the reason why the scientific plural of a word ending in -us turns out to be -i is because this is how 2nd declension masculine latin words work...and we took their style. 2nd declension neuter words are -um and the plural form of that is -a, just like bacterium, bacteria. A first declension feminine word is antenna, with plural antennae. Virus is a word originating in latin, but there is a reason why it is not called viri. (virii is in fact wrong, it only has one i. it has two i's in the genetive case, not the plural nominative) The plural of virus is not called viri because that is the same word for the plural of man. The word for man is vir, and plural is viri. so, it would not make sense to call viruses and man the same thing.

Gotta agree. I only love them for their all white computers...man, those are a work of art. :drool: If I could have a mac computer, like a g5, but it contained all parts from a PC, I would definintely do that. Imagine running Windows Xp on it 8) yeah i love that mac theme of having all shiny white. it just looks so cool. the ipods too, i think thats why everybody agrees that they look cooler than other mp3 players because of their simple all white design.

for compiling C, i use mingw. google that and you'll get something.

hi guys right now i have a windows xp computer, but i'm thinking about buying a laptop. i was originally planning to get a hewlett packard with windows xp but now im seeing stuff about the new Mac OSX and right now i dont kno if i want an iBook or watever those mac laptops are called, so that i can get OSX. i hear reviews about it being really good, but windows xp has been pretty good to me and i dont see many problems with it. so i just want to know which one you guys recommend, xp or osx. thanks so much it'll help me a lot.

ok, i was in dance class and wearing a dress that was kinda too small for me. just then, i had a solo part and everybody was watching. i had been practicing it and wanted to do it really well. there came a part where i had to bend down, but just as i was doing so, my pants ripped really loudly. :oops: i was soooo embarassed. but luckily it was just my friends and teacher and it wasnt an actual performance...that would hyave been bad :shock:

yeah i've checked out roseon lineage and all that but you have to download. its not that i dont want to download, except i use different computers all the time and i dont want to download on every one of them. are there any other good games kinda like runescape that you dont have to download? btw thanks so much guys for suggesting these. i will def. try them out. :)

hi i just created a flash site using a trial version of this flash site builder thing and its saved as a .ptr file. i uploaded the file into my web host but im not sure how to go from there in order to get the flash part to show up on my actual website which is at http://www.freewebs.com/sowmya90 can anybody help me?? thanks so much :)
