  1. This is probably the single-best GIF anyone has ever made for a good reason. I'm feeling a bit better now. I'm sure someone here could use a hug. Hugs for everyone!
  2. I hate to go ranting about my life, since recent posts point out that Cow and Nekyia have it objectively worse, and I'm sure quite a few others here as well. But it's 3 am and I can't sleep, which is normal and my reaction varies from "I know I should be in bed but I have a poor sleep schedule and don't need to be up before noon tomorrow later today anyways" and "it's 3 am and I should really be in bed several hours ago since I need to be out of bed at 8 tomorrow." Guess which one this falls in. Yup. Gotta be outta bed at 8 tomorrow, yay. Anyways I feel very worked up since there's a bunch of stuff on my mind right now. So I typed up a short little rant, and I'm gonna post it here since I want to get feedback on it but I'm, quite frankly, a little too scared to show it to the people in my life that it's about. And also you'll probably learn a bit about my life (more then I should tell people online, but whatever if I was a smart person I'dve gone to bed like 4 hours ago) and maybe a few questions. Well here goes (warning wall of text): [hide] [/hide]
  3. I take public transit enough to see that there's a fair bit of difference between high-school-age kids and community college students: there's maybe a two year gap between them at most, but you don't see the older ones swearing at the bus driver/older(/female) passengers and bragging about all the drugs they're going to do. Same kind of thing? Agreeing that aging isn't some magic process, seems like the main thing is the experience. Graduating high school can be a huge kick in the ass for people not already mature. Suddenly you're faced with "what am I gonna do with my life" which is ignorable in high school. I know I just brushed that aside and didn't think about it. And any high schooler whose main focus in life is partying, sex and drugs probably hasn't seriously thought about it, regardless of whether or not they claim to have thought about it. Beyond high school, growing up is something is something you need to go out and do. Something you need to push for and seek. In high school, people push you forward and try and keep you from falling. There's not a whole lot of that going on post-high school. I'm sorry what? I generally consider someone who does hard drugs someone who doesn't have their shit together.
  4. This is kind of my point. A person "growing up" and becoming professional has, in my opinion, very little to do with age. I dunno. I guess it's just... maybe it's just my life, but I feel like society expects people to have a birthday at a certain age and magically turn into an adult. Boom you're 18 now figure out how to pay taxes and your medical insurance and what you want to do in life and start doing it. K, no, this is definitely just a rant about my own life.
  5. Age is just a number. Except for the high US legal drinking age, I'd say after 20 just round it to the nearest 5 because it really doesn't matter that much.
  6. I never said they're good attacks. (Although they might be.) It's just a full attack uses all your limbs holding weapons and natural attacks and if you get pounce you can charge then use a full attack... tl:dr I swear it's not broken! :^o
  7. Please just ignore the fact that I might have eight attacks at 6th level.
  8. How are summoners, anyway? They look interesting but I keep hearing that they have the potential to be utterly game-breaking. Pretty sure they have that potential. That being said, pretty sure a wizard is more game breaking if you build him right. The thing about the summoner is, at least so far, it's basically giving me two characters to play. Each of them (so far - I'm only lvl 2) seem slightly below average characters. I've got a puny mage (from my experience, at lvl 1 mages are pretty terrible) and a decent fighter, essentially. (By fighter I mean melee user not the class)
  9. Oh wow I just got that. UNRELATED: So, I'm playing Pathfinder (basically D&D) and I'm playing a summoner, so I have this creature I can summon and evolve and stuff. And by evolve I mean extra arms and stuff. So at some point he(she? it?) will be basically a winged centaur with four arms each holding a sword and two tentacles for natural attacks. His battle plan is flying charge into the foe, followed by attacking the foe with his four swords and two wings and two tentacles. Because reasons. Someone draw that plz UNRELATED: Oh and it's snowing here too but here is Canada so I'm like sweet, home expansion on the igloo. It'll be tough work, lemme get my shorts and t shirt.
  10. Yeah I have a friend who pointed out a while ago that pokemon descriptions make much more sense when you realize 10 year olds probably wrote them. I mean, aren't most pokemon trainers elementary school dropouts anyways?
  11. Holy [bleep]. That's just... ugh. Dunno how to react =/ Glad you're okay ;-;
  12. Every time I see an "auto correct" pic where it gets autocorrected to something terrible (worse one I saw corrected sock to a letter that can make an 's' sound but not always...) I feel like they're fake since I feel like somebody would get sued if autocorrect was programmed to correct stuff to profanity and/or genitals.
  13. Not cute. You know all of them are internally screaming "kill me"
  14. Source: http://www.lego.com/en-us/movie/explore/characters/unikitty I can't make that up.
  15. So I get to watch the Lego Movie on Feb 9. Which disappoints me because I think we should watch it before it officially comes out on the 7th but whatever.
