  1. Though i usually hate these kind of lists at least this one doesn't have 5 Beatles albums which is always a good thing.

On the other hand there are no Smithes albums in the list and some of the choices are,well... a bit strange..(Combat Rock by the Clash???!!)

Anyway, here are the albums i know quite well from the list:

The Stone Roses - One of the most overrated albums in history.

David Bowie - Zigi Stardust - Classic

Beastie Boys - Paul's boutique - an amazing album

Nirvana- Unplugged - a bit over chewed but still , not a bad album

The Velvet underground & Nico - another classic

Pulp - This is Hardcore - strange choice, Different Class(their previous one) is so much better.

    The Clash - Combat Rock

Television - Marqee Moon - definitely a good album

Pixies - Dolittle - One of the greatest.

Buena Vista Social Club - Heard it a couple of times after i bought it, now its gathering dust somewhere...

  2. Waltz With Bashir - this movie grabbed my stomach right from the opening scene and didn't let go the day after.brilliant.

though it's animated some of the (amazing!)scenes felt more realistic then any non-animated movie i saw ,probably(but not only) because they were ilustrations of real events .

Not that this movie doesn't have any weaknesses, mediocre narrative?perhaps , maybe its too slow for a "war movie" - dont think its realy a weakness...still the overrall make up for those.

In my opinion it stand in one line with all the greatest war movies ever made. 4.5/5.

I also saw The Dark Knight on sat. I have to admit, not as good as i thought it will be.

  3. The Smiths - What Difference Does It Make

    classic

Hey Matok! That's been a while. Where have you been?

Hey Dan, well...basically work, life & total depression of whats going on with us and the Palestinians, the usuall stuff :(

  5.

I mean, crickey, it was just released in the press that Israel wanted Bush in early 2008 to help them attack Iran, THREE times. Had Rumsfeld been in charge instead of Gates, we probably would have, too.

Again, the blood thirsty israelis want to bomb the whole middle-east,thats what you were aiming at isn't it?

No but it does support the notion that Kadima has been looking for a war in time for the election.

I myself said that the Hamas was fool enough to play to Barak & Livni hands by starting this crisis, but claiming Israel leaders were just looking for a war,any war,i think its abit harsh.

No, what we do on this thread is denounce the killing of over 900 people in a needless war which after its 17th day has yet to yield any results for either belligerent

I am sorry but when people starts with facts manipulation and half truths it stops being a discussion and becomes a propaganda.

  6.

    Who broke the cease-fire again?

"15 rockets were launched during the ceasefire" (taken from the nice,"very objective", link you send).

    So,who broke the cease-fire again?

"There were not the Hamas who launched those rockets" - then who did?o, i am sorry it was probably the Islamic Jihad.

Btw,notice how they cut the movie in the middle of Regev's answer.

And maybe there was a tunnel they were digging there? maybe they were trying to grab another Gilad Shailt? frankly, i dont know the answer either but i dont come up with false accusations as you do.

Sometimes, half trues are worse then lies, remember that.

I mean, crickey, it was just released in the press that Israel wanted Bush in early 2008 to help them attack Iran, THREE times. Had Rumsfeld been in charge instead of Gates, we probably would have, too.

    *Edit*

I also read about it few days ago ,still,i believe Israel is still far from attacking Iran, and i do hope this day will never come.

But lets not open a new issue here, because the way i see it, next thing you know you gonna pull out another "objective" link showing that the Iranians also have rights on Israel lands and ahmadinejad's mother is actually from Jafa..thats what you do in this thread isn't it?

  7. Yes, lets all agree to Hamas' terms of pushing the israelis into the sea and killing all the jews on the planet...

That was a comment made in Hamas' constitution 20 years ago....

This whole "Hamas wants to drive the Jews into the sea" crap is exactly that.

o man.. let me start by reminding you and all other fresh "peace activists" around here who is the Hamas.

    List of Hamas suicide attacks

Read it,especially the "Death Toll" and imagine how people, civilians, plain ordinary people , who were going to work, drinking in a bar, sitting in a restaurant or having a fest meal..then suddelnly...the (inevitable) Alla-Akbar followed with a boooooommmm...

Where were all you peace-activests back then ?o..i am sorry..you were "not agreeing with what Hamas is doing"...

Yes, we israelis hate the Hamas, and they did quite a job earning this hatred.

Did you know that some of these attacks were carried during the 1993-94 Rabin/Arafat peace negotiations?no, it wasn't a coincidence..

So please, stop with the peace-loving Hamas crap...as i said earlier, you dont know enough about this conflict and i am not just saying this, you simply dont know enough about this conflict.

If the Hamas attacks were directed at the IDF then, in a way, i would have accept it as a legitimate resistance actions, but through all of its existence the Hamas primary targets were mostly civilians and thats terrorism, not resistance.

They could discover oil in Gaza, make every Palestinian as rich as the Saudis and the only change would be that Hamas would buy larger armaments.

I hope not,i believe that there will only be peace here when the palestinians will have more to loose then gain by starting another conlict.

One last note, death of a child, every child,is the most horrible thing in the world.

  8. Do you want to prove the stereotype that Israel wants to control Palestine entirely any more than you currently are?

Where exactly did i said that?

Believe me, a part for some lunatic from our side (Beni Begin),most of us Israelis dont want to control anything.2 lands for 2 nations thats what i preach.

Who was it that took twice as much land as it was initially granted during the Six Day war? Who was it that sliced an extra 10% of the West Bank when it built a separation wall?

You keep treating the Arabs as one block. The war was between Israel and Egypt,Syria, and Jordan. The west bank was under Jordan control and Gaza under Egypt control.

There was no such thing as "the palestinian nation" before 1967 so naturally we were not fighting them back then.

I wasn't aware it was now acceptable to attack a fair democracy because you don't like its leading party.

Leading party which her primary target,as written in its convention, is to eliminate us.

    Not peace,not justice solution....demolition.

I hate this phrase but...Israel does have the right to defend itself.

  9. 1_man & magekillr, what amazes me about your anti-human-shield argument ("nowhere to run") is that you put a side the more fundamental issue here.

Why the Hamas, which is naturally familier with the area and knows that innocents might be killed, start launching missles in the first place?

Let me answer this simple question: Untill now it was a win-win situation for the Hamas.

    -Lets launch some rockets,

-If Israel doesn't strike back ==> great,we just attacked Israel civilians and the weak Zionist entity didn't respond.Lets continue...

-If Israel strikes back ==> bring on Al Jazeera and show the world what the brutal Israeli force is doing to our citizens.Lets continue...

Its amazing how in each Anti-Israeli post (including in this video) there will always be the:

"not that we agree with what Hamas is doing" as a side remark.

But this is the main issue here people, what the Hamas is doing.

If the Hamas didn't "wire" the all Gaza strip with tunnels and explosives, if the Hamas didn't use the last 2 years of Tahadiya for increasing its military force in quantities and quility, then all of this [cabbage] wouldn't happen.

Its amazing how when its comes to Hamas the western world looks at it in a more forgiving way,

as if they are talking about problematic, mentally challenged, kids:

"they are the Hamas, they are lunatic, fanatic, crazy arabs,we dont expect much of them" .

"But you Israelis, you claim to be a western(and moral) democracy...your nation been through the holocaust....you should know better"

Dont underestimate the Hamas, they are not a bunch of primitive lunatic muslims, they are a well orginized political party with a well planned agenda.

But this time their plans didn't workout the way they thought they will...(Nassralla 2006 anyone?)

One last note to those who claim Israel blind attack civialins or not doing their best to avoid hurting them.

If that was the case you wouldn't be be facing ~500 casualties, but 20,30 or even 40 times more.

As strange as it sounds at times like this,we still value human lives more than anything else.
