  1. Completionist trim goals seem to be a side goal for me in terms of game completion. The main goals I have are generally a well rounded character in all perspectives of the game ranging from personal knowledge/skill (how to effectively kill a monster, rolls, knowledge of an area), in game skills and area completion and lastly a completion of the bank. Right now I'm working on the last two and yet are fairly complex and hard to describe. Generally they are to have a supreme PVMers bank and to be well stocked and ready for the next PVM update.
  2. Nope I don't care about myself as far as this is concerned. My main concern is consistence with respect to the game and its mechanics. We know that it is an ever-evolving game and granted having these rollbacks would play nicely with that concept it makes it too easy for longstanding players to get get an unfair advantage on new content. All players should be starting this new content with relatively equal ground. I mean wow if you got a stockpile of tokens of any sort then congratulations to you for your efforts to save them instead of spending them on *relatively* worthwhile rewards. For the players who just broke bank with their tokens and bought rewards based on current trends I feel for you, but you should know logging in that things change and they happen to not be in your favor. Hell I'll even make it personal - I bought pernix post ascension dungeon when they were still dropping and still lost money. I also bought virtus pre-vorago and its still crashing. I'm not whining about both of these. I am objective to the whole market effect. If I lose money then its nothing. The only problem is if I lost if unfairly or if I lose it outright by a scam, hack or unable to get back to a grave (and everyone feels that way so its mutual).
  3. 3 runs tonight because I work early today and got a draconic visage. This is my second one running qbd: 63/400m for torva.
  4. I think he might have been thinking of how people might be more conscious of the buff display, resizeable minimap and the ability to keep a powers window up! I am an avid vorago pvmer and the action bar only lets me adequately put up my basics, defensives and other necessities. I frequently open the powers window to use thresholds or guthix's blessing during p1 to heal up a bit.
  5. Can anyone spot the imp in that picture?
  6. If its possible then its always an option. Ring resets are an even better option than rollbacks because they don't effect anyone negatively. They also don't require the massive amount of work that returning lost items does with checking each account. No, sorry I really do think you are mistaken in this context. No, I don't think he is. Who would a ring reset have effected negatively? How would it have required a massive amount of work? Ring resets would be fine if they were there from the beginning and functioned essentially the same as selling items back to a shop or something to balance it. However, they're currently being used as a do over for people who've spent their tokens unwisely or to counteract a change in the game which change the value of a commodity the player has purchased. To answer your question, players who make bad decisions outside of dg are being affected negatively as dgers are given a free ride while they must walk. This is not me wanting an eye for an eye, this is about consistency. Either let me reset fist of guthix tokens, tokkul, runecrafting guild tokens, runespan points, barbarian assault honor points and all other currencies, or let people deal with their purchases just like it's always been. As for the amount of work, I'm pretty sure that he was referring to the fact that he doesn't agree on it being a good idea in general. Wow hes done it again :D. Yes, exactly, again, what I see is the case. They aren't resetting my livid farm points either...
  7. Yeah and I agree completely there... Fail massacre *shakes head* I do believe some people got their items back, but only the insanely wealthy. They really were dicks on that one though.

  9. I still stand my ground that people think rollbacks and resets are an option instead of what they really are to jagex: an exception.
  10. Lol someone gets it! Again it was clearly about letting players getting a good foothold on new content. It's not about setting and keeping a standard of having the option to offer resets. It's like when jagex said they didn't have the ability to return lost items to players who got hacked, dced, etc. Then magically they now put up the offer to do these services they said they couldn't in the past. Again, frankly it is all about having a very big and important reason to doing these things. And it's probably the fact that these were extremely giant losses to players with jagex being clearly at fault when try decided to return items. Resets and rollbacks seem to be looked at by the player base as an option when it is clearly viewed by jagex as an exception. There is a big difference between the two. Options operate within the boundaries of their rules while exceptions are just that - they operate outside the rules for fairly obvious reasons.
  11. ...Uh, isn't flat-out changing some of the effects a good enough reason to give us another reset? Frankly, no! The last reset was in part due to jagex wanting players to have a clearly placed and well put foothold in their skills community. They knew it was going to be a community based skill so it was worth doing. Now the skill has matured and players clearly know where they are, where they should be and where they are going. If you are afraid that you might get better perks from the task list then done use your tokens on upgrades. Simply put! As I said before the last reset was due to some poor wording on the class effects.
  12. The whole elf plot in terms of the antagonists is so interesting yet has so little in terms of supporting evidence in lore that I think some things will be redone or retconned.
  13. Honestly until jagex can more appropriately take off artistically with html5 it shouldn't be considered such a monumental piece to rs3. And when that does I would expect html5 to be a lot much further than just an experimental piece to your browser. I also consider NIS as being at least 2/5 of rs3. Divination and the soon to be released world events being another 2/5. Html5 is just for show just as my has "runescape HD". Granted I greatly enjoy resizeable mode, but that has no great bearing on my gameplay other than maybe PVM.
  14. Go dung for more tokens to upgrade. You don't need another reset. The only reason you got one in the first place was due to some bad wording of the class effect on the ring.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a way in ports to augment the armour to t90 for a few hours. Kind if like how paying to repair chaotics are... Out of 100% of the cost the body: 40%, legs: 30%, head: 15%, gloves 7.5%, and boots 7.5%. Imagine new resources for each set and suppose it takes 50 resources?
  16. So many people thinking html5 is either: A. The biggest piece of the rs3 release. Or B. Doesn't read the news that its being hens in beta. I just want to punch someone in the face. Why can't I get what I WANT? Don't whine about nt getting html5 if I can't punch you in the face. Edit: pointedly speaking...
  17. My suggestions: Description: Chop a cravecreeper log, fletch it into a gravecreeper wand or staff, imbue it into an empowered catalytic staff or wand and defeat the boss. Levels required to complete: 90 woodcutting, 99 runecrafting, 98 fletching Other content required (if known): none Name: Superior Craftsmanship II Description: mine 5 promethium, smelt into bar and smith a prothium two-handed sword then defeat the boss. Levels required to complete: 90 mining, 98 smithing Other content required (if known): none Name: Superior Craftsmanship III Description: Chop a gravecreeper log, fletch it into a gravecreeper long or short bow (u), add string. Now mine some promethium ore, smelt and smith it into promethium arrowheads then fletch 20 promethium arrows. Now use your gravecreeper bow and promethium arrows to defeat the boss. Levels required to complete: 90 woodcutting, 91 fletching, 90 mining, 90 smithing Other content required (if known): none
  18. If you use the dev console and put in displayfps it should show how much of the game is downloaded to your computer.
  19. Inb4 jagex's twist on the whole wood elf and night elf mythological segregation. I'm betting the dark lord really isn't going to be all that evil. I'm betting he is probably one of the original gods of the elves.
  20. ORLY? Except I cannot open the console, as I said in my previous post (with some typos tho :P) . Nothing will work!! Not even with the ` button?
  21. The portal in lumbridge woods grew again today as expected and features some green and brown cracks in the ground. There is now another H.A.M. cultist, an elf and a gnome as well as children and other villagers nearby. I suspect this is the last update to the portal before BOL goes live.
  22. open the dev console and type "displayfps" and hit enter.
  23. Honestly I haven't previewed it yet, but I am really interested in the defaults.
  24. Vorago has entirely and thoroughly pissed me off over the past few days. He is easy enough, but the provoke not working, insane effort needed for positioning of the jump and random smashes just get to me. You have to provoke or incite to get smashed yet several times out of the blue I get smashed. Currently using the fc: voragomass and they are the best and have teams running at least 20 hours straight. I am going to take a break and go back to the usual QBD, GWD, duo corp (finding partners takes forever) and glacoring. Maybe automatons... They always disappoint for some reason. My new goal is buying torva. I sold bandos and I'm at 48/400m. With optimal methods I could see it in a couple weeks maybe a month tops. I originally wanted to save for v wand and book, but their necessity coupled with potential price change with seismic coming in game makes for a sketchy buy so I'm holding off. My view is once you buy something for use it should be for a very long term use. So for example the pernix and Virtus armour I have won't ever be sold unless for funds to buy the t90 versions of armour. Next I would love to work on ascension crossbows. I picked torva next because it sees so much more use.
