  1. Yeah I think that aquanite task is a waste of time. It's also disappointing with the fact that some tasks such as warped terrorbirds/tortoises can be avoided if you don't do a particular quest, but if you do the quest, you're punished by getting them as a task. It's wrong in my opinion, and Jagex SHOULD change it. We're penalized for doing quests.

Warped tortoises are very good task, very profitable due to their tortoise shell drops (as well as rune picks etc), easy to bank/access, cannonable, multi, quick to kill, low damaging.. Love them ;P

  2. Another button that'd be nice to have is "Add final xp to current xp" in planners, if possible. That way when planning something that involves different planners, you don't have to copypasta the exp (For example, making and alching battle staves. Lunar, Magic and Crafting planners needed!:P).

Sorry if hijack. I do agree that your suggestion would be nifty, though start button->calc works too :D

  3. I had a bit of time on my hands and I decided to rummage through the guides and pages for errors. Here's what I could find for now:

    http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=combat_guide.htm

To the boots section it would be wise to add the F2P security dungeon boots.

To the jewelry section it would be wise to add the (i) versions of rings (from MA) as well as Warriors and Berserker rings.

For Mjolnir section you could add a .gif switching between all 3 types of Mjolnirs as it's been done for similar same-stats-different-version items. (Same for Croziers)

    http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=farming_guide.htm

Leprechaun section, you might to upload the version of the screen that is the current one - where it replaces inventory. Also, add information that you can store magic watering can there.

Supercompost: Might want to add that you may use the Lunar spell "Fertilise soil" to have the effect of supercompost.

    Allotments etc routes:

Add Catherby teleport from Lunars for routes. Charter too possibly.

Fishing guild teleport from Lunars for Ardougne Patch.

    Hops, routes:

Fairy Ring code ALS is a good option to get to the McGrubor's hops patch.

For Yanille, might want to add that you can set the teleport inside Yanille after Ardougne diaries. Also, home teleport if home is set at Yanille is good.

Entrana: Teleport with Cabbage ring, depositing it at the deposit box by the monks is also a quick option.

    Fruit trees, routes:

For Catherby, again, Lunar magic's Catherby teleport. Charter too.

Brimhaven: having a spirit tree there, using Karamja's gloves and taking cart to the docks as well as charter are all possible.

    Bushes, routes:

Etceteria: Lunars tele to waterbirth/moonclan and taking boat/talking without seal are good options to get to Rellekka, from where you can take a boat to Etceteria.

    Specials, routes:

Spirit tree at Etceteria: Read Etceteria Bushes

Spirit tree at Brimhaven: Read Brimhaven Fruit trees. Same for Calquat.

Bittercap Mushrooms: Slayer ring teleports to Slayer tower nearby.

    http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=firemaking_guide.htm

Training tips. Likely best spot would be GE.

No longer willows would be more GP/XP efficient than Maples for F2P.

All the tips about 100 sticks to access Teaks/Mahoganies ought to be removed as they're accessible elsewhere - Ape atoll, Chompy Hunting Grounds and probably other spots, but these 2 are the best.

For 70-99 magic logs are an option, rather than yews if you're rich. Yews would be for..moderately rich :P

    http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=ranged_guide.htm

Jewelries, (i) rings from MA should be added.

ANYWAY..I just quickly skimmed through skill guides for now. I do not guarantee I did not miss anything, I will also be skimming through other pages, such as minigames (Omgactivitieswat), general guides and such, but this has taken me a while as it is, so I'll drop a post later. If you do not wish me to make a new topic, don't close this!<3

[hide=Original Post]I had a bit of time on my hands and I decided to rummage through the guides and pages for errors. Here's what I could find for now:

    http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=agility_guide.htm

"Note also that you can use boosters to be able to cross obstacles or enter courses which require 3 to 5 levels higher than your agility level. See the boosters section of this guide."

With stews that's 3 to 6 levels higher. Those should also be added to boosters section.

Cowman Edit: I'll have to discuss adding the Stews to other guides. For now I will hold off.

    [hide]Penguin course:

"The course is located in the penguin's outpost, on the iceberg, in the Lunar Sea. There are several ways to get to the iceberg; the quickest option is to fairy ring teleport just east of the boat using code DKS, or you can teleport to Rellekka using an enchanted lyre or house teleport (if your house is in Rellekka) then walk northeast to the boat."

Rellekka diary's rewarded boots can also teleport you to Rellekka.

Cowman Edit: Since you still need the lyre to do it I won't include this.

    [/hide]

[hide]It's also worth adding to Wilderness course information about Brawler gloves adding 4x xp or 1.5x xp on other courses within PVP & BH worlds.

    Cowman Edit: Added

    [/hide]

[hide]Information about Circus XP should be added at Tips&Tricks.

For the Excalibur you might add information about enchanted excalibur, as it has higher stats and a better special attack.

For the same section, Flail of Ivandis ought to be added (below Rod of Ivandis I guess).

[hide]For whip you might want to have information about colouring it with BA.

Speedyshel Edit: Added whip colouring info to the guide.

    [/hide]

    http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=crafting_guide.htm

Silver section, you ought to add "Silvthril Chain" for Flail of Ivandis. Gives 100 xp but requires a mithril bar.

Boosters, spicy stew should be mentioned.

[hide]"You can buy a Dwarven Stout from the Inn in Falador and other pubs around Runescape. Drinking it will raise your mining and smithing by one level for a couple of minutes."

    >for a couple of minutes.< should be wiped as there's no telling how long it'll stay, could be 1s, could be 60s, unless you re-log. Certainly not two mins =p.

    Cowman Edit: Clarified

    Levelling:

60-85 should be renamed to 60-99 while keeping the 85-99 as mining rune is not the best training .

Cowman Edit: I'll have someone look into this. EDIT: Done

Mining aids: (rename to boosters? :P)

    Spicy stew. 'nuff said. :P

And remember, credit as "Profins", if anywhere =P[/hide]

  4. Yet you tested with rune arrows and darts, which frankly are not the best for every-day use. Try either adamant arrows/darts or rune bolts.

I bought 6k rune darts when they were 160 gp each. At that price, they are very reasonable for every day use. Rune arrows have been in my bank for ages. Was surprised they were 400 gp each. I thought it would be more like 250. You are right though, at current prices, rune arrows aren't very economical, nor are darts.

Not only that, I also were implying that you're using bolts equivalent to adamant and darts/arrows equivalent to rune. It is also (or were) a common knowledge that crystal bow's strenght is equivalent to rune. So for appropriate tests you'd have to do rune bolts, which would then prove that they're the best (seeing as how little difference there is between broad and others).

  5. You can prove it's not Lapalok by screenshotting who answers you on gem for this task :P

Other than that, yeah, sucks. I came back after 2 years or so of not playing, didn't know who Aquanites were, but figured that if you have to pay for them, they're good. My mistake. I spent 150 points buying them and blocking them :/

  6. Solartide, you're trolling. Original Post is a troll-post. Honestly, there are so many possible combinations of slayer gear as well as reasons, that you can't go calling someone "newb slayer" just because they're short for cash. That's ridiculous. Or limiting the slayering gear to that..What about proselytes? What about dharokers? What about rangers and mages? What about veracers who piety through their tasks? As for defender versus DFS, attack bonus>def <3

Edit: Oh he, pretended to be a troll, so my post fails.

  7. You are right that more tests should be done, and also outside kuradal's dungeon. Diamond (e)'s are nice, but I was more testing for every day training ammo, not the boss hunting ammo, even though even there crystal bow might be quite good. That's why karil's crossbow isn't an option either (would cost too much) for normal training. I'm also pretty sure that sighted longbow is gonna be trash. Crystal bow and broad bolts were already insanely accurate. Even darts were very accurate actually. But who knows, on mith drags or something perhaps...

crystal bow trick: It degraded about every 10 min, so it's easy to time, especially if you use overloads.

Yet you tested with rune arrows and darts, which frankly are not the best for every-day use. Try either adamant arrows/darts or rune bolts.

  8. I ran through there and did not see a third one. I doubt there is third one, I'll run again now.

Edit: I'm sorry, third one is called "Gruh" (Easy to mistake I guess). He's at the very west end. If picture is required, I can provide it later. :P

  9. Ohh the times when solo pking for average player was just a weekly/monthly enterprise at most. The times if you were not uberawesome at PK, you'd have to fall to RC pking. Ahh. Yeah, nowadays anyone can go out, spec a few times and depending on hits, run to safety or try and hit some more. Even if they die, "Heh, 400k, idfc". I loved those times. I remember making pures was incredibly fun, most people wouldn't get to PKing with it, but doing it, planning it (and drop trading to it =P) was fun. Nowadays.. a month at SW/PC and you can go PK :(

As for videos, the problem is all these new nifty programs and websites. Back in the day, before youtube got popular/existed, you'd want to make it perfect (and full of PK) the first time, since it'd take a while to re-do it. Back then watching 30 min pk videos for full runes, mystic sets, occasional whip or dharok helm was thrilling. Now.. as muggiWhplaR said, it's full of over spec-effected same thing. 10 minutes of sped up to maximum, dizzied out so you can barely see the pker, videos. Kids, calm down, you don't need them. I don't know about others, but I like to see the actual damage, chatter between players and the drop list.

Sad thing is, multi combat spots now are full of 1-itemers (in +1 worlds) that like to brown nose any team they see. :(

  10. In the TTN it says that AFTER the quest you can unblock the cave, get herbs, fix bridges and fire up the fireplace.

However you can do all that during the quest, as soon as you can get to those locations. This would be particularly useful information for those who do not want to/can not finish the rest of the quest, but want the rewards either way.

    Pictures for proof:

    mining.png

    herbs.png

    firemaking.png

    bridgeb.png

Did those right after I could get there.

Edit: You can also clear the log at Ape Atoll, but forgot to take picture.

  11. Exactly, if a bot has their stats wiped, bank wiped, everything wiped AND has a 14 day ban/history of macro, they have no reason to continue playing.

Also to whoever mentioned earlier that "If they are caught training stats, wipe stats, if caught making money, wipe bank":

Excuse me sir, bots don't do one without the other usually.

  12. As if there wasn't "TMAC" that changes MAC address in no time. And even w/o it, you can do it manually.

Honestly, insta ban. I can suffer having high prices on items, I can't suffer 200 000 lvls 138 who are as stupid as a brick on RS. All of whom have 500m each.

  13. I checked the right-click on the newly updated Runecrafting altar, and noticed this:

    xmr9qr.png

Why is the "Imbue Staff" option not along the rest?

Im seriously lolling at you now.

    LRN2USEYES

It's right there, just because it's not with the other, doesn't mean it's an error. IMHO it's even better. Doesn't confuse you.
