  1. Can anyone give me a joost beta invite please?
  2. on your comp Start->Run...-> type cmd in the box that opens, then after the command prompt opens type ipconfig Making the IP static has nothing to do on your computer. You would just figure out the DNS servers and one of the IP addresses that your modem/router will respond to, and enter those numbers into the Xbox Live network setup menu.
  3. Instead of telling it to automatically find them give it the numbers you want it to use every time. I don't know those numbers. You will need to figure them out yourself.
  4. Have you tried making the IP addresses and DNS servers for the Xbox static?
  5. Try Ubuntu or Puppy Linux at first, using a Live CD distro.
  6. Way to be ungrateful. There is no single checkbox that will turn off all such warnings on any computer so don't expect one. You hadn't even stated what operating system, let alone what software it came with. It's good to see Linux is finally reaching *cough* mainstream users. Ok, I said it in dispersed posts, so I'm going to say it once in one normal one, and only once. I am running Windows 2000, the PC came with NO DISKS, and there is NO product activation key on the side. I can't tell you what software the message is generated by...
  7. ... If you're going to post, post something helpful. Just tell me what setting to change to turn it off.
  8. The PC didn't come with the disks to do that...
  9. I would try running an anti virus program, and an anti spyware program, just to be safe.
  10. I bought this computer at a garage sale for $5, and when I plugged it in, it worked, and is pretty decent, except that whenever I log out or boot the computer, this message pops up saying that my actions may be logged and if you do anything illegal you could be fired (I assume it belonged to some company before they got rid of them, it was a PIII and they probably wanted new ones), and you would have to accept the agreement before the login prompt would apppear. This message is really starting to bug me (makes me feel like people are watching me, creeps me out), so how do I get rid of it? Edit: PC is running Win 2000 Any help would be appreciated.
  11. I'm not letting this topic go to waste. Bump3h. PS: I quit Runescape finally. It was awful. I play World of Warcraft now. :)
  12. It's a 3 gig download. Expect it to be slow.
  13. Tried it, it just blows the dust into the fan, causing it to accumulate worse on the area. Open the case and blow it out from the inside.
  14. Get a can of compressed air and blow it out.
  15. (Please do not post pics of yourself, for security reasons.) What does your computer room look like? Please post specs of any computers shown in pics. I, being the xtreme multitasker I am, crammed 2 PCs onto one desk. My computers: The 3 most important books in the room, right at hand: The junker (PC on right): OS: Linux/Win 98 Processor: Pentium II RAM: 192MB HDD: 9GB Manufacturer: Micron The good PC (one on left): OS: Win XP Processor: Pentium 4, 2.40GHz RAM: 768MB HDD: 30GB, 180GB Manufacturer: Micron Internet connection: High speed DSL
  16. What is the best thing for me to high alch if I make the nats myself, and I have a 100k budget?
  17. Go to http://www.cheetahburner.com and download a 15 day free trial of the CD burner. Then use that program to burn the .ISO file to a 700mb CD-R and boot from that.
  18. 7, using 3rd party software for an unfair advantage in the game.
  19. Poll: What operating system do you use? Windows Vista: 0 Windows XP: 2 Windows 98: 0 Windows 95: 0 DOS: 0 Mac: 0 Linux: 1
  20. "Walks into Jagex HQ and sees a monkey at reception" -.-"
  21. The moron who banned me must have realised his dumb mistake. Edit: And i've gotten a reply in 12 hours from Jagex, to be honest.
  22. Thank god. 24 hours later, Jagex unbans me and sends an apology. I still hate their system.
