  1. well at 61 mining, a d pick makes it so that you might not even hit the rock and you'll get the ore. there wont be an animation, youll stand next to the rock and the ore will be in your inv

    Yeah this is true.

It's quite funny, my friends and I (before it was released) used to joke about how good the dragon pickwould be, saying that you would probably just look at the rock, and the ore would appear in your inventory.

  2. I've been reading around the forums and I've read that using your highest level spell against abyssal demons can be decent magic exp, my question is what sort of set up should I use?

Is it worth using an elemental staff over a staff of light to save money? Is void mage worth using or should I stick to Ahrims? Is it worth doing without an arcane stream? Would a bunyip be sufficient at 99 defence or will I need a unicorn?

  3. I know this thread is about bonecrushers, but a benefit to the herbicide is that when fighting monsters with high herb drop rates (turoths, aberrants) you don't have to sift through all the herbs on the ground to get the good ones, you can tick the herbs you don't want and pick the rest up.

  4. Now that bonus exp weekend is coming up it's obviously the time to use up all your summoning charms.

My question is, is it worth making anything with the golds and greens? Would I be better off spending the time collecting more crimsons than making anything with my golds/greens? Even with 110% exp?

Also if it is worth using them, what should I make? The highest level pouch I can?

  5. DEFINITELY get a penance horn and fill it. You won't need to fill it all the way, I think I only needed to do 10 waves to have enough potential to go from 75 to 76 so you shouldn't need to do too much.

I used to absolutely loathe mining, the most I could do at a time was about half an hours worth, when you have the penance horn it makes mining seem much less tedious and semi enjoyable when you see yourself getting twice the usual exp values.

It probably helps that I really enjoy Barbarian Assault.

  6. Hey guys, I have around 7500 unfinished potions and their respective seconds in my bank (bought them ages ago as I wanted to raise herblore but couldn't be bothered to train lol, guess that paid off).

I was wondering if you guys could tell me around how long it will take to make all those potions, and the approximate value of the bonus XP modifier after this time.

    Thanks guys.

  7. What I would find helpful is if you put in the farming level requireed to farm each herb, as I'm regularly having to check the herblore skill interface for which ingrediants i need, then checking farming skill interface to see if I can farm then, then finding I have to make the next potion down, looking up the herb needed, checking farming level, buying seed etc...

Maybe have it parenthesis next to the herb name.

  8. Yeah you range waterfiends, it's easy. As far as I'm aware, Broad bolts are both cheaper and better than crystal bow. Also, buy some rune darts, they're great for tasks in Kuradal's dungeon due to the effect of the ferocious ring.

I got 99 ranged through slayer and it was fun as hell.

These guys can be quite tricky. You need to fight them in this spot. You can't safespot them while they're aggressive so when you first come, you'll need prayer pots ( I take two 4 dose pots) and a bit of food (instead of food I take a bunyip and Enhanced Excalibur). Protect from ranged and just kill them until they aren't aggressive. After that, safespot them to your hearts content. Although their attacks are ranged, the range of their attacks is less than the rune crossbow.

Here is where to stand to safespot them, the different coloured squares are where the waterfiends are, and the corresponding coloured circles are where to stand to be out of their range. For example. in this picture, the waterfiend is in the yellow square, so I am standing on the yellow circle spot. This spot is far north of the fairy ring.

I also have a few tips/saefspots for other monsters if you wanna check my (discontinued) blog (link in my sig)

  9. That depends on whether you got it to be a proud owner or as an investment. I'd congratulate you.

Definitely not just to be a proud owner =P, think I'll just hoarde it forever until they're 100+Bil

  10. Boss rooms are public areas. If I'm killing the KBD and you walk in to do the same, you have just as much right to be there as I do, and I will respect that right and expect you to do the same for me. It doesn't matter who was there first. We're both here now, and either one of us has the right to choose whether or not to hop worlds. I will respect that right as well and expect you to do the same for me. If you don't want to hop, and I don't want to hop, then I guess we're fighting for that KBD spawn, and it's your decision as much as mine. As far as I'm concerned, that's that.

This basically sums it up for me. I don't see why people think being at a boss first gives you a right to it.

Except when it comes to scamming. Then that rationale seems to go right out the proverbial window.

Of course, you'll inevitably say, "But, Sly! Scamming is against the rules!", to which I reply "So what?". Imagine, if you will, that there was absolutely no rules against scamming in game. None what-so-ever. Now let's assume that someone decides to start a thread about why they scam others, how it's much more efficient to scam others than it is to take weeks, months or maybe even years trying to acquire an item through normal means and how they consider it fun. I can guarantee you with absolute certainty that the people using the whole "No one cares about ethics in a game... Efficiency/fun... Blah blah blah" lines would suddenly be singing a totally different tune, and they would more-or-less base their argument as to why the person who started the thread was in the wrong on the basis that his actions have a negative effect on the game play of others (*hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge*).

If scamming weren't against the rules then I wouldn't object to people doing it, it would certainly be an interesting feature.
