Tip.It Times Presents: Growing Pains
The economy would be far more realistic if a few major clans produced all the goods and payed their members for less to make them than they sell them for, then the clan leadership could make a huge profit and controll 90% of the wealth.

Tip.It Times Presents: Growing Pains
I really hope Jagex sticks to java and doesn't raise the price of membership faster than inflation, otherwise everyone like me who doesn't own their own computer won't be able to play any more, and wont want to pay for memebership. From what I've seen of other MMORPG graphics Runescape's graphics arn't that bad, just different. I gues it's a matter of taste, some people like different graphics from what other people like.

Tip.It Times Presents: Growing Pains
The only thing Jagex needs to do to keep more mature players is have a few updates once in a while aimed at them, like some interesting quests with deep story lines, like the Plague City quest series and the ones in the desert. They actually didn't have quests like that for the first few years that runescape existed, and many came out last year. The only reason there shouldn't be lots of young players is because they're annoying, but its easy to deal with that by turning public chat off. I do think the hunter skill is kind of childish, and so is the anchor. However, I thought Cold War was funny, and I understood the metaphor and enjoyed that aspect of it. I don't think Cold War was aimed at just the younger players because they wouldn't understand what it was about, but I'm sure they also enjoyed the humor. Edit: I thought of a few things that were imature about Cold War, cow bells for example. They could have kept it humorous but also made the story line more of a spy thriller. Another thing Jagex could do to keep its older players and atract new older players would be to not censore the forum so much. It would have been great if there could have been a discussion on the forum about cold war politics when Cold War came out. In Penguin Club does everyone just stand around and say "Fr33 Stuuf Pleex"?

The Dreamweb - my first attempt at fiction in English
I would like to know what food, exactly is being produced, and why it isn't nutritional. The more important comment I made was that the lack of nutritional food wouldn't necessarily have anything to do with people being fat or not. For example, fast food isn't nutritional but it makes people fat.

What Did You Do On Your First Day On Runescape?
It was four years ago, RSC. I just wanted to check everything out so I walked along the road from Lumbridge West to the crafting guild, and then I went South to the maze and got killed by a rat outside the maze. I then went walking around again, and I again got killed by a rat. I think the second time I might have gone to the wild outside of Varrock, and the rats there killed me. Then I went walking aroung again, but I wanted to go back to Lumbridge so I started asking people how to get back to "the first city". That's how I made my first friend, I met someone who agreed to show me around, then he took me to edgville and suggested I fight the men in the house there. I did that for a little while but then I died again. Then I talked to the Duke and he said to mine, so I did some mining and smithing in Al Kharid.

There's a few gramatical errors but otherwise this is extremeley well written. You should get it published. The hidden famine thing is confusing; fat has nothing to do with vitamins. What are they eating?

Weekly Poll: Which RuneScape god do you follow?
I follow the dragonkin, who created the universe and use their awesome power to sustain it. Seren is also really cool, and so is Zaros. Of the three gods in the polls I like Zamorak the best because I like red and black, and Saradomin stinks because he is like the Judeo-Christian God.

Tip.It Times Presents: It's All About The Levels
I play the same way as the editor for the same reasons, except that I spend lots of time doing things; I figured out how to not get bored. I listen to the radio or read. I also have a problem with the emo thing, I kind of like emo music, although it isn't my favorite. But what he said was very prejudiced.

Tip.It Times Presents: On Beggars and Begging...
There is a big difference between Runescape and real life. Runescape IS fair. Everyone starts with the same opportunity; the same stats and same items. In real life people have inredibly different opportunites. Some people are born to a rich family, and are given averything they'll need for their whole life, and a lot more. Others are born to a homeless family. There is very little chance for anyone born poor to become rich, and very little chance that anyone born rich will be poor.

Tip.It Times Presents: Cooking: A Skill of its Own
All of those ideas are horrible, except for the one for a food that restores energy. For that they should make it so we can do something with strange fruits, like in this week's postbag. That would be good, and people would probably use it, especially if it restored lots of energy. I agree with sligo, an artistry skill would be really cool. Especially if it was linked to construction. "here is a food item suggestion...angel food cake...restores prayer!" I like that!

Tip.It Times Presents: I hate Jagex and Jagex hates me!
I talk to my friends about politics, not on the forums. it's a shame people don't talk about the important issues more, democracy depends on a market of ideas. I find the garbage that the corporate media puts out far more offensive than any bad language, so I would really prefer that people talk about issues rather than getting their news from the corporate media. Bad language is appropriate when it makes sense in the context of the sentence.

Tip.It Times Presents: Different Strokes for Different Folks
The author forgot about a kind of rs relationship when he mentioned the romantic ones. The players who try to have "romantic" relationships in rs, even though they have never met the person in real life and never will. That is pathetic and anoying, I'm especially anoyed by it when people ask me to be their "boyfirend". That's why most players respond negativeley to rs 'romances"

Tip.It Times Presents: English: Its Proper Form
I had a professor who said a language that doesn't evolve is a dead language from a dead culture. The invention of new words is vital to the progression of society.
