My two cents is that if the only reason you're doing it is to get the lumberjack outfit, temple trekking is not worth it. I did the math, and for me, to get to 99 wc from 73 would take about 66,000 yews. With full lumberjack, it would take about 64,000 yews. In theory, since I will level faster, if my goal was to cut 66k yews, I would be able to do that faster as well with full lumberjack. However, there are lots of other rewards in Temple Trekking too. Watermelon seeds for farming, silver bars for carfting, iron and coal. The events can give you snakehides for crafting, nail beast nails for herblore, etc. If you're well rounded in the game, I think the temple trekking is a fun minigame with lots of useful rewards. Mostly, I'm going for the full lumberjack outfit because I see so few of them.

I'm 104 CB (Well, I was when I went in, came out 105 - woot!), and did the whole thing with netziot, rune plate, d legs, whip, rune kite, addy boots (someday I'll get around to buying some rune boots). I used the whole super set, but didn't use any restores. I ate 5 tuna potatoes. No attack style other than the whip defensive slash. Really, it was quite easy.

I have decided that RS players are in general the whiniest people on earth. The game is jagex's to develop. With the ever increasing numbers of subscribers, it is clear that they are succeeding in attracting and keeping ever larger numbers of players. They are never going to keep 100% of players happy. Many of the minor rants in this thread never bother me. (For example, those complaing about start up music - doesn't your comuter have a mute button?) The fact that they want to enforce a rule about not wasting jagex's bandwidth is a problem for some of you? That is outrageous. Anyone who wants to set up a mirror server and pay for all the bandwidth to host the sig files is more than welcome to. Unless you want to pay for it yourself, what gives you the right to complain that someone else doens't want to. Remember people, Jagex is made up of people. People who's jobs and families depend on Jagex making money. Jagex has an obligation to provide for those people first. Some of your arguments are like saying "I don't understand why Coca-Cola doesn't give all people who drink Coke free Coke, then people would like it more." It's a business people. If you don't like it, don't play. I have been playing now for only about 15 months, and every day, there are new challenges for me. If I get bored with it, I'll stop playing, and stop paying. Frankly, I am amazed at the overall quality and features in a game that is available to play for free, and the p2p version for $5 a month is truly a wonder. Stop complaining about trivial little items.

I don't "strive" to balance. My primary goal is Slayer (currently lvl 76), and I'm also trying to finish all the quests. Those two goals make for a lot of balance on their own. Until a quest requires firemaking above 52 or until all my other lvls are 99, I will not burn another log. I still haven't figured out the firemaking skill.

No, it's your math that's not that good. 140x110 = 15,400 gp, which would buy him 770 rune ess at 20 each. meaning he'll wind up with 770 rune ess for his original 2,000 gp, or less than 3gp per ess. A very good deal.

Nevermind. Got a clue this morning on basically my first kill since I posted this message. Very high coincidence.

I was getting a clue scroll from about 1 out 100 kills of clue dropping creatures. I died with a clue a 4 weeks ago. I haven't gotten a clue since. I have killed literally 1000's of clue droppers without a clue. I have triple checked my bank. I have no clues. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm with Gildog. You guys are a bunch of whiners. Keep in mind that the "f" in "f2p" means free. I have never seen so much whining about something that is free. 11 hours a day (average) every day, at $30 an hour, plus overtime (which I would hope an elec. engineer would get), over the last 21 months would mean he would have earned $263,000 ACTUAL dollars if he had gotten a job instead of Runescape. I like the game and all, but LOOOO-HOOO-SER!
