I wouldn't go that far... I've seen a lot of people for whom regular armor is very effective, and they take a lot of damage while wearing hides. I've also seen people at the same monsters for whom hides give a lot of protection and they take a lot of damage if they wear normal armor. It's been a while since I've steadily fought any of the creatures low enough to analyze this, but it seemed half and half when I was going for 85.

Perhaps you guys (at least the ones rambling about PKing) are misreading the article... When he went into depth about how to make money he was talking about making legitimate money (thus... NOT the greed factor). That's just the way I took it... Same with merchanting... I for one don't think there's anything wrong with getting something a little cheaper now and then... but I kinda feel obligated to tell somebody if they're selling something for half what it's worth (even if it's something I'm buying). I'll often give them something in the middle if they're doing this... that way I'm not completely ripping them off. Seems a lot of merchants feed off inexperienced players who don't realize their items are worth more than they're getting... pretty noob to treat 'em that way imo.

Pardon me for saying but there's your reason why your dad's account got banned. Even you referred his character as limp instead of lim. Hence, it is not difficult to surmise why Jagex would view it as limp-arse rather lim-parse. I don't mean to sound callous but any account that has an offensive word in it, no matter how remote, is doomed for banning from the very beginning and that includes your dad. I believe it would have dawned to him during the creation of the account, there was a certain risk that the name limparse might be misconstrued as something negative but your dad still went ahead and tried his luck. 10 months later, he got the final verdict. All I can say is, if the name sounds distasteful, donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t use it, even though it isnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t offensive in another language. You will end up frustrated when the law catches up with you and you would have wasted all your effort. I don't entirely agree with you on this point. I for one agree that it is pretty bogus in his case. There is nowhere in the TaC that says English is the "official language" or anything of that sort... While he could've been more careful and realized how the English players may take the name offensively, he's more or less being banned for using an innocent Portugese word, which is BOGUS. In Spanish, which is similar to Portugese to the extent that I can follow most written Portugese I see, any transitive verb ends with a "se" at the end. (correct me if this adj. is wrong, same point nonetheless... while I've spoken Spanish for over 7 years, I haven't had classes or used it in the last 2) There are 3 primary verb forms, "=ar" verbs, "-er" and "-ir". So anybody wanting to use a Spanish verb of this form as their name will have "arse" at the end. e.g. callarse, cantarse, etc.

How do you even know that there are only 10 of them? There is barely any information and Jagex does not confirm anything about the mini-game or release any information about it. Is there only room for 10 banners on the wall which your banners hang? You never know if there are even more and more banners to get up. Aside from the hex editors (which are naughty naughty ppl :P), the update has been out for 2-3 months and not a single person has given pictoral proof of anything other than the 10 known champions. I'd imagine out of all the people who use tip.it, and all the people raising slayer, that if there were more, we would know by now.

yes it is combat but thts not how your making money. killing something and getting money from the drops is combat based gp, regardless of if you use the herbs or sell them, the money came from combat, not herblore. elucin8er, perhaps for people with low agility greens may be better than blues, or maybe you're right either way. Nice thing with blues though is that I don't get annoyed by noob PKers who only hang out in low levels of wild, and I still make 300-400k worth of drops each hour (gotta put the 70k addy darts to good use somehow).

aside from the stupidity in not putting this in the thread about limparse (there a reason for 2?), your point isn't very good. Just because a show is on TV doesn't mean parents let their kids watch it. I know several parents who don't let their children watch the Simpsons because they don't feel it is appropriate. When parents let their kids play Runescape they expect a clean environment, so Jagex has a duty to give childrens' parents what they want.

firemaking is faster. can you get 750k exp per hour in it? lol my thoughts exactly... I've never heard ANYBODY claim numbers even CLOSE to 750k xp an hour in any other skill.

herblore is good money if you gather herbs yourself, but then isn't that combat getting you the money, not the herbs? If you're buying supplies, you can make some good gp, but unless you get lucky (as many sellers of unids are not trustworthy) you're just going to break even unless you gather some of the stuff yourself. When I was buying herbs, I gathered seconds in between herb sellers, that way I wasn't wasting any time. As for top 5 skills for money, I'd say: 1: Rune Mining 2: Nature Runecrafting 3: Ranging blues (if you have 70 agility) 4: Slayer 5: Crafting (if you know what you're doing and don't buy hides)

This is odd btw (on a computer other than my own) I already answered this... I never said you couldn't get faster xp in fletching than that... obviously rune would be faster than addy if you felt like spending 5-10 times as much I should mention that charge may have been faster... I never used it, as I felt it was obviously not how Jagex intended the spell to be used, and a waste of 30m gp (what it would've cost me for 99 whenever I checked). u seriously got 750k xp in one hour with addy darts ur a god!!! 8) woa man u can get 99 fletching in like a day 8) :P no, i got 1.2-1.3m xp in an hour and 40 minutes (including the time to walk to KBD) -- that's just the hourly rate I estimated. walk to kbd? wat do u mean by that? I did the last dart at the King Black Dragon. He and I had a little party. I felt bad that he never gets to go to any level parties :P (at least not for noncombat skills)

As for "taking things out of context" -- are you implying that immature children are going to act any differently on the forums than on the game? P.S. Reading WAS my lowest score when I took the ACT, while I got a 36 (perfect) on the English section... go fig :roll: :roll: But thanks for noticing my use of proper grammar ;)
