Raids - The Liberation of Mazcab (13/07/2015 Update)
If your clan is willing to take someone who isn't incompetent, but lacking experience I will go later in the week. I have been reading up on mechanics and it does seem like a tough fight.

Raids - The Liberation of Mazcab (13/07/2015 Update)
Getting comp back is going to be such a PITA with this hard cap and so few teams heading it up. I think boss encounters that usually require over 5 players should be classed as a trim pvm requirement. If raids progress in difficulty runescape will inevitably bring us 15-25 man raids. This might not happen until the system can smoothly run with that many players interacting though.

Why not high prestigeous unlock and subsequent levels increase proc rate?

Agreed +1 I just thought about agiloty having several skiling passives that increase in strength as you level. Like chances to parry, strike or recover for attack, strength and defense. Maybe chance to recover arrows more often in ranged and faster magic casting.

Dev Blog: Elite Skills
In the podcast with mod osborne he mentions that they are leaning towards now doing design document and more of a series of development blogs like in the past. I'm guessing this is because many of the components used in the skill could be gleaned from the concepts shown. This would cause an early market fluctuation, which would be unfair, because players would know which items would need to be broken down.

It certainly will, that is how Invention is being designed. I am at the moment expecting up to 50-80 gp/exp and am preparing for that slowly. Ive been working up my slayer drops and stuff i can potentially break down from smithing and crafting.

It will. My name is [player name], world guardian. Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair! That is my feeling towards invention.

I'll just put this here... The three sets are going to be called Primeval (mage), Tempest (ranged) and Teralith (melee). Set effects for all three sets are going to be giving all shields 25% of your mainhands damage. Also one of the abilities... http://i.imgur.com/lvD45NW.gifv

Behind the Scenes - July 2015
Honestly, I'm not too sold on the idea that runescape even needed raids or that they're a good idea. So, even if they work perfectly they may still suck. We'll see how it goes though, low expectations for this may mean I'll enjoy it more than I did the World Event where although the islands were relatively creative I had expected so much more and that killed it for me. If you looked at how PVM progresses in other games, such as wow, you can see a complexity progression similar to how runescape has gone from monsters such as the KBD to the KQ, giant mole to GWD, nex to rots/vorago... I hope you get the point. Now I think jagex is putting in another layer of complexity using stages. For example vorago has several phases, but I think jagex wants to add stages where the boss and maybe the environment completely change - almost like a completely new boss encounter, but not...

Runelabs high level boss mobs is up for vote starting today: Right now living wyverns (50%), ripper demons (49%) and camel monsters (46%) are the top three with acheron mammoths (43%) in fourth. PSA: These polls appear to be no where else other than in game so must be transcribed from the community poll tab.

I'm kind of interested how everyone fell into the mentality that raids was horribly broken before its release.

This appears to be the game from Mark Gerhard's new company that several J Mods have left Jagex to work on.
As far as chris l i would assume he outgrew what they could offer. With as much talent as he had in creating progression is boss fights it was going to eventually happen. I could eventually see his creativity being hindered by the system restrictions.

[29-6-15] Hero's Welcome | Summer Beach Party
Frankly I don't think you become a god from using the stone either. I think 'god' is just a term people (i.e. players and npcs alike) use to describe them. The longer you are in proximity to and use the stone the more power you absorb. I liken the power of the stone to radiation in that it becomes more potent the longer you are exposed to it. So you might use the stone to do some simple magic tricks, but that doesn't put you on Guthix' level. You can touch the stone and not use the power within; that makes you a stone-toucher. You can also touch it and pull the power from within; that makes you a false user. The dragonkin recognize people touch the stone and that doesn't hurt them. Those who touch it and pull from it hurt the dragonkin and thats what bothers them.
