    On Lies

I'm not talking about cells, or science. This is your life, and it's ending. You have some time on earth, and since the instant you were born, it has been getting smaller. You are dying, every second of your life. What I referred to as a mechanic of life is the death of organisms before they grow old. In nature, anything old and weak will die. Darwinism, simple. Old age only exists because of human society and, like you say, modern medicine. Old age is unnatural, not death, as the culture would have you believe. You are not beautiful. I am not beautiful. We are the same trash as everything else. We're raping mother earth while basking in the glorious Technicolor glow of super conducted semantics.

Just because you can measure it doesn't mean it's real. In fact, I challenge the very idea of numbers. To have two of something, of anything, you must be able to label them as the same thing. Two oranges. Two peaches. However no two things are the same. Each orange is unique. And a peach and an orange...dare I say that I have four fruit? Numbers are a symptom of human inexactitude. Lies in motion. Measure time in seconds and minutes and whatever, but try to show me a second. Can you be here now? No, you are then. And you are going to be. But we are not now. I'm here now. What do you mean? You start dying right after you are born. Living is the same as dying if you think about it. It's all the same process. Erroneous; turtles live hundreds of years, humans are not unique. Old age is not natural, it is simply a mechanic of life that animals are not to grow old and weak. Think about it. Can you challenge Darwinism? Sorry, what big democratic nations?

But has the instinct to mate become a lie because of overpopulation? Bring more people into this world so they can see it and feel it and touch it, but nobody can say anything that hasn't been felt before. The way you talk about beauty it can be quantified. Small faces big eyes the right shape and size makes it right. This isn't real.

    On Lies

Who am I to tell you about lies? A liar. The first lie is that there is truth. Truth is not. Truth does not take place within time but is without presence or substance. Truth is the lack of illumination and thought. Knowledge is bliss, lies build the foundation for thought. The dog asleep and the wallpaper are truth. The nation, the state, these are not built on lies but are the very embodiment of the first lie. Within the community the individual slowly disappears. The labor beyond necessary means to survive is expressed in money and artificial splendor is the result of money. The platinum and gold plated wris[bleep]ch tells time no better or worse than the free McDonald's plastic. The second lie is that you are alive right now. You are dying. When animals get old, in nature, they die. Old age is unnatural. Ancient tribes protected their elders once like precious wisdom stolen from god. Now we don't know what to do with all the decrepit, the old, the [developmentally delayed]ed and disgusting, because we don't know what to do with ourselves. The third lie is motion. Violence, force, reality, time. A clever illusion all in one. How many times today did your ask yourself "Am I dreaming?". Wake up. Somebody is knocking at your door. Open it and accept somebody quite like yourself. They want to ask you, what happened? I used to be happy, I used to go out and do things. Doing and thinking, the same in a healthy man. Happiness is nothingness. Time happens all at once. Do you want to know what went wrong with America? Ask a woman. What is fashion? The fourth lie is beauty. When people are in charge of other people it is always the same. First the followers must believe a lie. Any lie. It could be as simple as "I know better than you what you should do, with yourself." Doing is thinking. All thought requires a solid foundation of lies. Pure action, pure thought, truth. Lie, think, steal. What is sex? A physical activity shared. The value of reproduction is gone, wiped away from our page in history. Our great grandchildren will ask our radioactive ashes why we just kept on reproducing and making babies and laughing at those cute little things they did while we let machines rape the planet all around us. Something cute. I won't ever breed. A War on Terror. Go now and put out a fire with fire, and you shall see a war on terror. Go now and drive down to the gas station, if you want to know why we still fight then. If you do not fight a lie, you become part of it.
  5. The battleaxe is almost as strong as the 2H but it is not nearly as accurate and it's not a huge amount faster, so the 2H is still the best weapon for KOs.
  6. Most people I know have never heard of it so if I talk about it they just say "Oh it's like World of Warcraft". Runescape could be describe as "Run around and kill things". Well, at least the way I play it.
  7. Free to play is a necessary element of Runescape because of the user base of the game, which includes many kids who might not have means to pay for membership or buy membership for a short time then play free to play then switch back etc.... Also Runescape makes a large amount of money on advertisements. Bots don't click ads, though Jagex might record them as a unique visitor viewing the advertisement, thus creating a gap...obviously the business model changes as many people get membership but Jagex can't even keep an advertisement off their news and update pages? What about the level 3 default-clothed bots? These aren't game ruining defects but they are not unreasonably hard problems to solve.. Jagex make millions but Runescape is still treated as Andrews college hobby in some ways, it seems. Bots aren't really ruining Free to play, and the gameplay is solid for a free experience. It seems the updates to shops and such (ironically in keeping with the world governments bailing out of the financial markets... ) has balanced the economy. There isn't anything truly wrong with Runescape, it could be better and it could be much worse. + We need Runescape Classic back. Seriously, how much money does it cost to run a couple MUD servers? Making the source public would be an even better move. Yeah, I could deobfuscate it myself, but I can't. I'm lazy. Who cares, I'm mediocre. Pshh, Iraq was planned perfectly. The invading forces operate from fortified bases while pumping the oil out of the country as fast as possible while pitting the locals against eachother in a bloody religious conflict that has been fermented by years of clandestine cold-war operations. Greenspan who was Chairman of the Federal Reserve for decades, a leading position in the highest echelon of the US government, has asserted that the Iraq War is all about oil. It was planned brillianty. Well there is no alternative provider of Runescape, just Jagex. However I agree that Runescape should be objectively examined regardless of previous knowledge on programming. It would appear as if Jagex is not doing all in its power to fix certain flaws yet if Jagex has the ability and chooses through meta decision making that it is better to leave some things alone I would not be surprised and this would be an example of forward thinking. It is only the deed performed in obscurity that brings true merit

    Why do we Fight?

The congress voted to "Authorize force" in Iraq. Are you telling me they were all completely fooled by the weapons of mass destruction line or the spurious connections to 9/11? Not likely. It's not all about Bush, man. He isn't a dictator who can just make stuff up and everybody will go along with it.

Sumpta13, I know this isn't the best place to have this debate, but I just want to throw some opinions out there for people who are my age who might not otherwise be exposed to them. You have an interesting point of view on the reasons behind what Bush does, though I wouldn't agree that he actually makes many important decisions, but I can suspend my opinion that he is just a figurehead for a minute. I agree that there are many internal social issues in the US that are unsolvable under the current government. Some of these are connected to the failed US economic policy in the Middle East directly, some indirectly. For example poverty in the US is is somewhat connected to the increasing role of the service industry and its replacement of the manufacturing and agricultural industries as the main source of income for Americans. The fiat currency of the US made possible by OPEC allows the system of debt that sponsors the warfare/welfare state and allows outsourcing and hence less jobs in manufacturing and agriculture. What policy Americans think is the most important one, incidentally, doesn't matter much. There is alot of "Voter fraud investigation" going on by Republicans. That means voter "Caging". Basically, disenfranchising voters. http://www.gregpalast.com/greg-palast-i ... #more-1740 That is what is really going on with the US attorney scandal, but nobody wants to talk about it. American public opinion doesn't matter so much, as long as people aren't in the streets rioting. You are wrong if you think Americans are being convinced to agree with the administrations policy, 9/11 simply made people apathetic. People get bored of waving the flag, rather quickly, but they still get a little rush when they see it around everywhere. They may forget that 9/11 and Iraq are not connected and it is purely economic policy why we are there, but on some deeper level they still feel it. It is quite pathetic really, my people, everyone, they are just flag-suckers. Iraq was invaded because Saddam tried to get Euros for his oil instead of dollars. Iran is trying, right now, and they might be next.

    Why do we Fight?

You can't blame huge geopolitical events on individuals. To make such reductions is simply childish. There are huge intangible forces in this world, economic shifts and political maneuvers. George Bush may or may not be an idiot, the reasons behind the war in Iraq have little to do with his intelligence. He is not a dictator who makes decisions by himself nor is he the arbiter of what the executive branch of the US government actually does.

    Why do we Fight?

If I believed in the bible, sworddude, I would probably say something complicated and meaningless about free will right now, but I don't. I would very much like for this thread to stay on topic, I didn't mean to start a debate with the topic title, just make it catchy.

    Why do we Fight?

Sworddude, I would agree with the statement that the war is over oil. Another way of saying it would be that the war is to ensure that most oil is sold for US dollars instead of Euros. Hence the timing of the war relative to the Euro's emergence/Saddam selling his oil for Euros. This connects with the friction that is going on between the US and Iran, another oil producing state which is heading toward selling their oil for Euros instead of the standard US dollars. We fight because we are the most good creatures on this planet, as well as being the most evil. Without hate, is there love? Sumpta, your bullet points intrigue and confuse me. What internal issues is George Bush managing to evade by invading Iraq and what makes you think that an individual is behind the policies of the US? Obviously the war in Iraq keeps the fiat currency of the US propped up if that is what you mean, but if so you are merely agreeing with my position. Your vagaries leave me no other choice to assume you are, however. To the second point, how is 9/11 connected with Iraq? And other than causing a change in US public opinion how is a post 9/11 world significantly different? Iraq selling their oil for euros instead of dollars had alot more to do with why the war with Iraq began than 9/11. Also to address the third point, define the "Long economical war" with the middle east. Perhaps you are speaking of the post-Bretton Woods agreement with OPEC to price oil in US dollars, changing the dollar from the gold standard to black gold? Finally, you can't just say "The long political history of the..." etc.. You are merely telling me what you should be talking about and points you should be raising, without making the effort. If you don't have anything to say, say nothing. It's sad, especially when you have almost talked about important things, such as Russias war in Afghanistan and Israels role in Middle Eastern politics. But if you are merely bringing up talking points without stating an opinion or actually expressing any independent thought whatsover, I'm not going to debate myself for your benifit.
  13. Why is there a war in Iraq? Give me your opinion if you like. I believe there is a war in Iraq because of dollar hegemony. Here is a relatively complete outline of the economic situation. 14. Not too surprising really, it's been going on since Reagen's "Star Wars" program. It's too bad that the Chinese can shoot down our satellites and have a massive advantage of us in every way militarily (read the Art of War by Sun Tzu for more info). In 2007 the US government will end up spending over a trillion dollars for "Defense", though the US military is geared so heavily toward fighting third world nations (bunker busters, heavy tanks, etc...) that it doesn't stand a chance against China (EMPs, divisions of hackers, etc...)
  15. There is alot of evil in the world and alot of beauty and good as well, but nothing is absolute. The good cannot exist unless there is some evil to compare it to. How can you ever feel warm and relaxed and comfortable if you are not first cold wet and uncomfortable in life first? All you can do is try to enjoy this one moment of life as much as possible, to be here now and appreciate it as much as you can. He who increases his wealth increases his cares and a content heart is a hidden treasure.
