Something like 1500 or so by now, although many evolve into others so the number of unique lines is more around 300-500.

Oh I edited my post, forgot to mention some stuff. I mean it's technically not pay2win, because you can roll the REM using free stones entirely, but good luck getting fully functional teams like that. You'll probably have to get lucky any roll a few key components then use farmable monsters to fill the rest of the slots. Unfortunately, I have spent money on this game LOL. Not worth it, that monster isn't even any good anymore. But dat art (Yes this game contains approximately 80% waifu. I assume that's part of the reason it sells so well.)

We do not speak of 2048. And eh, it kinda does. For the early/mid game you can just take any random team and if you're good at manipulating the board you will be fine. But after a while, you need to literally be a god at the game to run such an underwealming team and make any sort of progress at all. You will need RNG to bless you and give you stronger monsters. And the best monsters are all from a machine that functions essentially as a slot machine. You pull it, and 10% of the time you get a God (some of the best monsters in the game but even some of those are shit) or something worthless. And not every God will be useful for the teams you are trying to build. Oh yeah and rolling once costs about $5 unless you want to save up magic stones (used for rolls) that are handed out for free, even then you'd only get a roll every 2 weeks or so. Yeah I love the game. Really great gameplay and very fun, but damn if progressing past the endgame isn't annoying as hell. It's ok for me, since I've already managed to roll a highly skill-dependent team that will let me clear virtually any content as long as I have the skill to back it up, but there's a reason why this company posts a $2b revenue last year, or something like that, which over 90% of it coming from this game. EDIT: A few of my RL friends play, and I was talking to one of them. Every 2 weeks or so, they have what are called "Godfests", where a certain set of gods have a 3x chance of getting rolled on the machine. In an episode of drunken hopefulness, he spent something like $150 on rolls hoping to get Horus, one of the best Gods at the time. He didn't get it. And people spend like thousands on this game to keep completely up to date with each new patch of Gods released. EDIT2: Although I should be fair, you can get very far, perhaps even complete the game entirely (at least with the current content, they release more all the time) without rolling the Rare Egg Machine a single time, since the farmable monsters technically can allow you to do so. But the REM isn't even the only part of the RNG frustration in this game, so those players will probably still vent either way. And maybe I'm overly critical of this game. For a mobile, technically free game, it provides a ton of fun and entertainment value. Just don't fall into the trap of spending money on this, because it's literally worse than gambling.

HI GWYN@@@@@ That sounds like a [bleep]. None of you happened to play Puzzles and Dragons do you? I thought the RNG in Runescape was a troll, but THIS game. Let me tell you about this game. The RNGJesus in the sky smites your very soul for every minute you play this game. And the worst part is the game is actually a majority skill-dependent. So you can't even be like, "cus I'm really unlucky I can't beat dungeons in this game". No that's usually because you suck at the puzzles. But goddamn the team-building RNG is a killer. (although Thundurous was actually my favorite boss in the game)

Speaking of Satanism, I read a very interesting article about Satanism the other day. Also no calling each other kids. Only I can do that. Kids.

If you guys are still looking to do Nuzlocke runs on an emulator, may I recommend Pokemon Light Platinum? It's a hack but pretty well made and very fun with a ton of content. It's basically a custom storyline (with new gyms, bosses, and everything) run on the Pokemon Ruby game engine, but includes new moves and all Pokemon from the first 5 generations. I don't think any newer abilities are in the engine, though, so most Pokemon simply just have their ability changed to a preexisting one. For example my Excadrill has Sand Stream and it tends to screw over the rest of my team if they need to be switched in.

Yeah, and especially because there are so many viewers (almost 40k last time I checked) it's especially hectic now. When it first started there were only like 10k viewers or so and it was a lot more tame and less dumb shit happening like them tossing away their Moon Stone and half the chat typing "b" whenever there's an evolution.

<3 guys also i think you guys would enjoy this http://www.twitch.tv/twitchplayspokemon its a live stream of Pokemon Red where the viewers can control the character by typing basic GBC commands in chat. its hilarious. it took them about 3 hours to teach something Cut to get into Vermillion Gym. Spent roughly the same amount of time to get past Cerulean City, because every time they got past that house the Team Rocket broke into, there would be THAT GUY who made Red jump over the ledge, resetting all progress. I can't wait until they get to Safari Zone. That'll be one to watch.

for those that didn't know that word, like me (being honest) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Androgyny It's quite interesting, adrogyny seems cool. I wonder if that means they have characteristics from both sides (male and female) thus making them a master breed of peoples? :-D I was under the impression that androgyny only applies to appearance and behavior, not so much with actual physiology like sex organs and chemical differences, etc. For example, in the Matrix (first one), the two lead actors (blanking on their names. You know who I mean. The guy who was the One and the girl who actually survives) were chosen not only because they looked similar to each other, but also because they both looked androgynous. Another interesting fact, the other girl in the first Matrix, Switch, is transgendered. Originally, her "real" body is the one you see in the movie while in the Matrix, she becomes a man. This explains why she, or he if you prefer, calls herself/himself "Switch", as this is never explained in the final version of the film. I think there might be a few vague hints that made it to the final cut, but Switch's entire backstory gets cut, which is rather unfortunate. There's a lot of sexual identity stuff in the Matrix, actually, especially since one of the directors is transgendered, although I forget which one and which way. Really interesting to look into, actually, and rewatching the film with this in mind really opens your eyes to things you wouldnt've noticed before. Just dropping a little bit of knowledge on you guys to contribute; a really interesting topic we seem to find ourselves discussing :) Also Hedgehog, that only works if it's actually closer to your birthday.
