If your reading this, you either have Veracs or like barrows or a combination of both. Well then this guide is for you. Welcome to the barrows guide using full veracs. I'll split the guide into multiple sections for easier reading. And this is an almost complete draft with minor flaws, and missing a few images so bear with me =; Section 1: Pros and Cons Section 2: Set Up Section 3: Getting There Section 4: How to do it Section 5: In the tunnels Section 6: Final Notes Section 7: Closing Statement _______________________________________________________ Section 1: Pros and Cons When you barrow, you win some, and you lose some, no matter what method you use. Heres a list of the good things and the bad things about using Veracs Pros: All Runes are loot Karil is a pushover \ Major Prayer and Defence Bonus Veracs hits through armour No need to bring magic suit Cons: Ahrim is trouble unless you bring ranging gear Karil will own you if your not careful Everytime you barrow like this, you risk losing your helm You don't hit as often as magic if you are not in the 85+ stats _______________________________________________________ Section 2: Set up This is what you should be wearing: You can alter a few things like obsidian cape/fire cape, rune boots, warrior/berserker ring (not suggested), and Fury amulet/Salve (Unconfirmed if Salve amulet has an effect on the brothers, but still helps against skeletons) Now your inventory. If you have a Con level of 50+, you should be using this set up: If you have Con of 67+ use tele-tablets instead. If you don't have a Con of 50+, but have a magic level of 66+ and have finished Desert Treasure, you should use this set up Remember to bring a tele that brings you to an alter like teleport crystal or ring of dueling. If you don't have a Con of 50+ or a magic level of 66 and done Desert Treasure, use this set up Monkfish is best for food as sharks are costly and lobsters doesn't heal as much. Use Holy Wrench only if you are using prayer pots, super restores give +1 more prayer even without it. They also restore the reduced stats by the Dragon Battle Axe so it's the potion of choice. Range equipment is strongly advise as you won't need prayer against Ahrim. Also, a Super Strength is better then Dragon Battle Axe But I'm cheap :P You may also want to bring a secondary weapon (DDS, Whip) for tunnel purposes _______________________________________________________ Section 3: Getting There If you don't know already how to get there you have a big problem... But I'll repost it for the heck of a section. _______________________________________________________ Section 4: How to do it By using Veracs you will alter your way of doing things. When you get here, pot up and go down to Dharok's Tomb. If he is your tunnel brother move on to Verac. If not, own him. Remember to watch prayer, because sometimes he might take longer then usual and you don't want to lose prayer when he's almost dead. But if you do wanna, gimme a call \ Now go to Verac's Tomb. If he is your tunnel brother move on to Karil. You know that famous quote "You are your own worst enemy"? Well it's true, Verac will now hit through prayer so he is very dangerous, though not as dangerous as when maging, you should still watch your health. With or without prayer, this will be the end result... Move on to Karil. If he is your tunnel brother, go on to Guthan. With prayer, you should be able to kill him in no time. I highly recommend you don't fight him without prayer, as it will hurt, BAD! Even in Veracs, Karil is buggy and ignores that high range defence. You can try to kill him without prayer, but only people with 85 + defence will not waste alot of food. It happens often, really! Now that you killed the hard guys, the easy 3 are next. Move on to Guthan. If he is your tunnel brother, do Torag. He should be fairly easy, if you hit and he doesn't heal. I normally do guthan without prayer, but if for some reason you have already wasted more then half your food, I would pray. Smoking Kills... It's the underdog brothers turn, Torag. If he is your tunnel brother, go to Ahrim. I find him the hardest to kill as he has the best def of all the others, but still, he will barely hit you without prayer, so go crazy, just watch your health. Oops... And finally, Ahrim. If he is your tunnel brother, go down. We do him last because he likes to mess us your melee stats. Highly recommended to range him, he will barely hit you in black dragon hide. But sometimes he gets lucky. Remember to use the sidestep if you need to eat. Can't Touch This... _______________________________________________________ Section 5: In the Tunnels Depending on who is your tunnel brother, you may have to change stratagies. Dharok Tunnel: No one likes a Dharok tunnel, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Go down normally, but safe eat, i always keep my health about 59 in case the worst happens. When Dharok spawns, quickly drink a prayer pot and attack. Remember that it's Dharok, always drink a prayer pot even if he is about to die. Better safe then sorry. Verac Tunnel: Once again, "You are your worst enemy". He hits through prayer which is more trouble in the tunnels, you may want to fight him where you can sidestep for health, or go to the other side of the chest, the only good thing about this is you save some doses of potion Karil Tunnel: He usually gets a good hit or 2 at you before you can pray, for this reason, i like keeping my health 50+. Since Karil uses the weakest armour, he should be gone in no time, most of the time 1 dose. Hehe, he's no longer a threat Guthan Tunnel: He's a pushover, consider it a break from the harder tunnels. Eat and attack, pray if needed Nice Ghost Legends Cape... Torag Tunnel: The easiest tunnel brother. Do as Guthan, Pray and eat. Ahrim Tunnel: He's a little more complex then the others. If he is your tunnel brother, enter wearing black dragon hide and find his asap. Equip the bow and put auto off so monsters won't make you waste ammo. When he spawns, turn auto back on and switch to rapid attack. If there are no sidestep places, safe eat. Now that you have killed the final brother, get your desired kill count, go to the chest, open it, and either do one of two options: A: Do some cursing, and hoping for a better trip B: Jump for joy and tell all your friends what item you got _______________________________________________________ Section 6: Final Notes Verac the Defiled Equipment bonuses: Flail Helmet Brassard Plateskirt....errr....Kilt, thats right, Kilt...
