How about there be a castle that you don't pay to enter. It emulates that of the Dark Knights castle but only its much larger in comparison, has more levels than just 2 or 3, and has respawns of law, nature, and chaos runes. While also the place may contain an uncut saphire-emerald-ruby in the occaisional box you search, or tressure chest you open. The wildy level is for all people(s) to fight one another, only certain areas of the castle may contain multicombat; such as a narrow hallway, a basement downstairs, the upper levels of the castle. The place is un tele-able, and prayer IS permited. Disbanding prayer is a stupid idea.. There will be monsters inside this castle, they will be anywhere from 10-45 in level. Only one monster is in here that is higher than that which is level 85. It could be called a 'Serpent' similar to a dragon, or a 'Griffin' The creature drops rune chains, and or rune hatchets on rare drops. They would be a ideal place for free world to go and train at, but also for people to kill others.

why not..eliminate shades robes entirely.

Another thought... possible a very stupid one(someone-elses)
Ishbar replied to archimage_a's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Unlike Carpentry though; music is not useful. ( In Runescape' that is ) I quite frankly <3 music. The point is: Carpentry is a versatile trade, now i'm not trying to knock anyone here. I don't see how you could of interpreted that. I was simply stating that Carpentry can be beneficial to all trades for the most part. =\ -

I personally am in Carpentry. It's my trade for the Technical High School I go to. I'd be interested to see what Jagex may want to do with the skill Carpentry. I know you've heard it a thousand times before, but Jagex should make THIS skill F2P Based and P2P based. Why? Carpentry can be a very usefull skill for crafting, fishing, smithing, and much more. Take in example. You could make hammer, with a new chisle head option for smithing. The chisle head if its i.e: Rune. Could perhaps make when you go to smith a Steel Plate, it give more xp. It's a better tool, and harder to use. It'd be a major bummer to all those level three's who rely upon their level three power smithers. Or for fishing. You could create yourself planks, and the pieces from the bow, skeleton, and stern of the boat. Then use crafting to put them together. The boats can be used as if walking only on water, to designated Fishing spot, just like on docks but only in the ocean. Using crafting you can put the boat pieces together, the higher the crafting the bigger the boat and it's storage capacity for fish. Lets say you have a small row boat. It hold a capacity of 15 fish, not including all your inventory can hold. Then lets say you build a Caravan Boat/Merchant Boat. Inventory of 30 fish. It'd be a cute little addition. It's just a skill with MANY possibilitys that Jagex should REALLY tap into. Ps. I have no problem with people posting this idea on boards if they like it. Just give me some credit. I'm not an Rs Member, so if anyone thinks it has a unique flare and might interest Jagex as it has me and many of my peers then go ahead. :) -
I'd go for that. Rs3 is going to be out in 2008. Trust me on this, and it will be a game like Guild Wars. You are required to purchase the game from the store. Keep in mind it's just a theory. I wouldn't mind everything started from 0. It'd be nice, everything would be crisp. No being the lower man, but equal. Of course as well all know Zezima will commit suicide now that Rs reset.

Expanding the land is going to happen. You just have to give it time. With new land comes new quests, new monsters, new dungeons, and new problems. It takes a while for Jagex to do that. Obviously they arn't going to leave the world as it is. I mean, honestly. LOOK at the map, its like Tetris gone wrong.
-
Yeah, I suggested that already. Under my post titled Enviroment Additions in this section somewhere.. Snow would be a cute addition. Then you could go Ice fishing. :). Even if some people say "well whatabout the countries that has winter in summer" Well..what about YOU LIVE IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE AND YOU NEVER GET SNOW. teehee..

I think the idea would be good. For one it'd make some of the slower players fall in line and actually find a deeper meaning to Runescape than the slogan "Money Plz" The other percentage of idiots would fall out. That isn't some entirely bad though. The shifts would actually give significance to being a Merchant, instead of going by the simplicity of heckling Global prices of items up. The banks could have an addition to it, or another room you go to where an Acountant gives you the up to date prices of Currency and whatever shifts are happening right now. It'd let people actually keep alert, and have to work to the corresponding value of the economic dollar.
-
But simplicity was lost from the transition of RsC to Rs2.
-
it'd be nice to have day and night, it'd add twists. I <3 twists.
-
I'd prefer there to be 3 hours of darkness, 3 hours of day time. That would leave a nice big piece of time for people for both quests, and just regular playing.

Untradeable Leveling Holiday Drops - Should they be next???
Ishbar replied to Atroso's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
They need to make it so that drops correlate with the time that they are done at. They really arn't considered "drops" anymore either, see Jagex should do something creative, something that is tradeable, yes merchants may get rich off of it, but its the economys fault for giving into their outrageous prices. Like in example, a Santa outfit durring Christmas, you can get Santa boots, coat, or pants, they are all tradeable. Now, only players who are rich enough to have a Santa could have a true Full santa set, now it could only be for show, it'd just be nice to see more costumes out there, then again they could have the items non tradeable and rather you have to do something similar to Tressure trails, but like a mini holiday quest, where you can choose ONE piece of Santa's attire. And have the other two pieces be some kind of random event durring christmas season, kind of like frogs, you get to chose what you want. -
The Ps2 had a 500 Mhz Processor while the Xbox ran 700 mhz. Ps3 and its Cell technology forced it to call back any production and push their release date to 2007.. Ps3 will die from Xbox 360. Nintendo Revolution is already dead. They just haven't made their Tombstone yet.

Its the RS players job to read updates if they've missed them, I know if i Havent played for a while I go and have a look at what I missed out on, its common sense..
-
Oh yes! and then a spell called auto steal where you can rob people from their banks, and then Jagex gives out free Phats and RS mils, and candy too! Yeah what about that!

Well your looking at it like the world is going to end. Noobs freak out when a random event happens while they're minning, or a level 78 walks through lumby. So I HIGHLY doubt Fog or anything else for that Matter will be difficult to deal with. Now Tutorial island wouldn't have to be a WHOLE NEW one, just add a slight piece to it explaining wheather, thats all the NPC needs to do. Maybe give a quick example in a tiny spot of the addition, and then your on your way. It's nothing that extreme like needing to program an entire new place, and slowly introduce updates to noobs. One giant update is just fine. If you don't read the front page thats your own fault.

Another possible stupid idea by me. Though I can't see how
Ishbar replied to archimage_a's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Then maybe people could just use this button called Search instead..cause that would work just the same. ;) -
I kind of didn't like this idea after three or four posts. I realized that there was many flaws in my idea and I will take the flames as they come for my stupidity. At least i've had better than this. Though if all this is turning to is an all out flame war I can only ask that this topic be locked.

I think the fog was thought out, I mean you have to acomidate for random events while mining, woodcutting, or practicly anything down to walking, so something like fog would be another creative touch. Its not like your going to spaz out and die. And the damage could be worked to be like peoples levels just how random events are. Stronger characters will take more, while lower wont be hurt as much, but still hurt none the less. Compas should still be in use, so should the mini map though, I like it better how some areas are harder to see enviroment places in, so you can navigate yourself through shallow fog as opposed to thick fog, since thick fog wont show people, buildings, nor npc's clear at all.
-
It would be a very good sollution to certain problems of being flooded.
-
What about something like what Magic has for Tele block, rather it be Prayer block, only instead Its justified for certain spells like "Prayer Block: Anti-Missles" But its only a suggestion.

15 Year olds have terrible grammar, horrible punctuation, and put forth no effort to use spell check or take the time to press the letters 'y' and 'o' when spelling the word 'your'..not to mention 'ur' doesn't cover 'you're'...or well most 15 year olds that I encounter seem to act this way..same with people of younger and older age..it isn't very common for me to see people put a period at the end of a sentence anymore. I'm 15.

A really long time ago (prior to RS2 beta, pre2002, etc...)
Ishbar replied to FusionX's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I don't remember when I first started playing...I think it was sometime around when Jagex decided to stop all drops. I played till I was level 40, and I remember a very large Drop Party at Fally. This was back before it because 3d of course. I remember when Rune armor looked really swell, now it looks bland, not like before how it had that Cyan/Emerald color to it. It looked mystical, how it was intended to. I think 3d is filled with spoiled brats now adays. It bothers me when I go out and am asked "Plz help", "Free gp", and "Can you take me to Varrock" Another thing thats has been hitting a nerve is "Press 88888 if u want to b my gf", or "cexy hot 14 yr old girl looking for bf". Although I never was around for The Adventurer, Warrior, Mage ect.. selections I did remember how Rune 2 handers were still 100k in value. I was mearly level 10 around then. I have one item that isn't rare, a black axe, but its the only item i've had in my bank from RsC. People used to consider them rare, or well some people, others didn't. It was all in the eye of the beholder. I got pk'd alot by pures in the wildy, it made me sad. I also remember when I purchased myself a Green mask.. in classic..then I let my level 110 friend borrow it...he payed me back the 400k mask value and the 600k I also leant out..it was only till recently I realized I could of had well over a couple mil from the mask alone...If I knew what I know now back then I would of changed alot of things I did. -sigh- I really do miss RsC, they should switch back. .... ... At least then the noobs who play now would get a hard lesson and understand what everyone else had to do in some way. I mean, some people couldn't make a living by not even being able to run or teleport in the wilderness. It's almost sad in some aspects how people have become relient on the new Rs features. -
Snare for mages, Warriors+Rangers something new!
Ishbar replied to shin-adam's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I think there really isn't a consistent ballance of power anymore. Teams of Mages certaintly do alot more than a team of Melee's, and even if there were Rangers to vs Mage's are more likely to have Defence of Arrows...the way things are now have became inconsistent..this would certainly not bring ballance at all and is a bad idea. -
I think it'd make the game alittle more strategical and fun if anything.
