17. Yeah.. I'm almost sure that Satilte internet has a bad ping rate. I'd stick with dialup, if I were you. Satilite is too much money for a slow gameplay enviroment... but, If you're not buying Satilite internet for gaming, then it should be fine for anything else :P edit:Changed a word.. Typed 'low' instead of 'bad'
  18. (It didn't say I couldn't use it, besides, there's people with Cursing in their locations, so what's the difference?)
  19. This is probbably something to do with your RAM. You might have too many programs running with not enough memory... I can't really think of anything else the problem may be. My Compaq used to do that, so, I upgraded the RAM and the problem was no more... If it's the RAM, then try a program like FreeRAM, or get a RAM upgrade.
  20. Maybe the main cord isn't plugged in the PC? My speakers require to be plugged in via USB and the Speaker slot, so, are both plugged if your speakers are like that? Perhaps you have your sound muted, like previously mentioned, and always have updated sound drivers. Also, if your speakers are old, they may have damaged wires, so that may be another reason why. Sorry if I couldn't help.
  21. Nah, he said he couldn't see the world select screen. So, If you're running on a dialup-connection, it will be slow to load, considering the amount of requests that Runescape gets. The page sometimes takes a long time to load for me, also, because I'm on dialup, and I can best access it when the requests are low, around 3:00am in the night, but around the afternoon time, 5:00pm, I can't access the world select screen in a quick time, because my connection is too slow, and Runescape's server speeds are slowing down from all of the requests. Solution: Possibally wait until a time when not a lot of people are playing, and it will load quickly. If you can't do that, then wait it out. Sometime's I've noticed that if I restart my pc it'd work, which probbably has some deal to do with my dialup modem.
