good point, i hadn't thought of what the mentors got out of it. i suppose some people would help becassue they are helping people who are new and as such will not spam, beg, be annoying etc. However any ideas on how to make incentives for the mentors. You could perhaps have useful itmes for each newbie helped? kind of like chomby huntng? any other suggestiosn are good. Bufam i was goin on what you said about rep points.

If you think we're all jerks, you can leave. I would definatley add a begginer's map to the guide. I'll give it a 4/10. Add some stuff to it, fix spelling etc. and I'll raise it. i agreee with the above if you think we're jerks leave. the guide is alright, but possibley put in cash per hr profit per hr about a 6/10 good job if it is 1st guide =D>

not sure if anyone else will reply but it is a thing called leetspeak. It was a tem used ofr what nerds used in the 80's (i think) to communicate with each other. Nowadays it is used by the less inteligent to make them see more so. I P00n JO 4 D@ (joking i hate this way of speaking)

HI, After reading the forums do 'NOOBS - New players get a fair deal' it made me think. when people started, got straight off the boad from tutorial island did they know what to do? I'm sure not. I was lucky and learnt it from a friend, and also witha new frind of mine. We never were noobs. i havve never begged off anyone or will :thumbsup: but what about people who never had this? I have played other roleplaying games online and they had a system where new players could be assigned a more experinced player to help them. this would enable them to learn more quickly what to do, how to get money and gnerally not be noobs and beg, scam steal off other players. I usggest that on the frined window, you should allow yourself to sign up to a mentoring scheme for new players. Yes there is already many tutors in lumby, but would it have made peopel feel better if they had soeone that could help them, show them around and encourage them. I'm sure that this would stop soem popel from beggiing fromothers, instead of calling them noobs, perhapes a scheme liek this to give help to new players. Peopel could do as much as they liked or as littel, but to give a new person help would then make them play more ( and even more likely to become members Jagex :-w ) A little constructive replys or suggestions would be nice. remember - we were all newbies once :P

at the last count a NOOB was an immiture player, this topic seems to be focusing on the term 'newb' which seems to have left the game. If you are in lumby on a non member world, you see 'newbs' or newbies. basically players who are new, dont know what to do and are lost. All members of Runescape and Jagex should try to make life easier for the newbs. perhaps a friend system for experienced players to help them. NOOBS on the other hand are immature players, regardless of level. I have jsut started PC and there are people LOWER level than me calling me a NOOB becasue i cant quite get the hits on portals of 50hits. Then there are players who like to laugh at peopel when they do random things (not eatign while killing a hero in ardy). NOOBs are annoying and can ruin games for people. The ignroe list works wondors for NOOBS. Newbs hoever are tarred witht he same brush and this should not happen. it just puts people off the game. Lv 3-20'are exploreing the game. Give Newbs a break. i remember construction \ it made me like 500k from iron nails, only prob i was revising for exams or i would have made over a couple of mil. Still trying to get that elisive mil #-o . yeah, i then spnet it trying to get planks and buildt my house to lv 27 contsruct. cant do now - no money

I do like the interview tip it times:). i find it so interesting how the high level, and often famous players play the game. as i have only nplayed 2 years it was super to find out how 'the good old days' were. Kepp it up =D>

hi, i have done msot of zogre flesh eaters. I currently am stuck on killing slash bash (gr8 name). my stats (before illness) are: attack:58 Strength:54 Defense: 50/51 Hp: 54 Range:31 prayer:39 what is hte best way to kill him. he keeps teleing awating a better challenge.

opps yeah, woodcutting is linked to construction, evrything has to be in balance :)

wow second post:) but seriously, aren't all of the skills to do with some other skill? i can only think of construction that doesnt have another skill that directly links to it. for example woodcutting has fletching for memebrs and f2p have firemaking. why should cooking be any different? yes it would be great to see people making more different foods, but to cook fish is sooo convinet-it's quicker xp than any other food. until the xp per hr are sorted out fishing will jsut be the way to level up cooking. I have lv 50 odd cooking and i didnt cook anything but fish :)

my favourite town in runescape is probably either: varok f2p due to stupid noobs who will sell me rune ess for 20 gp ea-can either sell straight away or make airs catherby or seers vilage p2p due to fish and very easy wc xp. also what are people's favourite dungeon?
