  1. Is this true? surely 'short fuse' should imply a faster rate. Anyway, nice guide Misnomers abound.
  2. It is not possible to be complete sure on an estimate so expecting to be so is an inevitably futile endeavour. How many you need depends on lots of factors such as your current level, how you chin and what you wear, but I would estimate around 25K. You get 1 HP xp per 3 Ranged xp, so it is not hard to figure out that calculation at all.
  3. Obviously the higher the prayer level, the better. If for some abstruse reason you cannot get your prayer level above that figure, you can still chin provided you are willing to fork out the additional expenses and make more frequent banking trips. I can't say whether or not I would recommend it, although I would certainly recommend getting your prayer up. I'm quite sure 30M will be enough using greys, although considering how many more prayer potions you need the answer may well be negative. No problem :)
  4. You might end up getting 1K more xp per hour. And you never know if you will die; all it takes is a lapse of concentration.
  5. 1. Even if there are 8 dots (as is usually the case) there can still be 9 or more monsters, because monsters can stand on the same spot as others. The point of picking up bones and having as many "dots" as possible is that the skeletons are spread as far apart as possible, so that they will continuously respawn. 2. Chinning is dangerous, hence the ring of life.
  6. 1. Good point, I shall fix that. 2. Armadyl wouldn't be too much worse I would think. You would get perhaps 10% less xp per chin, although you would last longer due to the prayer bonuses. Void is still better though.
  7. Depends on your prayer level of course. Don't have the exact formula but I'm sure you could find one. Almost all the cost comes from prayer potions. Again, this depends on your prayer level, and I don't have the formula for how much you will use. This is a large approximation: about 55K.
  8. Alright thanks for the help. I am using both routes for the trekking. After a few more hours I ended up with 2 boots and 1 legs. Taking a break for now before I attempt for the top. From what I heard, the top is the rarest, although the official stance is otherwise.
  9. I don't really care about xp and/or ranks; just training wc (and cooking previously) because they are easy for me to multitask. Teaks at Karamja, cutting and dropping. Too busy to make a blog sorry.
  10. I have gotten 5 lumberjack events in about 3 hours taking the strongest person on the blue route. However, all I have gotten is 5 lumberjack hats. Am I just being unlucky or am I doing something wrong? Coincidentally perhaps, the only tomes I am getting are fishing tomes.
  11. Get a row of 200M skills (ranging, thieving, cooking). Going for woodcutting next although I will probably never get there.
  12. Unfortunately I have never ranged on a slayer assignment before, although I have used the cannon on many occasions. I am sure you can find a ranged slayer guide on this forum though. And no, you do not get fireworks for 200M xp.
  13. I haven't tried mummies but from what I have heard it is not comparable to monkey skeletons. They charm drops aren't impressive at all, and even if you get 2 good drops per hour that is only about 100K. The greater xp you get from monkey skeletons probably greatly overrides this figure. Time is money, and the time saved by chinning monkey skeletons renders it by far the most efficient chinning method.
  14. As has already been answered, Nechs are the best to chin if you want charms. However, it is probably more efficient to chin skeletons AND obtain charms from waterfiends rather than to chin for charms. Monkey guards aren't better because they aren't undead and so salve does not work. Thanks for those kind comments. I have never taken an IQ test but I'd like to think it's above average :)
  15. I am going to get full lumberjack soon so I would appreciate if people who have obtained the set share their strategies for how they did so. I have heard differing accounts of which people/route to take as well as which piece is rarer (or if they are all the same). Also, how long does it generally take to obtain the full set? Thanks.
  16. I remember being told told those two points about the greataxe some time ago. However, I cannot find where I state that the greataxe cannot train defence or is battleaxe speed anywhere in the guide. I think the person was asking if Salve can be used for ranging. In which case, the answer is no, since the amulet only helps with melee. Also, if you are using Dharok's, you can't use void, so I am not sure why you are talking about it. Thanks for the corrections though.
  17. Thought I had those points covered, I shall get to them. Yes, I do mean more cons than pros. And yes, I added the 'a' by mistake, thanks for point that out. It is observant readers like you that weed out the subtler incorrectnesses.
  18. I think I addressed this somewhere in the previous posts. Anyway, I tried it and found it to be too much of a hassle to be worth using. NP :) Indeed, due to the high prayer usage of this method, a high prayer level is certainly highly recommended. Just to add to that, bursting/barraging the skeletons isn't quite as effective as one would expect it to be, mainly because the freezing tends to mess up the natural bone distribution. If you are really intent on training magic via these ancient spells, I suggest rock lobsters instead.
  19. ~20h, and all my playing time goes to training skills.
  20. Just getting 200M cooking done at the moment, not sure about after that. That would take far too long; I'd be amazed if I even ever get 1.2B. I am probably one of the poorest maxed players. Sorry, just had to point out the spelling error.
  21. Took a while to obtain the final 100M due to other commitments but it's nice to see another digit for XP
  22. No, it is 24 hours after you first started assigning workers to tasks. Also, what do you mean by "as well"? Battlestaffs do not, as I said, reset at 0:00.
  23. There is no standard restock time; they restock about 24 hours after the last time you bought them (a few minutes before 24 hours actually, I think).
