Oh come on.. It just makes news and updates fun to read. And besides, it wouldn't be JaGeX if they didn't have this silly side to them. :P

Hah! So true. A lot of people have a bad opinion of this game... Even so, it seems even the players think the game sucks, but they keep playing anyway. I suspect mind control... :ohnoes:

Oh I don't quit because it takes up too much of my time if that's what you're thinking. Some day I'll wake up and feel sick of the game so I'll completely stop playing. This usually goes on for months until I feel the urge to play again. Then I'll play for months intensively, and then stop again. Endless cycle, it seems.

So I'm not the only one... : I'm suprised that I find this addictive, though. I just can't understand what I like so much about it. I mean, there's lots of MMOs that are supposed to be better and yet I can't quit. Must be like a classic. I still get those urges to play Super Mario Bros. :D

Over my history of playing Runescape - and I've played quite a bit: since it's debut, back when it had two servers - I've quit many, many times. It always goes the same way: I play like crazy for months and one day I just lose interest completely. It just happens. Every time, I think it's the last I'll ever see of this game... Boy, am I wrong. I just can't live without Runescape, it seems. Months after quitting, I still feel like I'll never come back. But whenever I begin having too much free time, (when I'm on vacation usually) I just fork up the 5$ and subscribe again to members. I feel like a drug addict. :XD: For a while I thought I was maybe just needing something time consuming to do when I'm bored, I thought I was only addicted to MMOs. It doesn't seem to be the case though, as I've tried others such as Tales of Pirates and Maplestory... Hell, I even tried World of Warcraft and I didn't even get addicted. Got to about level 22 and stopped playing. So what keeps me playing this game? I dunno. I know that the tip.it forums play a good part now, I just love browsing here while I fish or do other boring stuff. I guess I also like the "examine" option and the not-always-funny Jagex humor - or should I say humour - and the weird quests. Maybe it's beacause it's the first MMO I've played, ever. Back in the day when they were not as common. I'd say Runescape has an indistinct charm to it and I can't get enough for some reason. I'm writing this as I started playing again today. I had quit roughly a year ago and thought of never coming back again ever. I would log in out of boredom some days and I'd just log back out seconds later. So... (sorry, long post, just felt like ranting a bit ^^) Anyone unable to quit or am I the only one? \

What was the 1st thing you did as a noob?? I bought a goblin armour for 100gp from a player... :? Did you beg? Yep. -.- I'm slightly ashamed of that now. If another n00b asks me for free stuff, heads will roll... Did you die? Pretty sure... Probably got killed by a goblin. : Did you get lost like I did? Yeah! Back then I coudn't even find my way from Lumbridge to Varrock without getting lost in the process. Did you work up stats? Stats? What are those? Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to find my way to Varrock.

I do collect random event stuff, but I didn't start until recently so I have about 10 strange fruit... I also collect everything that the sandwich lady gives me! But I got only 2 of each :lol: .

The censor! People will find their way around it anyway... And worst of all... The 1-minute-without-clicking-and-then-you-log-out-because-we-think-you-are-macroing. Everytime I fish for one minute or am having some lag, they log me out! This is way useless.

Gah! And I thought I was unlucky... Maybe nests don't like crackers?

I've been doing a little woodcutting in the past few days. I've always liked getting bird nests once in a while for their pure randomness and the chance of getting a tree seed or an egg.(even if they're useless) I've been lucky and have gotten 2 in 20 minutes 2 days ago, but just then, my luck seems to have crashed. I kept cutting willows and still wouldn't get a bird's nest. I cut 1.3k willows and got bored so I thought I'd do a little construction... Cut 1.1k oaks and only then I got a bird's nest! That was sooo long... and the nest gave me a saphire ring. Also, I got another like 10 minutes later... Emerald ring. I'd just like to know if someone ever had to wait longer than me to get a nest and people's records of the longest time they had to wait... My current record:1.3k Willows and 1.1k Oaks -- 2.4k logs.

I'd start with the Lost City quest. It lets you weild the Dragon Long. Also, you could do some smaller quests that are requirements for bigger ones like Gertrude's cat... But definately do Priest in Peril. Opens up quite a big chunk of the members map. Enjoy members! :D

Err...It doesn't seem to work. I can't open it at all! It says something like "Application error" and a bunch of numbers.I dunno if anyone else is having this problem?
