  1. No amount of money can measure up to having all 99s. Nuff said.
  2. The reason I have been f2p forever is because all members seem to be stuck up. I was mining in Scorpion Mine when a lvl 92 member comes up to me and says "hey noob your 83 cb is that a joke?" From what I read in this thread it has cemented the way I feel towards members. On one occasion a guy with a whip was showing off Goblin taunts and proclaiming he owned everyone. Its just not funny? I have only one person on my friends list who hasn't become p2p. All my other friends beg me to become a member but I decline. Every time it happens I ask myself whether alching a Yew long is more fun than alching a steel plate. Or if Flax picking sounds like fun? For some time I considered buying membership because of the Ranging guild (ranging so terrible in f2p), but then I asked around and was told how boring it was. I've never heard a good word about herblore or construction. I also feel like there is more to do in f2p. There are always new targets an f2p can set for themselves. Not content with being able to mine addy, I'm now half way to mining runite. I can't even smith addy yet, don't have a million gp yet, don't have 100cb yet. For me I respect high lvl free players. A lvl 100 f2p is much more an achievement than lvl 100 in p2p. So to all free players: Stick with it, be determined, be the best.
  3. I've played for 4 and a half years, still f2p. Wondering if any other f2p have played longer than me?
  4. Runecrafting definitely hardest skill to raise. With prayer you can at least kill stuff for bones, which is more exciting and hence easier to level. Because we have no access to high level runes there is no motivation to level runecrafting. Crafting is dead easy to raise, I recently found a technique which gets me 50k xp per hour.
  5. The animation also works on free worlds.
  6. Thanks for hosting a fun event guys. I had planned a sensible order but it was spoiled because I couldn't get into worlds 3 & 4 at the time. This was the order I went in: Port Sarim (1st to tag Dutty4u) Rune Essence Water Altar Draynor Dwarven Mines Lumbridge Sheep Pen Hardest clue was #4, had to hunt for Lanterna. I did not check forums and thought I was looking for J Dude79 but I traded Lanterna because of the costume and the suspicious behaviour, not knowing there was a sub. Lol I chatted to Blipo for some time before realising I had actually tagged the right person and won the 500k.
  7. I'd just like to point out that the first post doesn't explicitly tell us that the world number is in the clue. Saying the world number is "unknown" doesn't tell us anything and nor does "you may be directed to another world." Up until now I was under the impression I'd have to add the judges to my friendlist to see what world they were on, making clue 6 very difficult indeed!
  8. At the end of the day, the primary objective of Jagex is to maximise profit. In order to achieve this, they have released an update which does exactly that. Jagex is not in fact disturbed by macroers at all. This update has done a few things for Jagex : -Encouraged legitimate f2p miners to become members -Encouraged macroers to become members -Created the illusion that Jagex were doing something about macroers As previously mentioned, the price of Nature runes will shoot up. All high level runes will rise in price. This makes members more attractive. The majority opinion here is that free players just got messed up badly. It all works in favour of Jagex and their aim to make more people become members. Given the number of people that play RuneScape, this update will make hundreds if not thousands of people become members. So if you think this update was solely designed to remove macroers, you are wrong. It is an elaborate money making scheme, and the guys at Jagex will share champagne as their membership count rises dramatically.
