hey guys been working on some noobie abstract lately trying to get good at abstract... but anyway here are some peices ive done, oh and if you guys could give me some C/C that'd be good :) btw, if u want any tell me and i will throw ur name on it and u can have it lol. #1 kinda basic but hey it was one of the first abstracts i did :> #2 i dont really like this one at all but it was just another experiment :) #3 this one was kinda a grungy abstract experiment. #4 this is a new abstract style on me but anyway tell me what u think of this one cuz this is the one i really wanna know how you think it looks and want C/C on... ty :)

^Do not do that if you want to improve realistically. At least from me, my pixels are full of mistakes and you'd be a fool to copy my work over a real live pic of someone. You're trying to draw people. Artists didn't invent people, so why go with what someone else said a human looks like, when you could look at the real thing (reference pic of a real human) and judge for yourself how it should look like in art. Copying other artwork to try to be accurate will only throw you off so much, remember each artist also makes mistakes when drawing, so if you copy them, you copy their mistakes as well, which is dumb to do. As for the pic, make the face more 3Dish by adding lightness to the nose. Otherwise, make it so he leans less in the air probably. thats a pretty valid point there but i wasnt saying oh make it real.. but i did say get the anatomy right which is partially wrong what i more meant was dont have a round circle for the shape of the head because it looks pretty bad, i was giving him references for a reference.. not to copy off... its more to show him what other people have done to learn from more skilled artists.. this is merely to show him that good artists dont use the circle tool for their heads :) i admit i said this the wrong wat but thankyou for correcting me, it had to be said though otherwise we would have another axeraider on our hands haha :P

very nice for a 1st attempt at a pixel youve acually taken time to get a good result from your image which not alot of new pixelers do... especially on there 1st sig.. now for my C/C ok well 1stly that head needs some fixing up.. just fix the anatomy on the head a bit.. look to misterxman or godslayer or princessa for a reference. I like the hair but the shading especially around the middle of the hair is a bit harsh going from a light grey to a dark grey very quick. you're shading is great for a 1st timer the use of shading on the robs is looking great exept i would fix the left arm a little (his right). another thing that needs working on is all that black.. i know its meant to be dark but it would be better i think if you made it diffrent shades so we can acually understand it clearly :) finally from me the last thing u need to fix up is the line work.. its slightly scetchy giving it a very alias (pixely) look try in a way "anti-alias" it by making the linework less bold, to see what i mean, use the line tool by dragging it across ur page and see the smooth line it makes (ofcource never use the line tool in your work because its a bad habbit and makes ur work look bad). ok well thats all from me.. GL with the rest of your pixel work and Good Work so far

thanks for C/C guys :) and i slightly changed it using some of your C/C gs but bull i kinda like the plain black bg.. =/ anyway here it is: edit: GS i did take into your account the chin thing and touched it up a little but i think the look of the chin may be because of the angle i made the head on :oops:

think of where your lightsource will be.. then try make the shadows correspond with your lightsource... shading is all about an even gradient of shades... this takes alot of practise to find your own shading style and get good at it, some people who've gotten very good at their shading style are mxm and godslayer.
