  1. Want to know where I used my cannon for some crazy experience? In the wilderness. No joke. Go to level 30-40 something wilderness. Set it up in the middle of the poison spiders. Just wear good armor defence wise and be cautious of any pker that comes through. You probably won't see one though. Who pks in an area surrounded by poison spiders? :D
  2. Meh. I say Jagex just finds the item values of rare items, doubles them, and then auto-exchanges the money for the rare item. This of course would happen to every player at the same time during a system update. It would destroy rare items in a fair manner. I suppose in the place of party hats Jagex could create sick lvl 80 and 90 weapons that cost like 5-25 mill for lvl 80 and certain lvl 90 weapons that would cost 50-250 mill. I don't know. We aren't Jagex so we can't do anything. Darn!
  3. I can't get on so could someone please give me a picture of the room placement? Could you have your house in the shape of a line? XXXXXXXXX Or does it have to be a square? XXX XXX XXX Why is everyones garden in the middle?
  4. It is interesting. It offers players with less money the ability to own a small house with a few special abilities. Just because you don't have all of the best things in your home doesn't mean that it isn't useful. Few unlimted ingrediants plz?
  5. I've heard this so many times. Thankfully it never happened to me. Although, I have high-alched my dragon halberd and two glory amulets.
  6. Kk, good ideas guys. I suppose that unless Jagex creates clan buildings that we should just create a list of freindly tip.iters who have created excellent places to hang out?
  7. The Search for a place to Hangout I was just thinking about the possibilities that have been given to Runescape players. I figure that it would be a great way to show wealth and a great place for clans to hang out. So...why should Tip.it have to suffer? :? I say that when prices on construction materials have gone done a trustworthy and loyal member of tip.it should bless us fellow brothers with an unmatched gift. So...what is this crazy person trying to say? :) I propose that after things have calmed down that we shoulc hold yet another fundraiser to donate a massive amount of money to a player whom we all hold to high respect. This player should have a high enough construction level so that they could construct most objects in the hangout spot. Of course, since this player would be so kind as to let his own home be dominated by tip.it users he would have to follow suggestions that we have for the house. The money from the fundraiser would go to the recontruction of the players home so that the hangout spot could be used for tip.it users to enjoy. This does not mean the money will be spent so expensive items such as the demonic throne could be added to the house. :P No...it means that the most fun rooms for a group would be added. This is just a suggestion from one brother to another. If plans go underway to construct this hangout club for this community I plan to personally donate what little money I have left on my account. Roughly 2 million gold. Don't be a hater...support the cause.
  8. Pros: Dungeon sprawling fun, symbol of wealth, fun to build, unlimited cooking ingrediants, selling of new spells, new armors, barrows repairs, various item repairs, private dueling ring, clan hangout, free teleports from the teleport room, raising skill total, something different, fun. Cons: Too expensive to buy anything. Case in point. Too expensive for 90% of Runescape players. ___________________________ On a different note. Don't treat Runescape as a chore...don't do it ever. It's a sign that your an addict, and while it may be fun for you it's a serious mental condition if it becomes large. Doing drugs may be fun but eventually it takes over your life and you wonder what happened. Any mmoarpg is like that unless you learn to controll it. For people who say Mmo's don't make you stupider...like drugs do.
  9. King Black Dragon Slaying Guide The format for this guide is based off oddfaery's guide to the dag kings. *Edit* The guide was salvaged and is now up and running. To Make navigation easier I have divided the guide into sections. Section 1: Introduction + What is the KBD? Section 2: History of the King Black Dragon. Section 3: Suggested inventory and equipment. Section 4: Getting to the Lair. Section 5: Killing the King Black Dragon. Section 6: Tips and tricks for longer trips. Section 7: Player owned houses addition. Section 8: Closings _______________________________________ Section 1: Introduction + What is the KBD? The King Black Dragon (KBD) is one of the strongest monsters in Runescape. Since the release of many more powerful creatures he has been neglected. However, you can still find plenty of people to come with you, in hopes of getting a dragon medium helm or half shield. The king black dragon is a large three headed dragon located beneath the lava maze in level 42 wilderness. Fought improperly he can lead you to a fast trip to lumbridge or Falador. _______________________________________ Section 2: History of the King Black Dragon. 24 September 2002 King Black Dragon (Members' monster) The most fearsome monster ever to venture into Runescape has now... err... ventured into Runescape. 26 April 2005 All things move with the times. The fearsome King Black Dragon, in particular, has developed some slightly different attack styles. He's had his cave enlarged, too. Why not make a journey to his lair, deep in the Wilderness, to see for yourself...? Adventurers are warned that the King Black Dragon may give you a warm welcome, (extremely warm in fact...) so don't forget your anti-dragonbreath shield! _______________________________________ Section 3: Suggested inventory and equipment. When fighting the King Black Dragon magic is ineffective and range requires the use of two hands to wield a bow, so melee is recomended. Melee should wear their best armor, preferably rune or better. Good choices for melee weapons include: Dragon longsword, dragon dagger(s), Dragon Scimitar, and the Abbyssal Whip. Any weapon that is relatively fast with a good slashing attack will do well. This includes the Obsidian knife. The dragon dagger will deal high damage with it's special attack and the poison builds up. Because of it's accuracy you'll want it as a back-up weapon. The dragon longsword and dragon scimitar are also good choices due to their accuracy. If you can, bring an abbysal whip. Rangers should wear their best dragonhide armor with a magic shortbow w/mith arrows or better. They can also use the crystal bow, Karils crossbow, rune knives, or rune darts. One handed weapons such as darts and knives will allow you to wear an anti-dragonfire shield, unfortunatly these weapons are inaccurate. If you don't seem to be getting many of the drops you can switch to a bow. As always, crystal bow and Karil's crossbow are better choices than the magic shortbow. Players that are not weilding an anti-fire shield MUST bring anti-fire pots to stand a chance. Below is the suggested inventory for melee and range fighters. Certain potions can be substituted for food, like prayer pots aren't needed if you plan to recharge prayer at the chaos alter(See section 6) Also, lobsters or swordfish can be substituted for sharks. _______________________________________ Section 4: Getting to the Lair. The King Black Dragon's Lair is located in level 42 wilderness beneath the Lava Maze. To reach it head north-west of Edgeville. Try to avoid popular pk'ing spots like the Chared Arena in lvl 13 wilderness and the dark wizard just north of Edgeville in lvl 6 wilderness. You can also reach the lava maze by heading south-west of the Ardougne teleport lever. Be careful as pk'ers often hide among the demonic ruins, Ardougne teleport arena, and the mage arena bank. Another poupular route takes you through the ice plateau. When you reach the Lava Maze head to the west side and enter a cage with four lvl 82 lesser demons. Drink your stat buffering potions and anti-fire potions just before continuing. Climb down the ladder to enter a small room with five lvl 64 poison spiders. On the southern wall is a lever that teleports you into the lair of the fiercesome King Black Dragon. _______________________________________ Section 5: Killing the King Black Dragon. *Note: The King Black Dragon's lair is non-wild. As you teleport into the cavern warriors who have anti-fire shields turn on protect from melee and fight him. Everyone else should turn on protect from magic. Run up to the King Black Dragon and attack him. Surround him so he wastes much of his time by spinning around to attack people. Mages, (which are extremely ineffective) should stand with the warriors in close range. Rangers should stand at a distance so they cannot be damaged by melee attacks. As for poison...you really should bring anti-poison potions. Even if they're normal ones. That way you don't take any unnecessary damage while your waiting for him to respawn. Here is a picture of the King Black Dragon hitting extremely high. This is why people without anti-fire shields must be very careful of their health points. If you drink an anti-fire potion and use protect from magic you can knock his max hit down to around 25. The King Black Dragon has three dragonbreath attacks. The first is a suped up dragonbreath attack that can hit foe at a distance. This blast can hit in the mid 60's and occasionally lowers your combat stats. The second is a poison blast which deals damage to the foe and poisons them. The poison hits up to 8. The third is an icy blast that freezes the foe in place for a few (5) seconds and may lower your combat stats. With an anti-fire shield the spells max out at 25. Keep your hp high and make sure your prayer does not run out. When the massive dragon has been slain the player who dealt the most damage collects the drop. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=219 At this point, you should decide if you will stay or teleport out of the lair. Most people choose to teleport to Edgeville using a glory amulet. If you want to test you skills you can wait for the King Black Dragon to respawn. _______________________________________ Section 6: Tips and tricks for longer trips. If you want to recharge your prayer you can leave the lair and walk to the nearby chaos alter. Be careful as the area around the alter is multi-combat and is a known pk'ing spot. Also if you wear an anti-fire shield and drink an anti-fire potion only his melee attacks, ice blast, and poison blast can damage you. This also severely weakens his long range attacks. If you choose to go melee, and he starts continuously pounding you with high damage and you can't heal fast enough to survive...Walk underneath him so he has to reposition himself to attack you. This gives you time to drink potions and heal. Anti-dragon fire potions last around 6min. Make sure you keep track of time if you don't have an anti-dragonfire shield, so you don't get hit for a 50 when you least expect it. _______________________________________ Section 7: Player owned houses addition. With the release of player owned houses and the skill construction players have the ability to mount the head of the fierce King Black Dragon on the wall of their skill hall. The stuffed head can apparently be spoken to. To create the mounted KBD head requires two Mahogany planks, the stuffed head of the King Black Dragon, and two gold leafs. The stuffed head can be obtained by giving the head of the KBD to the taxidermist who is located in Canifis. It costs 50,000 gold to stuff the head and requires a construction level of 78 to mount on the wall. You gain 1103 construction experience and 200 Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged, and Magic experience for each head you mount. _______________________________________ Closings I guess I covered everything about the King Black Dragon. If you have any suggestions please post them here. Special thanks to Protector198 and Casey Dog0 for helping me gather pictures for the guide.
  10. Yeah...real fun. Work yourself to the point where death by boredom is likely by cutting like 10,000 yew trees. Fishing 1,000 sharks. Killing the Kalphite Queen 250+ times. It's too expensive to be enjoyable. Whilst I played Runescape I accumulated a maximum capital of around 14-20 mill. If I sold everything I had and kept the dragon chain all to myself...forget buying a demonic throne (24 mill) or a steel dragon (10 mill) I wouldn't have enough money to even get myself past 60 construction in all likeliness. That's my two cents.
  11. At least you have a friend. :D
  12. I guess this is it. The final version of the King Black Dragon slaying guide by Kaeporo. I'm so glad that it was stickied. Thank you to everyone who helped me in making this guide. Thank you to all of my tip.it friends whom I made in the period of time I was here. I've quit for almost two months now so I could get xbox live for my 360. Things are good, life is great...i'll always remember the times I had on Runescape. (unless I get Alzheimer's...that would blow) Cya Satenza...keep the fight pits clean, will you? ____________________________________ Now then...as for the management of the guide I leave it up to you, as the user's of this website to improve upon this guide when i'm gone. I guess Leesters could do his mod thing or something. You can figure it out...I hold no grudges or copyright anything. The guide is up for grabs.
  13. No drops...there is a 100% chance when you kill stuff that it won't drop anything.
  14. For a variety of levels...yeah right... Now then, let us see...the steel dragon costs 10 million gold? Oh, yeah...and the Demonic Throne costs 23 million gold. Freakin expensive...
  15. Want to know how I kill it? It costs nothing and is fairly effective for a higher level like myself. Set the respawn point to Falador. Wield the mining helmet and a dragon dagger (s) You should have a spade in your inventory. Fight the mole. Use all 4 dd(s) specials then hide behind a rock for him to die. Use prayer when you fight the mole to keep from taking damage. WHen your prayer is almost depleted leave the cave and bank at falador. Store your mole stuffs and enter the cave and have him kill you. When you respawn rince and repeat.
  16. Getting drunk and falling off your chair :D
  17. I "quit" around a month ago. I plan to still go on every month or so to check out new updates or to tell a freind at my school something. wii60 Ftw!
  18. you played for 45 hours total? and now has 20-30mill things HARD TO BELIEVE Err, actually...I meant 45 hours a week. Sorry if I confused you... Oh, and I have a nice trailer of Final Fantasy XIII for anyone that's interested. I plan on getting it Cause it's whicked sweet. Here's the link. It pwns. http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/826/826843/vids_1.html
  19. If I could be any NPC in Runescape, it would be "Stanford" (Good luck finding him...) If I could be any monster in Runescape it would have to be a shadow from the temple of light.
  20. Actually, I quit Runescape...2 weeks ago. I didn't tell anyone on Runescape or tips but I still have. I'm not going out with a "bang" I'm not giving away my 20-30 odd million gold worth of stuff. Not selling my account. Not changing my passward to binary and forgetting it. 45 hours of gameplay might hurt your social life, but it sure didn't kill mine. If anything, it stablized it. I quit two weeks ago so I could make room for bigger and better games. So, I might start back up (unlikely) but I will probably still browse tips...good luck all. Hope you too find peace in death.
  21. Oooh, a vid from Trojan...good stuff. Autoers will be around forever. Although a few hackers use autoing it is getting too difficult to keep up with Jagex. The major autoers are companies in third world nations. I mean, some of these companies set up sweat shops where all their employees do is search for a way to by pass another obstacle that jagex has set up. It's sickening bt it's these peoples only way to survive.
  22. One word...hide. Run away and change your name and live the rest of your days in paranoia. Hopefully MJ didn't make this... Seriously though, theres some pretty weird people out there. Hey, at least no freaks have started making fansites about Leesters. He's even got his own fansite! Kill the bloodveld FTW!!!1
  23. Once upon a time, they released a little icon onto the skills list called carpentry...
