  1. Necro meant to revive a dead thread. This thread was dead for like two weeks before someone revived it. And as extra information, "Necro" stands for "Necromancy", which is the Art of reviving the Dead using Arcane means.
  2. Well, they are going to add something new this month, what more could you want? Please, this game is free and, being free; is very detailed as it is. Don't give JAGeX a reason to close it down altogether because you want more for something you didn't give anything in return. And before you say "advertisements", JAGeX mentioned only some time ago that the adverts give only enough money to help run the F2P servers, no profit. So I implore you, F2Pers, stop giving F2P a bad name.
  3. A new minigame called "Bounty Hunting". Not bad. I'm actually starting to get convinced.
  4. ... Please use punctuations... And no, there will still be no such thing as technical "Prayer Pures", because you simply cannot use Prayer alone to win a battle, even with these additions, apart from probably Guthix. Saradomin's prayer are defensive, and Zamorak's prayer simply gives you an unescapable death match which you still have to fight yourself.
  5. Well, I was thinking "Sense" might be a F2P spell, as since F2P doesn't have Invisible it will be just for finding people... not too much use economically or tactically. the rest, of course; will be P2P.
  6. Because they happened a few years ago: a mistake JAGeX made.
  7. I call for respect. There seems to be copious amounts of disrepect creeping into this thread. Let us do this calmly and rationally like human beings... Anyways. I agree with the others about F2P does not really need any more stuff. You don't pay, they have absolutely no reason to give you anything extra: it is good enough you got a non-trial, non-demo game for free, as well as the chance to upgrade your account if you ever wish to do so. Again, if you want more quests, upgrade your account. However, there is absolutely no need for the disrespect of those people who retaliate against the poster. Even though you might deny it, there is quite a wiff of spite in many of your posts.
  8. Well, you can't cry over something you totally don't need; so I doubt anyone will cry (apart from the spoiled brats) if suffcient bankspace is given. I personally has no bank space problems, but that is because I only keep what I need for every skill level, has very little random and holiday items (I destroyed my hats and scarves from Christmas last year), and also because I do not hybrid (meaning I only have mage gear in my bank: no ranger's or warrior's gear).
  9. Thats where you got it wrong. F2p is the demo, P2P is the real game. Dont pay=Dont get updates P.S. They're called Quests... Actually, no. By definition a demo is a small sneak-peek into a game which either has servely limited abilities or forces you to pay after a time trail. F2P in Runescape is fully an independent game by itself... you can play very well on F2P alone. So technically, F2P and P2P is like "First Class" and "Economical Class" in a plane.
  10. Sorry to say this but this idea will only encourage PKers to PK more, not discourage them.
  11. Is this thread still going? Lord... the poster must have been hiding for more than a month now...
  12. Yes, you can change your allegiance. And good idea about the prayer books...
  13. Actually, there is also a Mage's spell called "Slow" in Maple Story, although it is far more effective than my version of it.
  14. Please, do not Necro.
  15. Hey, man... just... calm down... why are you getting so emotional about it? It is almost like you cannot tolerate people not agreeing with your ideas, which I haven't seen for this thread yet unless you count my indifference... But seriously. Introducing these NPCs will certainly not put PKers off into killing people over NPCs. It is more like the thrill of killing people, of knowing they have a heart, soul and mind... in reality. Not much point in killing pixels controlled by a computer program...
  16. Look, peoples. You are completely missing the point here. The point is the SKILL is too independent to the rest of the game. You could as well spend your whole life in your pirate ship and never go to land. Ship warfare is fine (defending Miscellania from pirates, for example), but too much of it as a huge, almost independent game is too much for Runescape. And Poster, stop trying to victimise yourself by saying the caveman and the fire theory. If we follow your theory, then pretty soon Runescape will have spaceships and aliens and laser weaponary, and Jedi Knights with huge Death Stars; and Galaxy Class Starships with the USS Enterprise-E commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Be reasonable. All in all, your ideas are extremely well thought-out and good, but to forcibly combine two separate games together is way too much. You have to be logical and reasonable. I don't mind adding a bit more about pircay to the game, but it MUST NOT be excessive, and MUST connect to the other parts of the game EXTENSIVELY.
  17. But it completely makes a mage helpless if it is successful... 6K, I think; is a small price to pay for a huge gain in winning probability...
  18. "Prayer Pures"? I don't think there is such a thing. There is no way you can win a fight with Prayer alone...
  19. Why did they block it before though? In what way is it a dirty word? Or do JAGeX just want us to learn our grammar?
  20. I personally don't merchant because I do not like to rely on others in any way in the game, but I know it is one of the most effective ways to make money. You don't even need that great of a saving before hand: just work your way up. It is, however; much riskier than other methods of making money, but not much unless you are really unknowledgable.
  21. I don't know... why is Magic Amplification uneeded? is it too weak? Because I do think it is too expensive to cast... Magic Barrier is basically a magical wall which you can cast. The direction it faces is always perpendicular to you. And since Invisibility is not that good for ambush, I don't think it will be too bad... I have thought about problems with stalking with the sense spell. I just thought that since Zezima and the lot probably has their chats all on off anyway and they already have stalkers wherever they go, I doubt it will matter too much. It might also help people to find lost low levels and such... I think I didn't explain enough about phase. You can only cast it every ten seconds, and teleblock does work on it. Slow does not completely restrict movement, so I think it should have a longer effect time than the binding and Ice spells.
  22. I have no objections, although fighting NPC's is not, in my opinion, better than fighting other players, as there is no flexibility, name-calling, taunting, etc. It may be a nice little idea, but it is slightly excessive and I doubt JAGeX will put it in.
  23. Guess why this skill is not going to work? Because then we will have like two games instead of one. It is way to independent and different to the other parts of the game, it is a game in itself...
  24. That can be solved by restricting Magic Barrier to the Wilderness, where it is meant to block people. Good point on the Phase spell though, but I have no idea how to solve it while still retaining its non-combat abilities... perhaps seal off specific areas?
