  1. so, wait, we can keep the mad god alive when we go back to get that energy for the sweet loot they're making? (sally struthers) "for just 10 minutes a day casting memories back into the rift, you could save a godchild in need from starvation"
  2. i just wanted a cape that was a combination of my other capes that i already own, but without the ridiculous assumption that there has to be more than just owning those capes
  3. 1. The hole's as large s her body, so she isn't physically trapped there, per se. 2. We're talking in relative terms, so what seems like a year to us is probably like an hour to beings that old. She's still dying, but she's also still a freaking elder god.
  4. still rampaging across the land, as evidenced by the recent change in the landscape that allows you to access seren's logs
  5. they should really have some monkey/ape themed rewards besides team gear though
  6. on a more lighthearted note, while i am disappointed that not many people have voted for evil furniture (they want revenge for being flatpacked!), i find it amusing that an almost equal number of people distrust ladybugs as they do void pests
  7. I get the impression that the patch bombs and the tickets are consumable, but the capes and the seedcrusher aren't (i refuse to call it seedicide) the minigame is also a permanent fixture, according to the devs, so it's fine if they're consumables
  8. worth what? what percentage of time will actually be saved by having it? unless the damn thing is actually putting memories into the hole at the same time you are, we traded away getting more loot from divine locations for this
  9. still pretty miffed at how useless the familiar is and that people voted for it would actually lose more time going to the bank to get a pouch for it than anything you actually gain from using it
  10. you actually still need the ring in order to reveal the ga'al if you haven't already, but otherwise you're set
  11. why would anybody make a completely useless slayer task on purpose
  12. Wait, they're gonna make nihils drop stuff? also, yeah, I more or less agreed that when they said "the elders sleep above us" that it was referring to some of the landmasses because I mean, elder gods are HUGE in the depictions they make of them since yesterday, I imagined a terrible joke in which we find a book titled "To Serve A God" and it turns out to be a cookbook A COOKBOOK!
  13. the tokhaar also claim to be a collective elder artifact in of themselves as they were created as a tool btw, to put this all in perspective
  14. They did buff it but it could use more of it, yes
  15. If you do attempt to sabotage his return, it is likely that he would rely on all of his significantly powerful minions to shame you for making that choice (engineered consequence of his design, hint hint), plus doing so doesn't actually STOP him from returning, it just makes his goal slightly harder. The gamble vs the payoff (convincing you, the one being that he has zero ability to control directly (save for the elder gods, and I guess Seren) and the overseer of the planet he is attempting to gain control of, and the one being who is apparently able to survive being harmed by an elder god without being shattered into your component pieces) is actually a more vital part of his plan than a lot of other things. Turning the choice into a zero sum game for you is pretty good odds for him. I believe that this is also why the decision to allow him to enter your body is impressed upon so vigorously by the dialogue choices (and why they would specifically create a situation that gives you that choice, with a clear incentive for making it in his favor with no readily apparent reason why you shouldn't do it), and why it is specifically noted in your quest journal. It might actually have some sort of consequence later on. But like he says, you have to live with your choices, and move forward regardless of the outcome, so even if this does result in a bad consequence later on, you'll probably have some means to overcome it, as difficult as it may be.
  16. I'm fine with not having to do a lot of crazy shit to get straight answers for once. Like, seriously. Granted, I would prefer to be able to get it over the course of several quests instead of those quests being total jerks and not being useful at all, but far be it from me to look this gift horse in the mouth or anything.
  17. considering all the stuff that happened in this quest, i'm sort of okay with not having to do more btw, the message you get when attempting to destroy the stick to get it out of your inventory, priceless
  18. Quest post-mortem.
  19. glacors are also not aggressive, so
  20. Id personally like to know that as well haha.
