No you shouldn't. If you're a pure, you VOLUNTARILY choose to ignore part of the game. So if you accidentally train it, that's your own fault. If you choose to not train defense, then you must suffer any and all consequences that result from it, that includes accidentally leveling it up.

    Who doesn't?

Why 4 stock? Always a 10 stock match for me when I want to train
  4. I remember when they went as low as 250 gp once (or even lower? I forget). They've been on a constant (well, not constant, but overall) rise since RWT updates. Not very surprising tbh, but noteworthy I'd say. I remembered that as well. Hopefully more wcers will think about using yew logs for making money to bring them down again. I'm sure PvP drops have affected this as well? More people using PvP for moneymaking = less yew cutters = less supply = higher price. PvP probably played its role as well. But let's face it, without macroers, it probably isn't going to be under 300, or even 350 gp again.

  6. The tips of a battleaxe aren't as pointed as in the picture. Also, only in pickaxes is the handle slightly seen above the axe head. This is not the case for a battleaxe. It's a pickaxe and it's most likely a typo.
  7. You'd have to train on a minster that has low attack (since you have 1 defense) and good drops. Try suggesting one. This would be easier for a range pure; they can safespot. Cows?

Thunder owns. I mean honestly, thunder owns. If you're playing as Pikachu and aren't using Thunder a lot, then you aren't really trying to win the match. It would be like playing as Falco and not trying to Chaingrab/Laser Lock/[bleep]e. Best thing about it (I think) is that it stops all falling momentum when it actually makes contact with Pikachu. There are vids of people pulling of 5 thunders offstage and getting back onto the ledge. That's pretty good for edgeguarding, although very predictable and kinda easy to dodge once you catch on. Worst thing about it is that it's probably the thing that everyone expects.
  9. I'm not very good at programming, but I'd imagine I'd only be 2 "if then" statements: If magic defense is <0, then double magic defense If magic defense is >0, then halve magic defense But in all honesty, it's stuff like this that Jagex should decide if it's possible, not the players. I respect (and appreciate) you bringing this up, but I think that Jagex knows if they can do it or not. If not, I'm sure they can just halve the level like you suggested.
  10. Not destroy the economy, just redirect a portion of it. Just because there are new items, doesn't mean that the prices of everything else will rise or fall (like the newest PvP artifacts updates threatens). It just means that more people will want to spend money of these items. I don't follow your logic. I don't see how number 1 will help at all, and I don't see how number 2 supports the point of this idea. Plus, it's fine in PvP worlds because of reasons stated in the post.
  11. So let me see then. The attack bonus is ~32% of the defense bonus. 466 defense vs 147 attack. Now we can assume that the 99 attack and 99 defense cancel each other out. The super attack/sara brew also cancel each other out. However, piety and titan/void both favor defense. Piety gives 25% percent to your defense, but only 20% to your attack. So it would actually be level 124 defense vs. 119 attack (before potting, which results in an equal level rise anyway, so it can be ignored). Now, does Void gives bonus to your level or to your item bonuses? I'll look at both. If level: Add another 10% of 99 to the attack to make 129 attack level vs 124 defense level. Then take the 466 defense, add 15% to make 536 slash defense vs. 147 slash attack. That means that it would be a fight between 129 attack +147 against 124 defense +536. If item: Add 10% to the attack bonus for 119 attack +162 against 124 defense +536. Now another split: does 1 item bonus = 1 level? I'm almost certain it doesn't, but IF it is: If level: 276 attack v 660 defense: You'd be hit ~42% of the time If item: 266 attack v 660 defense: You'd be hit ~40% of the time
  12. A mage-based melee weapon would be interesting.
  13. This game was not always meant to be about pking...
  14. When I first became a member and ran around doing all those quests, I gained a magic level from all the teleports.
  15. It takes 4 defense/hp levels to gain a full combat level (assuming attack and strength play no part). You'll be fine, just continue as normal.

Do you get higher than doing a regular jump or something?
  17. Zaaps1 replied to Caxis's topic in Off-Topic
How do you do a Foxcopter? I can never get it right. Is it just doing the Fair but DI-ing upward?
  18. Stuff gets updated...that's just the way it is. Imagine getting 99 prayer, then the Ectofungus comes out the next day.
  19. For the safespot section, you may want to link to the Guide to Advanced Monster Blocking. For Scarabites, you should also consider the ones in the swamp west of the Agility Pyramid. It's much safer. The best place is in the NE corner so you can use the Scarabas statue as cover when they are aggressive. It's very fast. They have different drops than the ones in the Contact dungeon. They drop no charms, but I think they have better drops overall. In a task of just 50, I got 181k of drops there. I used 12 pineapple pizzas w/ SGS (forgot Bunyip). One of the drops was 45 law runes, in just one kill. You can cannon there as well. No lightsource required. There is desert heat, but I think it can be prevented if you stand next to the swampy part of the area (next to a laker). Beware the Giant Locusts (not the Scarabites riding locusts, but the locusts without a rider) do not count as Scarabites.
  20. exactly! Btw, if the -kg = 0kg is true, then I think that should be a DYK for the tip.it times. Seems like it's not common knowledge(I didn't know) It is true, I can assure you. Jagex said that somewhere, but I forget where it was. But yeah, it should be a DYK.
  21. -36 kg is the same as 0 kg. So there is absolutely no point having negetive weight? Whats the point of the items then? As said above, so you can carry heavier items. For example, now you could probably runecrafting with a Torag's platebody + Agile legs and still be close to 0kg.

I think shielding more would be the easiest fix out of the three, but I'm not so sure. You also have the most to lose if you don't get it down.
  23. Didn't you fail a lot at 86 agility?
