    Today...

I started university this week as well. Now I'm finally home again after a nice first week. It feels ages ago since I've been here, I think I only slept one night here in all of September.

    Today...

Hi guys, I'm back. Got back from my eurotrip on Wednesday and it was such an amazing experience. I won't say much about Amsterdam, except that it's a bit blurry. Berlin was a beautiful city with a lot of sights to see (after 4 days we still hadn't seen everything) and with a vibrant nightlife. Prague is a wonderful city, was my personal favourite. We met a local there who showed us two amazing places to eat, and we went to a crazy club one night after sharing a bottle of absinth. It's a special drink, absinth, gets you drunk in a completely different way if drunk by its own. Combined with other alcohols it just gets you drunk. Vienna was a nice city as well, but coming from Prague it was kind of underwhelming. We did visit a lot of churches there, which was a nice change of pace from the constant walking around. Bratislava was much more beautiful than I expected, but it was really small as well. One night there we met a bunch of Irishmen there who happened to have their room in the hostel right beside us, and they showed us their Irish way of drinking: mixing all the bottles of liquor on the table into one disgusting drink that gets you [bleep]ed up. So much more happened on the trip but I don't want to bore you all with a whole book of a post. The last two days I was at a small festival about 20 mins from here. It was great to go there right after that long trip, because it was a good opportunity to see a lot of people back that I hadn't seen in a while.

    Today...

Today's a stressy day, gotta get everything in order for our Eurotrip, for which we leave tomorrow morning. It's insane how fast this summer's come and gone, and now we're suddenly leaving for the trip we've been looking forward to for years.

Last day of work today. Now I have another week of complete holidays before we leave on our trip.

That's what I thought too, but the hangover didn't even come with a delay or anything, I've felt fine all day. And it wasn't because I'd drunk water before I went to bed because just the thought of drinking anything at that point made me sick.

    Today...

Last night I got incredibly drunk. Nothing too special happened, but I did discover I'm hangover resistant. Despite how bad I felt last night I woke up feeling pretty good today. The only bad side effect is that everything I drink tastes bad, which sucks since I'm always thirsty the next morning. Otherwise there's not much else to say. I've been enjoying my summer so far, and the best is yet to come. My three best friends and our parents are coming together tomorrow to discuss the trip we'll be taking in September. We'll be gone by ourselves for over two weeks so it makes sense they want to get together and discuss everything a bit. And I've got two more work days at McDonald's this summer before I'm done with that as well.
  7. Malibu and fanta is always a great combination. I also enjoy mixing vodka, like with sprite or red bull. Good ole' beer is always fun, but I always feel bloated if I only drink beer all night, and feeling bloated while being wasted is not such a good combination, so I try not to do that if possible. Otherwise there's this liquor we have here in Belgium called jenever, which is usually around 20% alc. content and has all kinds of tastes varying from apple to vanilla to coconut and whatever the hell's in between. Apple's the usual favorite.

I wanna try chicken and waffle chips now. Just how. Anyway, nothing interesting happening in my life. Had the busiest day I've had so far at work. Since it's a holiday there's a lot of tourists in this town, and they all decided to go to McDonald's. Not a bit of rest during the whole day, while there are usually multiple calm hours in an afternoon. On the other hand, because it's a holiday I get paid double so score.

I'd really like to see pictures of that when it's done, it sounds awesome. Anyway, haven't been up to much myself lately. Worked a bunch, and afterwards hung out with friends a lot. A few days ago my friend and I booked everything for the trip we'll be taking in September and we've struck up a bunch of bargains and made the whole thing much cheaper than we had predicted it at a first browse. For a trip of about 17 days in which we visit 5 major cities we pay in total for transportation and lodging a measly 381 euros. Considering we had first estimated 630 euros I'm real glad.

Yeah, if you have exposed keys just make sure to always lock it before you put your cellphone away and you won't have any problems. I had the same concern when I bought my current cellphone because all my older cellphones had been slides, and this one had exposed keys but it doesn't bother me at all. I think the keys do get damaged a bit overtime though, because I feel that sometimes it gets a bit harder to press a key now. Anyway, I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy with work. I'm back at McDonald's, but they moved me from the kitchen last summer to be at the cash register. It's so stressful, and it gets tiring having to stand up in the same small area all day, but time feels like it's going faster most of the time because I'm constantly busy and the atmosphere between the employees is friendly which makes it more bearable. All in all, it's not that bad. I've also found a place to live next year while studying. Perfectly located, a 5 min walk from my faculty and from the nightlife, there's a concert venue/cultural centre right next door which has a lot of awesome stuff happening it and there's so much different kinds of food I can buy from all around me. I'm looking forward to finally moving in and making it my own.

Another peak in guests, it seems. I wonder what triggers that stuff. Anyway, had my first day of work this summer yesterday. I'm back at McDonald's except this year I'll be at a cash register instead of in the kitchen. Afterwards I went to a friend's house to celebrate his birthday together with a bunch of friends, that was good fun too.

Going to Ghent tomorrow to find an apartment to live in during the school weeks next year. I'm curious what I'll be seeing.

    Today...

Those were a very interesting five days. What I didn't mention before I left is that Dour Festival is known around Belgium for being a paradise for drugs. It lived up to its reputation: I've seen people looking for LSD and people selling it, along with a selection of random drugs, someone trying to trade his ketamine for some MDMA, people sniffing coke on the festival site, etc. I'm thinking the percentage of totally sober people there was about 5-10%, everyone else was under the influence of whatever drug they felt like. The festival itself was really hot, and since we had to spend most of our afternoons on the camping with barely any shade it made things really hard for us. Good thing we had hippie neighbours who didn't mind letting us sit on their shade covered spot after they left the camping site, usually in the early afternoon. I've never sweat as much as I did there, even just sitting still in the sun had pearls of sweat forming on my chest. I haven't showered since I left on Wednesday by the way, I must smell like shit. We didn't see that many artists (the heat played a part in that), and the ones we did see ranged from meh to great. In the last category I'd put Sub Focus, The Smashing Pumpkins, As I Watch You From Afar (I also discovered post rock while there), Skindred (at least the last 10 minutes since we had come from a different artist we wanted to see) and Alborosie. Now to adapt back to the normal life.

This is where I'll be for the next 5 days. Really looking forward to it. Should be one of the highlights of this summer. Now to go pack.

    Today...

Time for an update on my life I guess. Don't expect anything too special though. My family from Canada is visiting right now, and we travelled to Southern France together, so that's where I'm at now. The weather on the first day was great but since it's been storming everyday which sucks because the house we rented is pretty awesome, it even has a pool, but it's not much use in this weather. We go back to Belgium on Saturday, and then my friends and I leave to Dour Festival on Wednesday, which we've been looking forward to for months.

Beaches are awesome. But I live 10 minutes away from one by bike, and unless it's extremely hot (doesn't happen a lot here) it's not that crowded. Great place to just sit with friends.

[bleep], I missed the page for my birth year. Anyway, hi everybody. Just checking in I guess.

    Today...

I've now officially graduated high school. Our band (featuring one of our friends on piano) played a cover of at our graduation ceremony, and people were really happy about it. Some even said it was the best performance out of three at the ceremony, which I'm incredibly happy to hear because all three the songs were at a really high level. And I also got a lot of compliments on my singing, way more than I ever excepted. All of which made me really happy before I left out on the town to drink. Now I'm back, and feeling pretty satisfied. Now for three months of summer holidays. Awesome.

You know how I work summers at McDonald's? I just saw one of the people who works above me share a porn image of Phineas & Ferb on Facebook. I've always thought he was weird but what the hell.

    Today...

Yesterday I had my last exam as a high school student (that's if I don't need to redo any of them, which I strongly doubt). Celebrated by spending all day at the beach in not so nice weather, and then going to Bruges and staying up all night at a party. Now it's time for summer, and having all the time in the world and no responsibilities for just a few months.
  21. The sun. In the summer at least, when the sun actually gives some heat instead of hanging there in the sky taunting us while we freeze to death.

    Today...

Jet skiing is awesome, I remember doing it with some friends a few summers back. Was the first time I'd reached 100 km/h myself, felt so exhilarating. Anyway, survived the night and the subsequent day. First time I actually pull an all-nighter and manage to stay awake all day (though it got rough at times). The test went pretty well so I'm happy. Now to go to bed early.

    Today...

It's 7:10 am here. Just got out of the shower. Didn't see my bed tonight. It's actually the first time I stay awake all night to study (and I doubt it'll be my last), and while it's my own stupid fault for procrastinating it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Hell, I actually kind of enjoyed it a bit, and I'm feeling pretty good right now too, instead of the usual tiredness after a short night's sleep. Stay updated for my crash later today, I guess.

    Today...

It's that time of year again: I've got my Latin exam tomorrow (or should I say, later). I'm still really ill-prepared, and looking at an all-nighter. On the bright side, it should be the last one of my life, and my grades for Latin have been good so far this year so I doubt I'll fail or anything. After that exam, there's 4 more days of exams for me, but the exam period will be pretty much over for me.

The way I see it, RPG, if you know exactly what you drank the night before you didn't drink enough :P Anyway, 6 more days and school's all over for me. Well, high school at least, I'm still looking at at least 4-5 more years of study afterwards. I've gotten pretty sick of high school though, so I'm still looking forward to a change of scenery like that: different city, different people, different lessons...
