Not everyone can fairly judge this, as not everyone has actually seen some lesser-known artists work. What about the people with less than 75 posts who came over from pixelation or something like that? *cough* /blows at pixelling

Bleh, removed the pickup from above the fret, couldn't find a decent colour for it. :(

Ok... Frizzy hair isn't my thing. I'm not even gonna post what it came out as. :x I did darken the hair however, but I can't make it completely black, because that would make it look flat and unshaded. :?

That might have something to do with the fact I've never pixelled hair before. ;) Black, I can do, frizzy, I'll try.

So... yeah. It's the sig I entered into the comp thing that Led_Zepplin posted. Total time spent on it was about an Hour and a Half, pixelled from the worst lineart ever, and uses about 50 colours in total, which blows, because most of my sigs are below 30. :? Eh, anyways, don't rate, I want comments and critisism ONLY. Numbers mean jack to someone when he doesn't know how to improve said figure. COMMENT, YOU COMMUNISTS!!1!1

Sig completed. The text can be changed to whatever you want, whatever colour you want, also. ;) Edit: Yes, that is three strings on the guitar. 'Twould be more, but the fretboard would be too wide. I can also remove the lead if you want, because I know I, myself, don't like it. :? Edit2: Look ma, no lead!

20 mins of quick shading gives me this, so far. Still working on it.

The shadow fits with the perspective on the JPEG, and the one thing you haven't managed to capture on the pixel is the perspective. :wink: The overall shading on him should make him seem as if he was turned slightly to the right, instead of head on. Aside from that, however, Nice clea lineart, but the shadow on the neck should be slightly lighter, so as not to make the dithering obvious. Widen his jaw/chin, too.

Ever seen a Dragon Long in real life? :wink: How do you know they're too thick? I think they look like that because he's added chips into the wood that's showing.

Yuuup. Remember to keep the darker outline on things though, so it doesn't look like there's missing pixels. IE: Instead of removing parts of the outline altogether, just move them in a pixel.

Also, airbrush those jagged edges away, Mexe. Renders alone = lose. Renders and PS = win.

I meant in your current, which I'm using as a general guide as to how good you both are.
