Go to the runescape reddit, show the newest posts and you'll see a couple threads talking about it. I dont really feel like hunting down all of them.

I see now... I'm not trying to be salty lol. I always saw them both as the same thing, but one as a different more extensive type. I saw stuff like teamviewer as VPNs and the others more as "proxy servers." I don't know why they are both called VPNs though.

They do not do the same thing. And understanding why they are different is critical in understanding the situation as a whole. Well then please let us know what they do and the differences. I've delved into them a bit and it seems as they do. I could be wrong, but please for the sake of the community please enlighten us.

Everyone wants to be a tech guru.. The both do the same thing. The big issue is jagex doesnt like players masking their whereabouts. Thats the downside to VPNs. Regardless of what VPN you are using it is apparently an issue with jagex.

I liked your slayer idea, but i dont see the people of the area as slayers. I wouldnt be surprised to see menaphos as more militarized and sophanem as a protective communal area though.

They have made some vague unrevealing responses in the past regarding mostly account safety. Their main concern at the time seemed to be a breach in their authenticator system. Players who have set their authenticator for their computer for the thirty days are technicallt vulnerable if someone hacks their VPN. They'll no doubtably make a response in kind to this. Player queries have beem largely based around whether it breached any rules. Most of them being around the 1:1 rule.

Ok so unless you have been living under a rock then yu know a lot of players use VPN's specifically for very easily AFKable things such as firemaking, harps, woodcutting, mining, etc. I specifically use them to do my crystal tree, dragon maw, ports and spins daily. Ironically I stopped a few days ago because ive been hooked on this summoners war phone game. But normally you could see me log in using the free version of teamviewer to access my computer and do my dailies after reset. Now what I noticed recently is a lot of people posting on reddit about this recieving bans. Some people are saying certain free VPN's are what gold sellers have been using and this is what has been tripping the botwatch. So now what I'm asking is what the players think? What does jagex have to say about these recent bans? A while back jagex was aware of player useage of VPN's. They seemed to express no concern for VPN use through their lack of reaction to players queries on the subject. So what i am doing is creating a seperate topic for this to prevent discussion flow on other threads. I am also charging everyone here to share information on this and to post relavent links and information here. Thanks for your concern and cooperation.

Your ideas are great additions, but in my opinion they dont connect well with the culture and experiences of the area. I feel that some ideas could be worked in, but i dont see menaphites as slayers or farmers. You definitely have potential as fishers, thieves, crafters, miners and and maybe herbalists.

Nope! Once you've done all the clue voyages, you can repetedly get the last voyage. You won't go through the entire sequence again.Thats relieving...

Clue voyages are annoying... So do i need to redo them from scatch to get the rewards?

Ninja teaser thread is back up and working... We have magic secateurs and watering can that can be added to the toolbelt already so that picture is moot. I'm guessing this is time stamps for the runescape lobby? Its been stated the time stamps will be connected to your local time and not the in game clock.

I dont see menaphos being a high level hub. If anything menaphos will be a niche city and thats the highest hope you could see achieved. They will invent some use for it for mid level players to bridge some usability gaps between other major cities and priff. Whether it be a reimagined one or one of convenience who knows.

Inb4 runescape starts seeing large seemingly stand-alone content being buyable. They already have capabilities with instancing. I wouldn't be surprised seeing medium to large content being developed for a DLC sales point. This type of stuff would most likely be single player pieces at first.

Want to play a in a new immersive continent and experience lost ancient cultures and peoples? That's great... Just pay $5 for access to runescapes eastern lands. Consequently each island after the arc will cost additional charges to progress and explore. Each island is roughly the size of a mainland kingdom which is nothing short of all the content you would normally play in one of those areas. I almost feel that runescape could potentially go the route of "downloadable content" expansions.

When exactly does the quest reset? I mean i can only do it once per qeek to earn silver pennies right?

Better drops... People have been asking for a long time to see some abyssal armour. Maybe abyssal demon hide and bones to existing armour. Greaters could add demon flesh and bone to other sets too.

Or playing at a higher camera angle to feel the environment more. I mean we have been blessed quite well with our camera options, but why not push the button?

I think people will be most concerned with the load times for moving between areas.
