  1. what you should really be saying to Jagex. 'working hard, or hardly working?' And you know exactly what they're doing with their time? A scientist goes to work. He accidentally messes up a step. He has to publish his paper a month late. Did he just spend a month doing nothing or did he spend a month fixing his mistakes?
  2. If you read the entire suggestion, there's a little more to my suggestion than just that Yes and no. You suggested places for general armor (such as rune) for all three combat types as well as specialty armors (such as barrows). Well, they all fall under the umbrella of "combat armor", so they can all be thrown into the Armor Case, correct? And you suggested a way to try on the armor. Might as well just add that to the entire Costume room. I see your point, but I think we should be able to organize it a little better than just adding a "Misc. Armor Box" to the Costume Room which can hold anything and everything. Also, I may not have been clear about the "Armor Stands," but it's not a way to try on the armor so much as a way to display the armor you normally use. i.e.: 1. Rune full helm 2. Amulet of Power 3. Wilderness Cape 4. Rune Platebody 5. Rune Berserker Shield 5. Dragon Longsword 6. Rune Gloves 7. Ring of Life 8. Rune Platelegs 9. Combat boots Alternatively, your other Melee armor stand could be holding your typical slaying equipment. I'm not sure if other people would like that idea, but there could also be the option when the box is open of automatically equipping everything on the armor stand and placing everything your are wearing in your inventory. This could save you some time when getting ready to fight, slay, etc. Right, you could separate the armor case. For example when you open it, it's divided into "Melee", "Magic", "Ranged", and "Other". Problem solved. And you can already display your armor, why not just improve onto that?
  3. TORAGS: You're wrong. Torags has the EXACT SAME defense bonuses as guthans and dharoks. The helm and legs also match the corresponding veracs pieces (but are inferior since Veracs gives prayer). So no, it's not the best. It's equal or worse. GUTHAN: Obsolete really. Bunyip/Unicorn/SGS/Excalibur/Pizzas/Regen Brace/Rapid Heal have pretty much replaced every single one of its viable uses. Sure it's still GOOD in some places, but in no where I know of is it the BEST. VERAC: Agreed on PvP, but it's worthless for boss monsters. As said before, it's GOOD, but not the BEST. Godswords deal with TDs, GWD, and DKS much better and the KQ is official obsolete as a boss monster. DHAROK: The max is a perfect 99 on another player. Yes, it's great for the high hits. Agreed. KARIL: Yeah, the xbow is awesome, but the major two turnoffs are irretrievable ammo and it being 2h. It's NOT noob for the rest of the set. It's the second best magic defense in the game. Only Armadyl is better, which costs like 20x more, and Armadyl gives negative melee attack bonuses. Only truly worthless piece is the coif. AHRIMS: Agreed, but who else except a mage would use mage armor anyway? It's good for mages, and that's all that matters. The staff isn't so good, and the Farseer can compete with the hood, but the top and bottom is awesome. [/hide] True on Ahrims, I didnt think about the defence of it. :wall: I still have to disagree with torag though. I used it all the time when I did do combat, and it seems to have the best defence is the game, but then again I might be wrong. Ah well, if i ever do combat again, it will be with torag ;) EDIT:1000th post im so happy :D Well the best defense in the game is actually the PvP armors coupled with a Dragonfire shield or Elysian Spirit Shield (or the other one, you get what I mean). But if you compared the stats of Torags Legs, Dharoks Legs, Veracs Skirt, and Guthans Skirt, you'll find they're the same. So they're really equal. Actually that's a lie, because Veracs is the best of the 4 (prayer bonus). But if you look at defenses alone, they're all the same. Although Torags does tend to be the cheapest, you have to watch those prices carefully. Dharoks is currently the cheapest platebody.
  4. But imagine: You're reading a new quest guide: "Plenty of food, lots teleport runes, Ring Of Life, Energy restores (potions or familiar). You may also want to bring a weapon and either armour or prayer robes (and prayer potions) because you will be under constant strong melee attack during almost all of the quest." (Adapted from real quest) What are you going to bring? You need to run A LOT. You need to fight A LOT. You will be under constant ATTACK. Are you going to bring your bulky torags? Your prossy? DRAGONHIDE? What could be the best solution? Fighter torso, of course. Most quests are more or less copies of the above. You need to fight something or will be attacked and you will need to run around a lot. Barrows is too heavy, and praying will cost too much (and it'll be heavier as well, and take up more invent space for the potions). That's only one example. At ZMI, for example, replacing the above setup I gave with the Fighter Torso (instead of Larupia Top) gives you insanely high defenses. I've found that I could pray magic and take no damage when doing my runs. Was I going to bring barrows for that defense? No. 1) It's heavier than my friend's uncle and 2) It's defense is way overkill. It's also terrific at the wilderness agility course. So really, if Duradel is sending you to the Dagannoths again, then yeah the torso is worse. But if someone is making you run the length of the Runescape world while dodging many enemies and having to kill some, or if you must continuously run past hordes of enemies under constant attack, which is better?

  6. Agree with all of it but the dreaded torso isn't worth it and d legs can be swapped for skirt for cheaper and lighter version. It's virtually weightless, provides defense about the same as adamant, and gives attack and strength bonuses to match a multi-million piece armor. Sure it's terrible for actual COMBAT, but for general exploring, questing, and wandering, it's great. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=777290 Doesn't really seem like a good thread to post if the first few posts are "it's worth it" Yeah, there's good info there. It's all stuff I agree with actually. It says that Barrows is superior in combat. That's true, it is. It says that for the attack bonus, Prossy is better. That's true, it is. However, is that what we're addressing here? No, it is not. That is general COMBAT, while we're talking about general GAMEPLAY. Fighter Torso is one of the best things you can have. It's obsolete for direct combat, but in places where you're just exploring or running around a lot, it's much, much better than Barrows, Bandos, or Prossy. You really can't get anything else that weighs less than 1kg that gives that many bonuses.
  7. After 80, the Dorgshuun Course has been proven superior to Ape Atoll. 1. If you want it, get it. That's what I've always believed. There's nothing stopping you. 2. I'm not one to say. If I calculate right...over 200 hours 3. Awesome cape, awesome emote, and arguably the most useful 99. I would consider getting it, yeah. 4. Ape Atoll until 80/85, then Dorg to 99. Fastest xp is right there, unless they update Agility to make a faster course/improve old ones.
  8. While Ape Atoll would be the best xp, the truly best place to Ice Burst would be Rock Lobsters. It's slower, but the charms make up for everything.

  10. There's already and armor case and cape rack. All you'd have to do is extend those.

Try a 50/50 world. It's the ONLY way of GUARANTEEING you'd win half the time. F2P world is 7, I'm not sure about the p2p one.
  13. The Sheep from Sheep Shearer/Herder kept running away from me too. :x I think I would have to say the hardest quests for me have been the ones with many item requirements and many quest items picked up during the quest, while at the same time requiring combat + food. Damn those were annoying. The hardest single quest must've been Contact. I died twice there. I've only ever died 5 times in this game outside of PvP. Two of those were from the stupid beetle. Funnily enough, when I did Dealing with Scarabas a few months later, the beetle was pathetically easy...
  14. You speak wisely Brother. :twss: LIES! bandos armour I'm not so sure. It seems really pointless to me. I can afford a few Bandos sets as well, and I've owned it twice...both times I've sold it away again. There's very little benefit.
  15. yup thats the glitch which is going around :D pretty stupid to post on youtube tbh Yeah...honestly....that was a smart move :wall: "Yeah lol check it out I found this glitch which is totally bug abuse let me show every single person on the internet maybe I won't get caught!" Genius
  16. "Best"? The set up that gives me decent defense and keeps me low in weight follows: Bearhelm, Crystal Shield, Penance Gloves, Boots of Lightness, Spottier Cape, Larupia Top, Black dhide chaps, glory/fury. Melee defenses over 100, range defense around 100, magic defense around 50, weight = 0kg-1kg Nice, no? When you are first exploring the world, bringing that, or something close to it, would be ideal. Few places you visit can tear past that defense quickly enough to be a critical threat, so you're safe. Once you get to know the world better, however, you should prepare yourself beforehand and bring only what you need. If there are no monsters, just bring the cape, gloves, and boots, for example. If it's heavy in combat, you may want to switch the armor around. Replace the larupia top with prossy or barrows, for example, or the bearhelm for a neitiz.
  17. Armory is better added as an extension to the PoH costume room, but I see you've support that idea (thanks btw :) ) The Entrance Hall...I don't think we "need" it, especially since there's a formal garden that works just as well. I admit though, it would be nice to have. EDIT: I think you should put it all into one post and separate them with hide tags. 18. Actually, in the f2p world when everyone has impermeable rune armor and everyone runs, it is a good idea. The only problem is the one mentioned above. This would make it even EASIER to get EP. They could make it so that you wouldn't get EP in deathmatches. And no, this isn't a replacement for duel arena. But the even simpler fix is to not add it at all and just mutually agree with your opponent not to run. How often do they actually not run? 99.9% of all pkers you run into are non-honor; good luck having one actually stay, even if you yourself planned to stay. That's not exactly what I meant. I mean if you want to have a good fight, arrange it yourself in advance. For example, on TIF's DMR system. It doesn't have to be on the spot.
  19. I've been told it's 80k, so I admit it's not my own data. When I meleed them without familiars years ago I got 40k or so ranged xp, so you should expect AT LEAST that.

  21. No. If you get tb'd, you are tb'd. However, using mage prayer will prevent Revs from tb'ing and it will make player's tb splash 50% of the time.
  22. I Agree, but another method you could use is yaks, fire giants or ogres at king lathas training camp usng bronze knifes. Or for a even faster method where you even make a little more money you can try cannoning ice trolls! This is a question about ice trolls. Is there a good guide out there about them? What is the exp/hr?? Great guide on TruthScape, I think it's 80k xp per hour if you range with the cannon.
  23. Flesh crawlers. See my f2p combat guide for more details. It'll tell you everything you need. Link in sig.
  24. There are probably more than we can list.
