    my experience : i've got a high end 19"CRT monitor (IIyama vision master pro 454) this is one of the best monitors around for home and office use and for picture quality u can't beat that with flatscreens. my second monitor is a 17" siemens monitor and it costs equally as much as my high end CRT. IF the size and weight of the CRT are of NO importance i would get a very good CRT, otherwise u might wanna consider a flatscreen.
