MEP2 wasn't that hard for me. It was LONG sure, it was ANNOYING sure, but was it hard, difficult, or challenging as many of you say? Not really. If you understood what you were doing and knew where to go, it's pretty much a slightly harder One Small Favour. However, on many of these "challenging" quests, I do them with a friend. Whenever I was unsure, we both did separate attempts. It really helped, so that may be why it wasn't too bad for me. I mean, when I think MEP2 I don't think "omg I almost ripped my hair out". I think, "Fun, long, but rewarding".

If you really want efficiency, you need to tell us your cash/hour income. Needles are only good if you make under 400k gp per hour (or something like that, I forget the exact number calculated).

What? Here's the deal. From my level (82) to 99, it's 14m. So it should be a little less than half of that for you. That's loss. Buying everything, processing, and selling back.

That's true. You'd get faster kills with a SS or ZS. Still, you'd have to bank more. Perhaps, though, with Excalibur you could make up for the bunyip. Although...20 hp in 5 minutes isn't very much...Maybe a Spinner + Excalibur?

The high level is more of a diversion than anything else. I tested fleshies and spiders and spiders consistently were better. But I am 96/99/90. Just a personal tip to you. I do the same thing you do. I run to the Catablepoons at the northern spot. Here's a special trick. You know how sometimes when you run to them, they don't attack you the moment you enter their room? You know how sometimes you gotta run all the way to the corner of the room, or sometimes how it doesn't reset aggression at all? The trick is this: after you go past the first set of gates, you run WEST to the gates 5 squares away. Stand in front of them, but you do not have to go through them. THEN run to the catablepoons. This is a surefire way and it has worked for me without exception. I tested the spiders and scorpions. Both gave me ~7.5k in 10 minutes on average (give or take like 50 xp or so.) But once again, I'm 96/99/90, so that would explain why. Thanks for your post.

No, Ray is right. It's 24 hours from the last time. It doesn't reset like Stars or Phoenixes do.

You don't need to risk 75k to gain EP, although that is a good option with its benefits.

For most high levels, they aren't. I believe someone calculated that if you made over 400k or so per hour, the needles are worse for you.

CPU Fox can shine me out of Falco's side b too. But that doesn't mean it's easy to. There are some things that CPUs can do, which do prove that humans CAN do it, but that means nothing if you can't do it consistently.

Guthans is the best option if you do not have 68 summoning, otherwise, it's inferior.

You don't need a 99 to write a guide. As long as you have good information, I'd say go for it! And if anyone flames you for a pathetic reason like that...well...I'm sure you can deal with them just fine :

what you should really be saying to Jagex. 'working hard, or hardly working?' And you know exactly what they're doing with their time? A scientist goes to work. He accidentally messes up a step. He has to publish his paper a month late. Did he just spend a month doing nothing or did he spend a month fixing his mistakes? Welcome to the world of programming and software development. [cabbage] happens, delays are inevitable, and projects may be scrapped. Calling them lazy/incompetent/useless/slackers is not going to get the job done faster; it'll be ready when it's ready. In the mean time, should all other projects be put on the back burner because of a few critical system bugs? what else has come out! seriously look at what they managed last year. tell me they can't handle a decent update a month! A lot has come out. Just because you don't LIKE the updates doesn't mean Jagex didn't work hard to make them. And it is impossible to go from concept -> full implementation in a month. IMPOSSIBLE. The whole process takes at least a few months, I would guess about 4 to 6.
