  1. Hey! Dont you guys forget this thread! This is really nice subject, we need to build more houses. So in other words: *bump*. Tho i havent visited this forum lately, so if there is already another thread similar to this, tell me :)
  2. Ok, now i found what i was looking for. An example of this: You can put your own stats in it if you replace my nick with yours: http://cgi.softwebb.plus.com/runescape/stats.jpg?username=Tonberry1 So any ideas how this is made? Im trying to contact the creator of this, but if someone knows some websites (or the name of this thing (if it has) that i could search it with google) with example codes/tutorials for this kinda things, it would be nice if you could inform me :) edit: it seems that this forum doesnt support that image, but anyway, if someone knows more about this kinda things, would be nice if you could share your knowledge :)
  3. Wow, really much thanks. Thats pretty much just as i wanted it :) Tho i think ill go and learnt that trick so i can use it in future ;)
  4. Hello. I have a picture: here. As you can see, it has very unclean edges. Id need to clip some of those edges to make it look smoother, but i dont know what program to use. So, my question is, is there a program that would make it even little easier than cleaning it pixel by pixel? I have tried Corel's and Adobe Photoshop's "Magic Wand" -tool, but it isnt too good.. So any other suggestions? If no one knows any good programs, i guess i have to do it pixel by pixel :(
  5. rofl ouch. he doesnt understand the time it takes to make pixel sigs Yes, it takes time (prolly more than those others together), but it doesnt change the fact that the picture was not as good as the others (atleast IMO).
  6. Hmm.. that might just work. I have always had problems to decide where to start, but i think ill try that next time, thx :)
  7. You see the old picture (the text instead the house because of your browser is caching images (which is good, speeds up the loading), but with F5 it should take the new pics to cache. F5 should work atleast with Mozilla Firefox (and atleast with IE too). But if it really doesnt work, here it is: <-- same pic as the house which i posted previously and is quoted, but with different filename.
  8. There was a guide how to add a picture to these forums somewhere, it had also a great list of uploading sites. I have my own website where i post my pics (which isnt free), but one free upload site: http://koti.mbnet.fi/kuukke/upload.php If you dont understand finnish, here it how it works: Click the Browse button and search the picture you want to upload, then click the Save/Tallenna -button. It should be now uploaded and your picture should be in the following address: http://koti.mbnet.fi/kuukke/yourpicture.png (or any other filename you have). However, if you dont have too hurry, wait for someone to post the better uploading sites :)
  9. I dont think they make sig worse if the stats are well written (with good font and color), but that means that you need the original file (like for example .psd) to change them, and you cant use the sig other boards than Runescape (well you can, but in there the stats ruin the pic).
  10. I like it without animation, but if you want animation, i would suggest the first one with little slower frame rate. edit: and the sig overall is pretty much perfect :)
  11. Not for bad, but i think it needs something. Maybe something that paint cant make? The runescape char seems too much better than the rest of the picture (which is about only a black background). So, what im saying, if you know how to use something like Adobe Photoshop or Corel etc, you should try to edit the background a little.
  12. Hmm.. overall i would they are good for paint made (tho i dont like the paint-made-look, but anyway), but i think the dagger should have a little shadings on its blade-part (or what ever the metal part on the top is called), so it would look like not-so-flat. I dont know if you understood what im saying, but hopefully u do :)
  13. Ok, im back with my finished house :) I dont have it anymore, but it was little differently colored and not shadowed than my house which i post here (also takes place to the quotes from my earlier text). Yes, the difference to other houses is, it has 2 floors. - - Ok, back to my house. This is it: It has a garage in front of it and it is shadowed a little bit to the left (well it didnt work very well, but if you look closely, there is a shadow :)) Oh, and btw, press F5 on your keyboard if you see only text in this post (there should be a house) edit: If you really cant see the house, this you should see:
  14. Is there any possiblity that we could see the winning sigs?
  15. Heh, thats nice. So Bryce can really do what i imagined it would :) Tho i think that your bowl looks a little metallish, or when you look the top of it (from the hole where you put water into it), it looks like the light wouldnt go through it.
  16. I cant say the exact font name, but check http://www.dafont.com/en/ to find couple of pretty cool fonts ;) edit: I think I saw that font (or something really much like it) on the Dafont-site.
  17. You explained it well (i think), so thats good. But the task sounds pretty much really hard, so i wouldnt do that :/ You said you have Bryce? I havent used it much (once tried it like for 10 mins), so i cant be sure what it is capable of, but im pretty sure you could do something with it (tho i dont say it will be easy). edit: This is what i created in 5 minutes with Vue 4 (you can get the free demoversion which is more than capable (atleast for me) from here http://www.e-onsoftware.com/) I think someone with better 3d-skills than me (maybe you with Bryce?) can do better, but in my opinion, it would be the easiest way to create it in 3d (if the picture below is anything that you were looking for).
  18. Like Jeppoz said, you should do the head before worrying the last decorations. I guess the white background would be ok (nothing too colorful, i guess she is the main thing in the pic :)), but if you want some color, i would recommend something like light brown or something close to her skin/hairs. edit: I wouldnt go to abstract on the background, but if you can do really well fitting absctract background on that, then i have nothing bad to say about it :)
  19. I think it is easier to do that than if it would be some real life charecter. But back from the off-topic: i think that is almost perfect picture at 2d-category. I wouldnt change anything from it, but if you want to try to make it even better than perfect, could there be more reflections/light things in his face like he has in his in his eyes?
  20. edit: Actually i will continue this tomorrow, so dont take the one from the next post (quoted) yet :) edit edit: now i changed the pic in the server where it was, so ignore the next quotes "house" :)

    Pixel sigs?

Armageddon, keep your sig that you have now. Im pretty sure that it is way better than any paint/pixel sig there is or going to be (atleast to my taste).
  22. I prefer the orange one, cos the spiderman is more clearer in there. But to be honest, i like your Mario sig way more than those spidermans (1: it is smaller 2: I prefer Mario over Spiderman) :)
  23. I think its pretty cool, i like it :) Especially you have have used the space of the picture really good, it is just perfect sized.
  24. If i remember right, i have seen automaticly updating sigs at scapeboard (which is here i guess?). But do i remember right or is there a possibility to do a picture which would get its text for example from some database etc? If yes, what do i need for this/what it is called (so i can search with google)? If this is impossible, then i remember wrong :(
