  1. I'm about to train my construction skill up and redo parts of my house, and add a dungeon. I've never had a dungeon or throne room in my house before, so I am wondering if I turn PvP mode on in my house and leave, will it still be on when I return? Or do I have to manually turn it on every time I enter my house? I'm trying to determine where I should build my throne room based on this.
  2. Happy birthday :D

  3. Yeah, Firefox 3.6 seems to have a lot of bugs that weren't in previous versions. I had the same problem with the MicroHelper, and it won't load the game correctly for me. When I'm playing RuneScape, it puts scroll bars on the game window, which covers up part of the game, and messes up where the game thinks I'm clicking. I recommend you downgrade to Firefox 3.5.8 for a while. This fixes the problem.
  4. The Plain of mud sphere isn't in the items database. Members? Yes Quest? No Tradeable? No Stackable? Yes Examine: Oldak's Marvellous Moving-Over-Distance Sphere. Weight: 0.00 kg Category: Other Sub-category: Other High Alchemy: 12 gp Low Alchemy: 8 gp Location: Buy it from Oldak, in the northwest corner of Dorgesh-Kaan Uses: One-click teleport to the Plain of Mud dungeon, located just outside of the Fishing Guild. Notes: After completing the Land of the Goblins quest, you can buy this from Oldak for two law runes and one molten glass. When used, it will teleport you to a random spot in the Plain of Mud dungeon. Links: Another Slice of H.A.M., Land of the Goblins, Goblin dungeon Credits: Dzfunk64
  5. Wow, that was fast! :) The bestiary still isn't working properly though. Is that going to require an update now, or have you just not gotten around to that one yet?
  6. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean or anything... It was just a small joke because it seems like it takes a really long time for admins to reply in this forum, and I didn't want to problems to be ignored. Good to finally know that you're at least aware of the problems now.
  7. Fixed and thank you! 8-) What about all of the other problems? Can we expect those to be fixed in the next few months? ...or years? The problem with the bestiary should be able to be fixed without an update, even. Right now it really isn't even usable, so that's something that needs to get fixed ASAP. Same problem with the suggestions thread. I still haven't seen a comment about whether or not any of my ideas are being considered for the next update.
  8. I've found a couple problem with the Microhelper: 1. If you're viewing a monster's page in the bestiary, and try to search for another monster, an error page appears. The error page is all black, with black text, but if you highlight it, you can read: Notice there is an e missing in the word bestiary, in the URL. Just fix that typo and it should work fine. 2. If you search for a username that doesn't exist (in the stats window), it will say, "verdana." It should say something like, "Not found." 3. The scroll bar on the planners windows doesn't match the scroll bar in all of the other windows. Instead of it being the RuneScape-style scroll bar, it will be your browser's default scroll bar.
  9. I would keep playing for a few months, but I think it would start to get boring after a while. Without updates, RuneScape would actually have an end, making it like any other video game. I wouldn't quit forever, but I would probably play a lot less, and I would probably be less motivated to train my character.
  10. Pure Pwnage is one of my favorite shows. It's hilarious, especially the episodes with FPS Doug. I've downloaded the first five episodes onto my PSP, and plan on downloading the rest when I have time to (they take a long time to download).
  11. This guide is very old, and most of the information in it is either wrong or outdated. Instead of trying to find and correct every little thing that's wrong, I have made new guides for both of these mini-games. I think you should keep them separate since they are two different mini-games. Since the guides are so big I will hide them. Here are the guides: [hide=Fight Cave] Introduction The TzHaar Fight Cave is the hardest challenge in RuneScape so far. In this mini-game you will have to fight hundreds of monsters, ranging from level 22 all the way up to level 702. Before attempting this mini-game, you should make sure you have plenty of time because this mini-game can take up to three hours to complete. If, at any time during the mini-game, you want to log out you can do so by clicking the log out button once. When you do that, you will get a message in your chat box saying that you will be logged out after you complete the wave of monsters youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re currently on. When you log back in you will be in the Fight Cave and you can continue where you left off. It is recommended that you use caution when logging out late in this mini-game since your prayer will be deactivated when you log in, and you could get hit by a monster before you have a chance to turn your Prayer back on. To complete this mini-game, you will need very good melee and range skills, as well as a high Prayer level. It is strongly recommended that you have at least level 70 Attack, Strength, Defence and Range, and at least level 60 Prayer. Obviously, the higher level these skills are, the easier it will be for you to complete this mini-game. You must have level 70 Attack and Defence to wear full Guthan armour and you must have at least level 70 Range to equip the crystal bow and black dragonhide armour - all of these items are strongly recommended in this guide. Supplies ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s best to have the following items equipped when entering the fight cave: Helmet: Guthan Body: Guthan Legs: Guthan Weapon: Guthan Gloves: Barrows Boots: Ranger, climbing or rune. Cape: Obsidian, achievement cape or legendsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ cape Necklace: Amulet of fury or amulet of glory Ring: Berserker or archer (if you can afford them) ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a little hard to tell you what to bring in your inventory, since it will be different for everyone. What you should bring heavily depends on your levels. Some people will need more super restore potions, while some donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t need as many but need more Saradomin brews instead. Some people may need to bring a range potion to hit well on TzTok-Jad, while others hit well without it. Here are the items recommended for most players, you can make slight changes as needed for your levels: Black Dragonhide top Black Dragonhide bottom Neitiznot helm or Proselyte helmet 15 Super restore potions (4 doses) 1 Range potion (4 doses) 3 Saradomin brews (4 doses) 4 Tuna potatoes 2 Crystal bows (10\10) or KarilÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s crossbow with at least 3000 boltracks The Monsters Tz-Kih Combat level: 22 Hitpoints: 10 Attack styles: Melee Although this enemy is the lowest leveled monster in this mini-game, you shouldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t ignore it. This enemy will take 1 Prayer point away from you every time it attacks you, even if it doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t do any damage to you. It attacks pretty quickly too, so it can drain your Prayer quickly. Tz-Kek Combat level: 45 Hitpoints: 20 Attack styles: Melee These arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t a threat to you at all, so you should save them for last if youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re being attacked by multiple enemies. If you attack them with Melee you will lose one hitpoint every time you hit them. You can easily avoid this by attacking them with Range, or, if you have full GuthanÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s armour, you can attack them with Melee and possibly be healed. When you kill this monster, two smaller, orange enemies will spawn in its place. These new enemies are both level 22, and they will not burn you if you attack them with Melee (making them a great enemy to use Guthan's armour on to refill some HP). Tok-Xil Combat level: 90 Hitpoints: 40 Attack styles: Melee and range This enemyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s main attack style is range, but it may use Melee attacks once in a while if you get too close. Players with higher Defence levels probably wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t want to waste Prayer on these, but if your Defence level is only about 70 you may need to. This monster can attack you from very far distances - a lot further than you can see - so be careful! Yt-MejKot Combat level: 180 Hitpoints: 80 Attack styles: Melee This enemy is big, and hits very hard (up to 25), but can be trapped very easily. When you see one of these coming, try to get it trapped, then take care of any other enemies before worrying about these. Just be careful not to accidentally go out into an open area where these guys can attack you. Ket-Zek Combat level: 360 Hitpoints: 160 Attack styles: Melee and magic As soon as you see the odd-colored Yt-MejKot (180) turn protect from magic on immediately! This monster can hit around 50 with both Melee and magic attacks, so you need to have protect from magic on whenever one of these is in the cave. Like the Tok-Xils, this monster can attack from very far distances, so donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t wait until you can see them to use prayer. TzTok-Jad Combat level: 702 Hitpoints: 312 Attack styles: Melee, magic and range The final and strongest monster in this mini-game - good thing there is only one of it! TzTok-Jad uses all three types of attacks, and can one-hit kill anyone with any of them (even if you have 99 HP). When you kill the odd-colored Ket-Zek (360), you need to prepare for TzTok-Jad, because TzTok-Jad will appear shortly after you defeat the odd-colored Ket-Zek. When TzTok-Jad appears he will attack you right away with either a range or magic attack. He can attack from very far distances, so itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s best to have auto-retaliate and run turned on, so you will automatically run to him. Attack him with range and always have your prayer menu up so you can switch prayers quickly. If you need to do something on another menu (drink a potion, heal, etc.) wait until he uses a magic attack. As soon as you see heÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s about to use a magic attack turn protect from magic on then do what you need to do as quickly as possible and switch back to the prayer menu. You probably shouldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t switch menus when TzTok-Jad uses a range attack since you wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have as much time to prepare. Here is a description of TzTok-JadÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s attacks: Range attack: TzTok-Jad will stand up on his back two legs then slam down quickly. Magic attack: TzTok-Jad will stand up on his back two legs, but will go up and back a lot more than with his range attack, then he will spit out a magic attack at you. When you get him down to half health, four healers (level 108) will appear. They look like small Yt-MejKots (180s), and will heal him back to full health unless you distract them. Right after you switch prayers to protect from TzTok-JadÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s attack, click to attack one of them. Keep doing this until youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve attacked all four healers. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t kill them though, because theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll just respawn when he gets down to half health again. After youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve attacked each of them, theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll start attacking you instead of healing TzTok-Jad. If you can, just let them attack you. If theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re hurting you too much, then run through TzTok-Jad right after you switch prayers to protect from his attack. This will trap them behind TzTok-Jad. Now just continue fighting TzTok-Jad until heÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s dead. Tips - Kill the level 22 Tz-Kihs first, since they will drain your prayer. Then go after the Tok-Xils since theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re the ones who will do the most damage to you (Yt-MejKots (180s) can be trapped and Ket-Zeks (360s) canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t hurt you when youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re using prayer as long as you stay away from them). Next go after the Ket-Zeks so you donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t waste too much prayer. The rest arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t much of a threat, so handle them in any order you want to. - Some people say that listening to the sounds is a better way to determine TzTok-Jad's attacks. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t try this, it will only mess you up. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a lot harder to listen to the sound effects than it is to watch his feet. - Drink a super set (super attack potion, super strength potion and super defence potion) before going into the Fight Cave. This will make a lot of the first waves a lot easier. If you have completed the quest Another Slice of H.A.M., use the ancient mace to get your prayer up an extra 10-15 points before entering the cave. - If you have a lower Prayer level, substitute some of the tuna potatoes for super restore potions. If you have a higher Prayer level you can bring less super restores, and bring extra tuna potatoes or Saradomin brews instead. - If you slip when switching prayers, and TzTok-Jad hits you really hard (but doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t kill you), the most important thing is to stay calm. As long as you use the correct prayers he canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t hurt you again, so it doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t matter if your HP is low. Just focus on protecting from his attacks, donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t worry about your HP. When you get back to using the correct prayers, you can switch back to your inventory menu and eat a tuna potato or drink a Saradomin brew between each of his attacks to heal yourself. But the most important thing is your prayer, always focus on that! - ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s good to turn your private chat off while playing this mini-game. ThereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s already a lot to do while playing this mini-game, people talking to you can distract you from those things, which could cause you to die. - Once in a while you will see one of the enemies appear who is a different color than it normally is. This means that a new type of enemy will come in the next wave of monsters. So when an odd-colored Tok-Xil appears, it means the first Yt-MejKot will be in the next wave of monsters. - If you bring two crystal bows instead of Karil's crossbow, save one for TzTok-Jad only, and use the other for the rest of the mini-game. Rewards Once you kill TzTok-Jad, you will be teleported out of the Fight Cave and will be rewarded with a fire cape. You will also receive 8000 Tokkul. If you already have a fire cape you will get an extra 8000 Tokkul (for a total of 16,000 Tokkul) instead. If you lose your fire cape you must complete the Fight Cave again to get another. You canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have more than one at a time. Credits Author: Dzfunk64 Last updated: 7-May-2007 [/hide] [hide=Fight Pit] Introduction To play this mini-game just head west from the bank in the TzHaar area, down the hall, and enter the waiting room. The game will start soon after the previous game ends, as long as there is at least two players in the waiting room. When the game begins, everyone standing in the waiting room will be teleported into the fight pit. If you die in the Fight Pit you will keep all of your items, and will be teleported back to the waiting room. How to play ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a very good idea to wear full VeracÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s armour when playing this mini-game since it can ignore your opponentÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s armour and prayer. If you canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t afford full VeracÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s armour, then just wear your best armour and weapons. Remember that you can bring more than one weapon to this mini-game, and itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a good idea to do so since youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll be fighting different types of players. You want to take out the highest level players first since theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re your biggest threat. Be careful though, because players who canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t win this mini-game alone usually team up and take turns winning. So if you help them kill everyone else, youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll probably just end up being their next target. While youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re in the waiting room you can look through the orb to see if there are any teams, or you could use that time to form a team with other players in the waiting room. If the game does not end within a certain amount of time, monsters will appear in the fight pit to make it a little harder. The monsters that appear are the same monsters that are in the TzHaar Fight Cave mini-game. It will start with the level 22 Tz-Kihs, but it wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be long before the high-level, heavy-damage-dealing monsters come. Tips - ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not a very good idea to use magic or range attacks unless you have a team with you. Using magic will make you everyoneÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s number one target because youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re their biggest threat. If you want to use magic, it would be best to use Lunar Magic, so you can support your team without making yourself a target. Range isnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t very effective since everyone is wearing melee armour. - DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t try to hide from everyone, expecting to make it to the final fight. It says how many people are left in the fight pit at the top of the screen, so itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s easy to tell if someone is hiding. As soon as people realize someone is hiding - which wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t take long - everyone will stop fighting and hunt down the people who are hiding. - If youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re having trouble winning, try teaming up with other players. You can help each other kill everyone else, then take turns winning. - Use prayers or potions to boost your attack and strength and defence, and to protect from melee. Your prayer points will be restored when you die. Rewards For winning this game you will get some Tokkul. The amount of Tokkul you receive for winning is equal to everyoneÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s combat level that was in the fight added up. You will only get the Tokkul if you leave the fight pit though (the winner is not teleported out, he\she will remain in the fight pit). If you stay in the fight pit after winning, then die in the next game, you will not get any Tokkul. For winning, you will also get a red skull over your head to show everyone that you were the winner. It only stays above your head as long as youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re in the fight pit and youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re the champion. If you go back into the waiting room or lose a round, it will disappear. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s useless, really, itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s just to show everyone that you won. The name of the player who won the previous game will be displayed at the top of the screen while youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re in the fight pit. Credits Author: Dzfunk64 Last updated: 7-May-2007 [/hide] All of the pictures were taken by me, except the pictures of the monsters for the Fight Cave, which were taken from the Tip.It bestiary.
  12. It depends on what rule is broken and how serious it is. If you get 3 strikes, you're banned forever (unless you submit an appeal and it is accepted). Jagex will send you a message telling you if you have done something worth a strike. You can also tell how close you are by looking at the color of your flag when you log into the 'appeal a ban' section of the website. Green is good, red is bad, yellow is medium. Also, note that you don't always get a strike when you break a rule, and it is possible to get multiple strikes for breaking one rule. Again, it depends on the rule broken, and how you broke it. I hope that answers your question.
  13. Yes, that is against the rules. On the RuneScape forums you are not allowed to post for or about any other players.
  14. No, that's just a scam. The only way you can get trimmed armour is from the Treasure Trails mini game.
