monkfish is harder to get but gives more xp and if your using it for food it works well if u cant catch sharks

iron is better for expierence and money and is used for smithing but ess is easier to mine and can still be sold (dependent on f2p or p2p and ess can be used for rune crafting

train on the lessers in mage tower

i dont know about 1 mil but steel bars are your best bet

your defense doesnt prevent magic from hitting you your mage lvl is like your magic defense

and mabye dueling isn't your thing i never go to duel arena unless its for fire rune runs im in the economics fishing,mining etc just find your purpose in the game and you'll be happy

here i have made a list of all things that are seeming un important but come into great use in the game -Spade a barrows -posion cure in karmaja -runes for spells -small quest parts (like a knife for tai bwo trio) -food -hammer for smithing -pikeaxe for mining -axe for woodcut -harpoon,lobster pot etc for fishing -money for boat trips,carts,carpets -farming tools(not usually because of lepreachaun -water skins -knife for cactus' -good weapons and armor -TELE RUNES -forgetting to refuel prayer at alter please state more if u have any

moral: dont loan stuff to others even if u are "friends" with them you should only lend stuff if u physically know the person or trade it for collateral so if you wana borrow somebodys verracs give them sometihng of equal value like gp or something else sort of like a deposit
