  1. Once met a group of people woodcutting with the names: Little Sis, Mother, Father, and Little Bro. I was like
  2. Thanks a lot for this article. It really made me dream back to the old days :) Like other people have said: I could not agree more on your views about the downhill of the Runescape community. I don't know if my memory glorifies the past, but as I remember it, back in the first couple of years in classic, almost everyone went along. Everyone knew each other and "lived in peace and harmony". I remember the early days when I was in awe of players like Tks, Bluerose13x, and Zonghui. I remember when I bought my first r2h. It was the best weapon at the time and I bought it for 150 k, which was an incredible amount of money at that time. I remember having fun powermining with the "gang" in Dwarven mine. I remember how happy I was the first time I became a member. Jagex had just made it possible to become a member and gain extra benefits, and it was just.. :) I like Runescape 2 because of all the things you can do, but at the same time I still miss Classic..
  3. Very well-written. However, the article itself was boring. You merely stated what the majority of players already know. It would have been nice with something controversial
  4. Shutdown /i  EDIT: Type the above in command prompt.
  5. duke freedom was a merchant, he can't be a legend, neither can 3 hit u or w13. duke freedom was a great merchant but that don't make him no rs legend. 3 hit u was not "one of the best" players in rs because he's just an ordinary pure. w13 made zybez so what.... if u saw his stats in rs, they're not any good because he barely plays rs so he can't be no legend. Empror1 i'll say is a legend because he's dominated rank 1 in firemaking for years now. god some of u people don't know anything who and who aren't legends in rs And apparently some of you people cannot read. Let me quote the question asked: "Who are the legends to you?" He has every right to tell who he considers legends - even though you might disagree with him.
  6. I don't think exploring the reasons for cheating was the author's intent. he was just conveying his personal experience with the issue. So why is he writing this?: "Why I am writing about this now? I have been debating why I did it, and why anyone else does these things. Why does the person playing D&D say they rolled a 20 when they really rolled a 13?" And about the article: You are terribly mistaken about why the majority of people "cheat". I say this as a person who are still part of the cheating communities ( even though I don't cheat myself ). I will write a response as soon as I get the time.
  7. The Old Nite: One of the only top players who talked to "normal" players. Zezima: Number 1 for a very long time, but - rumors say - still maintain what other people would call a life  Flubber12: I just loved her name. One of the top-players when I started to play. Zonghui: Was the best fighter when I started. Tks: Was number 1 when I "discovered" the higscores - and I had a better mining and smithing level  ( She had 55,50 ) lilyuffie: The player with the most xp for a very long time. Ligthning and Eeeeeediot: Former leaders of tip.it. xxx Neo7 xxx: Still the best fletcher. Scarfuncle: Was the second player to reach 99 runescrafting ( right? ) and made the best runecrafting guide ever, shortly after. Also, the inventer of the stocking method. Choppermad: Number 1 for a short time after Runecrafting was released. Duke Freedom: The best merchant ever. Strider3285: The maker of SwiftSwitch I Am Drache: Level 3 with 99 cooking. ( Not exactly a legend but worth mentioning. ) Empror1: First player ever to max out the skill xp ( Firemaking ) Mr Ph3r: Had 3 threads answering anything that reached post limit ( Later he became a forum moderator, and some rules were changed ) Venom0619: First to reach 99 farming. Cursed You: First to reach 99 construction and also said to be one of the richest players ( If not the richest after the banning of Duke Freedom ) Kale Stille: First player to reach 99 runecrafting, and the first top player I have seen. Ks Jeppe: A legend on tip.it I believe  ( And from my country.. WUUUT! ) MrStormy: Founder of runehq.com There are many others worth mentioning, but I cannot be bothered to type more..
  8. I am happy with my name ( Estel Teleco ), but if I was given the possibilty to change it, I would skip the Teleco part - only problem is that Estel is already taken.
  9. Exactly what I was going to say Bub! They keep thinking that introducing the next in depth random event will stop autoers. They just don't realise what they are up against! Nor do I think they want to! No offence, but you guys don't know what you are talking about. All these random events are frustrating the cheating communities. Noone wants to update all the cheating bots everytime a new random event is introduced, and when they aren't updated, they don't work. Random events have done a lot to prevent cheating in Runescape!
  10. There are billions of Runescape forums/fansites with billions of users - some of these users have thousands of posts. I am wondering; do you spend more time on Runescape forums than actually playing the game? Do you play and use the forums at the same time? If you do use more time on forums than playing, please explain why  Thanks
  11. Sorry I havent posted what world before now. I did post it on the runescape official forums, but my topic was deleted :? It will be world 110, since The Old Nite preferred aussie worlds. I am sorry that f2p won't be able to attend that way, but all the people from the rs official forums was told it is being in 110, so I cannot change that now. I hope to see many of you 20 pm. gmt
  12. Also, if someone has found grammatical errors, please send me a pm ;)
  13. EDIT: The march has been held. Thanks to everyone participating. I am sure The Old Nite would have appreciated us honoring him.. May he rest in peace. I would appreciate if you would check this thread on the Runescape forums. Quick find code: 42-43-742-24664332 If you are lazy, this is what I posted: As many of you may be aware of, one of the greatest players of Runescape passed away a couple of weeks ago. He died of cancer at the age of 45 He will forever be known as one of the only top-players who always acted kindly. He was always ready to help, and did not mind chatting - even to players who came directly from Tutorial Island. He will forever be missed In the honor of his memory an event will take place. This sunday at 20.00 pm ( GMT Time ) a march will be held. In silence we will walk from Lumbridge to Falador, from Falador to Varrock, and from Varrock to Lumbridge. In Lumbridge we will have 2 minutes with complete silence. It will all end in the Lumbridge church where everyone wishes The Old Nite good luck in his after-life - everybody will type; R.I.* once. ( * is a P ) You will gain nothing from this march except honoring one of the greatest players ever in Runescape. You will honor a great person, who passed away way too early. The march will be held in an yet unknown world. I will hopefully know tommorow what world the great player used the most. When I know I will post it here, and it will be in that world the event will take place. I recommend everybody to wear priest or monk robes and for those who have the possibility - a prayer book of your own choise. If you want to honor him, please post here. Also, I beg you to respect this march. I beg you to keep the silence. I will be leading this event, and I will be the only one speaking - of course only in the beginning and end of the march. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. MISC: If you don't know who I am talking about, please message me in game, or go to a Runescape fansite forum, where - no doubt - everything will be explained to you. TO THE MODS: I ask you for a permission to post this player's name. I know it is against the rules, but I find that this might be an exception. I have based this event on other people's ideas. I know there is another large post about having a funeral, but since it was not arranged and was held the same hour the author posted, I figured this would be a good idea ;) Please show your support, post in the thread, and join the march ;) EDIT: If you want to join please post your runescape name and/or post in the thread on the runescape forums ;)
  14. Thanks Mettalica ;) If noone knows any specific world the event will be held in an Australian world then.
  15. Since I'm planning an event with some friends in memorial of The Old Nite, I would appreciate if someone who knew him couldt tell me what world he mainly used. Thanks. May he R.I.P
  16. ' The problem is that if they sell the account - even without the correct password - some people pay. Even though it is possible to undo money transfers via paypal, there will always be a risk.
  17. If you are a "virgin", I would recommend Python as your first language. It is as easy as Visual Basic, but you code more useful things with Python. Also, Python gives you a basic coding overview which I'm sure you will find usefull later in your career ;) If you need guides and/or help; google.
  18. Actually, air crafting is the quickest way. Due to the location of the altar you get more experience per. hour ;) EDIT: Seems like I was too slow :?
