All I've gathered so far is that every hates them, and I'm with this guy, elaborate maybe? Essence used to be just one thing, for both f2p and p2p, and made all runes. Yes, autoers did mine it, but oh well? Anyway, it was 50gp each, and rcers made tons of money buying from f2p and making nats, then selling, and f2pers made money by mining, it was easy for all levels. Jagex then split the essence, to make f2p runes (Body and lower) you used normal ess, the original, and to make p2p runes (Cosmic [i think] and higher). Because no p2p player needed normal ess, the ess rocketed down in price, and f2p lost one of two of their main money sources (other is yews), and pure ess got boosted to 110each, as barely any p2p mines ess. RCers lost money, merchanters lost money, f2p'ers lost money, and I'm sure jagex lost money, with some people quitting. Great update Jagex! :roll: :roll: I'm guessing pure yews are next :oops:
