  1. Well, after trying for the sixth time, I got to TzTok-Jad, and died. I didn't see him in time but I managed to see both attacks. If I saw/heard correctly, his Range attack makes a retribution sound, and his mage attack sounds like a magic spell, like a blood spell or something. Anyone confirm? Thanks for pitchin in. I'm really close now, I'm gonna try again tomorrow. Keep posting :P
  2. I'm using Guthans for the defence, and when I need it, healing from specific monsters at specific times. It is not teh_suc.. w/e . I've gotten to wave 60 by my method, and I know its possible to get to Jad. I just need to know like.. what does he do first? Should I mage pray or range first? (Until I see him)

  4. Yes, I forgot to mention that. I've checked ALL the guides I could find here on tip.it, I also have the video series by muggi, which is what I've been studying and encouraged me to do this in the first place. Not like he'll read this, but I'm doing this the way I said in my first post, because I'm sure he's encouraged alot of people to at least try at a fire cape, me being one of them. I've decided to do this my way because I don't want to copy off of muggi, nor do I want to do it like some pure does. Range = overrated.
  5. So yeah, I'm trying to get the good ol' fire cape. I'm doing the fight pits without range because my range level is teh suck and I don't feel like raising it, so I'm going all out melee. I'm using Full Guthans to heal, whip/obby shield for melee, and Dragon Halberd for 180's/360's. I know this is an annoying way to do this, but I'm doing it anyway :mrgreen: Anyhow, I need tips on how to take down Jad. I have yet to get to him and was wondering how I should approach him. Hopefully if you're going to give me advice, you've taken him down yourself. I made it to wave 60, but I turned my prayer off a bit too early and had my life ended by a 360. :wall: So again, once I make it to Jad, what ALL exactly should I do? ex: Approach from Hally dist. away, switch prayers and such and hally inbetween dodging death Thanks much.

  7. So yeah, I'd like to get a fire cape. I can get Guthans, and pray pots etc.. but I only have 27 range and really don't want to raise it. I have my reasons for having it low -.- Anyway, is there a way to get Fire Cape, without Ranging? Maybe Guthan+Mage? :-k

  9. Interesting... Although I never put forth much effort to really find out how drops worked, I always had theories. For example, say this monster drops uncut gems, gold (100 only, for this example) and d med. I always wondered, maybe once you get a certain drop, your chances of getting others would increase, and your chance of getting the one you just got would decrease. Say, to start out, fighting this monster you have these chances to get these drops: 100GP: 30% Uncut Sapphire: 22% Uncut Emerald:18% Uncut Ruby:16% Uncut Diamond:13% Dragon Med Helm:1% Then you kill that monster, and you get 100gp. maybe the odds of getting that 100gp goes down, and what % of chance that was removed from the 100gp, gets fed to the others, like so: 100GP: 30% -5% Uncut Sapphire: 22% +1% Uncut Emerald:18% +1% Uncut Ruby:16% +1% Uncut Diamond:13% +1% Dragon Med Helm:1% +1% Note:This is a very crude example. If this was to be tested, or actually be true, the chances would be very different. This is all based on loose thinking, so I haven't put much thought into it. I was just wondering if anyone else thought something like this, or if this has any logic to it. [/b]

  11. Getting this out there if it's not already. Portals seem to be weak to crush attacks (especially D Mace, Veracs) Portals seem strong against Slash and Stab attacks Portals seem weak against specific magical attack elements If you are having trouble getting to a spinner because it's in the middle of a crowd, try running away and searching if any monsters are following you. You can safely lead them away and either go around to attack the spinner or let someone else take the initiative. Also, as soon as the game starts, you should turn on your highest ATTACK prayer. Right before you think/know the game is over, turn it off. Your prayer will ALWAYS restore to full at the end, but if a prayer is still on when the game ends, it won't automatically turn off so be warned. Good luck all, this is a great mini-game. I still wish they would raise exp and gold levels back up =\
